L'antica Mozia è stata un'importante colonia fenicia ed è uno dei più importanti siti archeologi al mondo. Adesso fa parte della Riserva naturale dello Stagnone di Marsala. Giuseppe Whitaker fu fondamentale per la valorizzazione del sito. Comprò l'isola, ora di proprietà della fondazione, e avviò una serie di importanti campagne di scavi creando anche un museo. Tra i luoghi che non dimenticherò mai merita un posto speciale ERICE in provincia di TRAPANI nella meravigliosa SICILIA. 🇮🇹

Non dimenticherò' mai quando partendo dal sole della spiaggia mi ritrovai in cima a questo monte avvolto da una misteriosa nebbia e cominciai a camminare per il borgo aspettandomi dietro ogni angolo un passaggio segreto che mi facesse viaggiare indietro nel tempo.

ERICE è un luogo che sembra fuori dal tempo e dallo spazio come le sue origini che si perdono nel passato.

Mille storie sembrano inseguirsi sulle sue strade acciottolate di origine medioevale.

E non puoi fare a meno di chiederti quante incredibili storie i muri di Erice hanno visto.

Visitare Erice significa perdersi tra mille scorci di stradine basolate, fortificazioni, antiche chiese, conventi, botteghe artigiane , pinete e giardini, per poi smarrirsi, sul bordo della cittadina, in panorami mozzafiato verso le isole Egadi, lo Stagnone, le Saline e i campi coltivati di tutta la provincia di Trapani.

This week for my activity part of CAS I kite-surfed. My home spot is the Hel peninsula in Poland and this is where I have kite surfed the most so whenever I discover a new spot it takes some adjustments in order to feel comfortable. I went to Los Stagnone a historical kitesurfing spot in Sicily. Even though the conditions are near perfect because of the flat shallow water but the downside of flat water is that it is easy to hurt yourself or destroy your gear.

(1) Tonnara di Scopello, one of Sicily's oldest tuna fishing facilities, dating back to the 13th century. Unfortunately, the site is heavily exploited and has become more a tourist than a tuna trap. Buongiorno Sicily - Kiteboarding Trip

The far west coast of Sicily in Lo Stagnone is a beautiful place for kiteboarding. We stayed at the Alby Rondina ProCenter which was right on the water. The forecast for the week was showing light to no wind but we were able to kiteboard 6 out of 7 days due to a thermal wind that kicks up in the afternoon during the summer time.

DANCING OUT IN SPACE

Enfin les beaux jours ! L'immense toile à ses pieds, Deyn peins frénétiquement, l'inspiration le tenaille comme une drogue dure. Il ne s'arrêtera pas avant de l'avoir terminée. Le soleil se cache progressivement derrière l'horizon. Deyn, assis devant son œuvre, l'observe sans savoir que penser. Il n'a pas l'impression de l'avoir peinte et pourtant, c'est bien son travail qui se déploie sous ses yeux, tel un univers inconnu qu'il aurait inconsciemment révélé. Quelque chose est en train de se produire, au delà de sa conscience du monde.

— L'univers se brise en milliards d'étoiles. Il continue son expension, mais nous autres, pauvres humains, nous dégénérons. Nous stagnons dans une société stérile.

La voix résonne dans son dos, Gilmore se retourne. Une jeune femme au longs cheveux noirs, à la peau d'ébène et aux yeux couleur or, se tient face à lui. Elle se penche sur le côté, puis tourne autour de la toile. Deyn est surpris. D'où peut-elle venir ? Il ne l'a pas entendue.

— Tu étais tellement concentré, que tu n'aurais pas entendu un avion passer, lança-t-elle avant qu'il n'ai eu le temps de dire quoi que ce soit.

Il reste planté là, l'esprit vidé, l'inconnue l'observe comme si elle voyait en lui quelque chose dont il n'a pas conscience. Mais c'est là, en lui. Elle dévie soudainement son regard lumineux sur la toile :

— On dirait la nébuleuse de Kelfax.

— Peut-être, je ne connais pas, lui répond Gilmore, intrigué.

— C'est normal, Kelfax Alpha vient juste d'exploser.

Bien sûr, il n'y a pas un chat à la ronde, il a fallu que je tombe sur une échappée de l'asile !

— Je ne sors pas de l'asile, Deyn... annonce-t-elle sur un ton serein.

— Mais comment sais-tu...

Il n'a pas le temps de finir.

— Ce n'est pas l'heure, Deyn Gideon Gilmore.

Tournant les talons, la jeune femme s'engouffre dans un des bâtiments désaffectés entourant le terrain vague. L'artiste lui court après, mais elle a disparu. Il la cherche un moment, puis retourne vers sa toile. Il fait noir. La nuit a enveloppé la friche sans qu'il ne s'en rende compte. Il est temps pour lui de rentrer au bercail.

Quelle étrange rencontre... Inquiet, le jeune homme se demande s'il ne commence pas à avoir des hallucinations. Elle semblait si réelle, pourtant.
