Nutcracker!AU

Shadowpeach and Spiceynoodle Nutcracker AU! Still rough and not sure if I'll ever be able to write it but getting the idea out here for the fandom.

SWK as the nutcracker, MK as Clara trying to free him once he hears SWKs story and wants to go on a Magical world adventure! LBD is the rat king and has the sugar plum fairy aka Macaque hostage/under her control. Mac could fix SWK but she has him manipulated/mind controlled into thinking SWK is the enemy (either they were lovers or were past lovers but friends before LBD). Doesn't help that SWK was a spoiled prince so that doesn't gain him a lot of favors from his people. Like his past leading general/advisor DBK and PIF. Who now run a hidden shelter for the survivors (basically rulling the people left at this point). SWK and MK eventually get chased into their area where Red Son helps them out. DBK takes them in and yells at SWK how this is your fault you never listened, never took threats seriously, etc. And SWK is like I'm immortal and all powerful I thought I could handle her. "And now you are made of wood...good job". Meanwhile MK follows RS around and helps him build stuff and help with the shelter ~bonding time~. Anyway they all strategizes how to save their kingdom and SWK is the key, meaning they need Mac to free him, so step one free Mac. Which is an ordeal, physically and emotionally since Mac's mind was messed with. But yadda yadda fights and confrontations, more side bonding with MK and RS fighting side by side cause he didn't want to stay hidden in the shelter anymore and went with SWK and MK to fight. Mac gets saved, transforms Wukong back cause true love 💕. They all go to confront LBD. DBK and PIF bring the robot army RS had been working on (it's not as massive in the show though, maybe like 15-20).

Big fight! Big victory! They don't kill LBD, MK had the opportunity for a killing blow but he can't do it. He doesn't want to kill anyone! So they bind and lock her up. But as their doing their big victory party and MK and RS are being all cutesy around each other. Mayor pops out and blasts MK with something causing him to begin literally to fade away. RS tries to grab MK but can't, he goes through him, SWK doing the same. Mac has Mayor down and is demanding to know what he did to MK but he just keeps laughing till MK fades to nothing.

MK then tumbles onto the floor as he jolts awake. He's all confused but his Dads Tang and Pigsy run in to see what the commotion was. MKs all frazzled and confused cause what just happened?! They remind him he had a sleepover with Mei (passed out upstairs still) and both of them had way too much sugar and alcohol during their "all-night-drunk gaming run". So MKs all sad cause he's like that was all a dream?? Some time later (days, weeks, months, whatever) and SWK comes knocking on their door saying he's looking for his protege. The kid who definitely signed up online and submitted an excellent resume and who SWK accepted. Tang and Pigsy are like "sounds fake but ok, MK come down here" and MK flips out seeing SWK who just winks at him and mimes for him to keep quiet behind his dad's back. SWK wants to talk with MK privately but the Dads are skeptic as hell and thats when Red Son (who has lost his patience sitting the car waiting) runs in. MK doesn't try to not recognize RS and they reunite and it's cute. Tang and Pigsy are still hella lost but SWK is happy. And then out of nowhere pops up Mac who smooths the Dad's tempers/confusion like a boss. And happy ending for both couples 💖

About the whole mating mark thing. Did you come up with the idea just for that spiceynoodle fic or have you had that idea for awhile and just saw an opportunity to finally talk about it? - Pixel Anon

Well if you talking about mating marks in general I feel like the collective fandom came up with that one so because I saw it a few times before writing something like that myself.

Now if your talking spesifically about TANG marking Pigsy FIRST that's definitely an idea I rolled around in my head a bit but never talked about lol. Tang is just more assertive relationship wise in my head and with the combined personal head cannon that Pigsy tries to ignore his demon instics more than most it just made sense (and also just would be funnier) that Tang is the one to do the chomp chomp to claim his man.
