Todd McFarlane Productions Announces "The New U" Titles

Todd McFarlanes Spawn Universe is laying the foundation of a lineup of new comics called "The New U." This new era will follow the events of Spawn #350. The first three "The New U" comics are Sam & Twitch: Case Files, Rat City, and Monolith. "The New U" comics will span a variety of genres, including crime, horror, science-fiction, drama, and comedy.

Sam & Twitch: Case Files puts the detectives front and center in their own series. The comic hails from McFarlane and Jon Goff and artist Szymon Kudrański.

Sam & Twitch: Case Files #1 goes on sale on March 27, 2024.

Rat City, from Erica Schultz and Zé Carlos, follows Peter Cairn, ex-soldier, amputee, and Hellspawn in a post-war future. "But Peter isn't dead like Al. Peter got his Spawn powers from the nanites in his prosthetic legs—nanites that were affected when Al Simmons initiated his necroplasmic detonation in the present. Al had no clue that the effects would ripple across—not just space—and but time as well." (Image Comics)

Rat City #1 goes on sale on April 10, 2024.

Monolith, from Sean Lewis and Valerio Giangiordano, is a three part miniseries that explores the Hellspawn Monolith's origin and what his connection is with Omega Spawn.

Monolith #1 (of 3) goes on sale on May 15, 2024.

Inspired by this iconic scene.

When Jason was with the League, he'd thought he'd spotted something lingering above the pits sometimes. Then again, he'd also been hopped up into a mad rage by nasty death water, so his memory wasn't credible by any means.

But after a particularly bad day, as Jason just sits in front of the Pits looking at his reflection, he looks up.

"Hello, handsome."

Gorgeous eyes looking down, freckles dotting the skin. White hair gracefully flowing, a playful smile directed at him.

"What a day, hm? You look lonely..."

A warm bubbly feeling sprouts in his chest. Like if pit rage had a distant cousin.

"I can fix that."

Spawn Universe's Cyan Fitzgerald Gets Comic Book Series

Cyan Fitzgerald, from the Spawn Universe, is getting a coming-of-age, four-issue miniseries. Misery will be written by Todd McFarlane and illustrated by Szymon Kudrański. The comic hails from Image Comics and Todd McFarlane Productions.

"Cyan is now a 17-year-old trying to forge a life of her own after the tragic loss of her mother, Wanda, whose character was the inspiration for Spawn's existence in the first place. Now, as Cyan grapples with her grief and seeks to find her purpose, she discovers hidden powers emerging in her. A newfound gift—and curse—for ‘healing’ will force her to distance herself from those she loves most at a time when she needs their support." To make matters worse, Cyan's ability has a tremendous cost as "each touch unleashes the darkest memories and emotions of the person she touches, leaving Cyan to bear the weight of their suffering as her own."
