I actually decided to read some of the original sources of the third servile war (spartacus war)

#these historians are writing after the fact but its pretty detailed #im gonna watch some breakups in this show if they follow the basic account that spartacus army split #they mentioned crixus and onomaeus by name? i was like oh this is real ppl #these historians also said that he couldve marched on rome like it was a worry could u imagine #whats also funny is that one of the accounts said he was more greek which means oh hes not stupid like other thracians which is #extremely narcissistic bc it cant be like that other ppl who are not roman or greek are also as complex as you it has to be that #spartacus is special uniquely greek for his ppl #i actually got the accounts by reading the book i used for my thesis #its just greek and roman slavery a sourcebook by thomas wiedemann #u can get it at zlibrary #on to the 4th season #technically third bc i did not watch the second one bc it was a prequel series
