This is interesting stuff, thank you for elaborating! 2 things that stuck out to me, though: 1) does it really read as blood libel stuff when it's done *to* the jewish coded characters instead of *by* them? 2) if the story told by the father is a lie, doesn't that make the ecofascism diagetic? Thanks and good day!
1) Let me put it this way: In Sweet Tooth, there is a virus that suddenly appears whose symptoms manifest as antisemitic stereotypes/tropes. The treatment (but not cure) for the virus is derived from captured "hybrids" (humans with animal characteristics that started being born after the virus), all of whom are children. The treatment hides the symptoms (which are antisemitic dog-whistles), and also is of course only pursued by those who have "the sick". In other words, In order to hide that someone has The Disease, which looks like Antisemitic Dog Whistles, they need to have what amounts to the blood of children.
2) The story told by the father came off, to me at least, as a half-true situation where details were exaggerated/lied about, but the father framing The Virus as "Nature's Punishment for The Greedy Few" is one of the earlier explanations we get of The Sick. The way the story is told and framed if anything makes it seem like the truest part of it was specifically the thing about the virus coming to wipe out the greedy people and protect nature, and the fires and the kid being the only hybrid left were exaggerations. I was unclear on this sorry.
I will say there seems to be some mixed messages regarding the "hybrid" children (which, btw, not hybrids, just kids what have deer ears), but frankly theres a point at which all the other shit piling up makes me not want to even try considering what the fuck this shit is trying to say. Maybe theyre trying to sanitize it? If I watched more/again I might be able to give something better on this but honestly part of the thing with fascists is their world view is inherently fucked and distorted so maybe it just makes sense that a story they write is self-contradictory
