SOFFA
Soffa is a bi-monthly design and lifestyle European magazine based in Prague. The idea behind the magazine stems from a collective groups passion with design, Interiors, Travel, and great food. Soffa Magazine is designed to appeal to young audience’s inspiration from Design, Photography and Art.  The website has a minimalist feel, with a range of photographs to visually guide you through the websites content.
Design: including page layout, colour, typography, white space (that is, the space around the different page elements) and graphic content
The website is designed for the English speaker and the Czech Language speakers. The advantage of this is to allow magazine to be shared with the rest of the world. As English is widely spoken in most countries, in Europe and rest of the world. The website has a simple design layout, which allows for the content to be the forefront. Soffa uses images to communicate with their viewers. The amount of test seen on the website is minimal, leaving the viewer a chance to be inspired by the content that Soffa shares in their magazine. The Logo at the top of the webpage is designed as part of the pages header. This also is an effective way to introduce SOFFA without distracting from concept of the magazine’s webpage.
The white page works well with the graphic visual content on the website. The navigation bar is visible at the top of the page in black standard Sans-Serif font. This is consistent throughout the theme of the blog and the webpage.
The Magazine, and shop tabs have similar formats with the grid format where the magazines and the Soffa designed products are displayed similar to a portfolio layout. You are able to easily see what each image is a representation of.
Navigation/ Usability: such as how hard is it to use find your way around the site?
Very Simple, easy navigation tools with tabs at the top. The links are clickable and take your effortlessly to the desired secondary page. Clickable links are text and Image based, seen throughout the webpages on the Soffa Mag website. On every page you have access to the social networks Soffa have as a way to share their content with viewers as well as visitors to share their content with their own followers. On every page you have access to where you can access the magazine and which issue is the current one, this great if you are new to the website or member.
Content: comment on the content and how effective using a blog/web page has been in presenting this kind of information.
There blog part of the webpage is being used but not as effective as it could be. It is currently be updated with events that have been taken place with Soffa. The image alongside the font is a great way to capture the reader before they see what the post is bout. The text is concise and straight to the point, engaging enough for the magazines young audience. Mind Travelers is the space designated for members (Soffa Friends) to share their work and ideas with each other. The map is a great added feature so that you can find Soffa friends near you, as well as find like-minded collaborators from around the globe.
Collate: research into other areas of graphic design and visual communication
The website displays the partners that work with Soffa, which is a great when looking to partnering with Soffa or any of their partners. Soffa is also active on Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube which are all great platforms to research graphic design and visual content with Soffa.
