#just jak things #[The Jackal and the Wolf] #Not Even Bones #book series #whump #whump books #the two 'protagonists' have a dynamic that's so like Jak/Kets #like I have literally written this exact scene almost word for word before #except these two are totally asexual! #so if you like dark themes/whump this is an excellent series that doesn't focus on the sex of it all and the romance is kept light #it's the kind that's relegated to maybe hand-holding & cuddling some; these two connect SO deeply though that it's still beautiful & fucked #this is VERY dark material though - the exploration of morality is just up my alley (also it is modern/supernatural creature themed)
