after trying almost every art form that exists, i can safely say the least soul bearing one is beading and the most soul bearing is writing. with knitting/weaving/felting/sewing on the lower end of the spectrum and drawing/painting/sculpting on the higher end and carving and photography somewhere right in the middle. and don’t even get me started on acting/music/dance/singing that’s smth different entirely… that’s not to say that any of them are Completely un-soul-bearing. but if u pick the wrong one to put specific emotions into well. good luck

#also for me personally… easiest: photography. hardest: sculpting. easiesthardest: writing. #acting is very…… it’s easy unless u think about it then it’s hard. it’s completely soul bearing unless u decide ur not You in the moment. #singing is the same way don’t think about it #collage is a bit less soul bearing unless ur working with word cutouts then it’s closer to poetry which is writing which is the highest #cooking counts too and actually is on the lower end of soul bearing at surface level but w/ a higher emotional payout which makes it Higher #dance is……. high payout less soul bearing easy to get lost in so u don’t feel as exposed even if u are #photography is easiest to me bc it’s like. i didn’t make smth beautiful i’m showing u smth beautiful that already exists #but it can easily creep up on u as being soul bearing if u start taking pictures of things u love most #i want to share everything i’ve ever made and i want no one to look at it #so i end up making jewellery for ppl a lot. lowest soul bearing level. but the ppl i make them for never take them off #and i cook for ppl a lot. and i sew and knit and felt and take pictures but No One irl is allowed to read my writing
