Our friend Smiley under the lights of the shop welcomes you to our East End neighborhood. He’s an aspiring music artist, you can find him @smiley_bands on YouTube and his latest song is our favorite so far. He’s one of the many neighbors we have befriended here and we’re grateful for their welcome. In turn, we help support them and one way we do is by hosting the monthly William Wells Brown Neighborhood Association meetings. These meetings are held every third Thursday of the month upstairs at Martine’s. The next one is tomorrow, Thursday January 19, from 6 pm to 7 pm. They’re open to all, come if you’re a neighbor, come if you want to know the neighbors, come to help us keep the East End ever flourishing. In appreciation of Smiley’s and the WWBNA’s support for the East End and Martine’s, a portion of tomorrow’s sales will go towards our ongoing Pay it Forward to help feed the East End Children.
