My sketch for the sparkling pear cider soap in summer 2018! If you’ve noticed, at some point I stopped coloring my sketches and just started trying to make a bunch of detailed color notations. This is because the micas I use don’t cross with my colored pencils. They’re unlikely to be exact, so why not embrace that and let the micas drive their own colors? The bitter orange cranberry cupcake bath bomb from autumn 2018 is today’s sketch! I have to say, I’m kind of sad I didn’t color this one. The base ended up a beautiful light pink-red while the top was orange creamsicle with a bright orange slice in the top.
