Today is my birthday and also release day! I wrote the song ”Nyll” for my dad who has Alzheimer’s disease. I guess it’s my way of saying thanks and I love you. Dad’s nickname is ”Nyll”. He was a big fan of western movies so that’s why I decided to have the beat of the song be horses running instead of drums. Dad got into boxing at a young age and later became a soccer coach. The names I sing in the chorus are teams he was training back in the days (Solberga, Anneberg and Nässjö). Bäckafall is the place where mom and dad has their summer cabin (It’s also one of my favorite places in the world). If you listen closely at 1:44 in the song you can hear my dad singing and impersonating Cornelis Vreeswijk one Midsummer Eve in Bäckafall. Swipe for pics. Link in bio.
