🌸YUKIMURA CHARACTER/ROUTE/EVENTS SPAM!!🌸:
Lately I’ve done a lot of spams that I hope people have liked. I’ve done a spam on a lot of shadow routes but also 2/3 of the top rated Slbp rated characters.
(Saizo✅ and Masamune✅)
(I combined Saizo’s with his little brother, both different summaries ofc)
So I guess it’s time to include Yukimura in a spam? Here’s my collection of photos of him and lengthy opinions as always. Like a lot of words ahead
Tumblr media
Our lovely Donut lover. I actually like donuts a lot and this is something we have in common so like +500 for you
Tumblr media
The Sanada brothers are so amazing and adorable haha. Nobuyuki was actually in an event recently, idk what to think yet but he’s hilarious in the routes/events. Yukimura has a really fun and unproblematic family so it’s always refreshing 😂 (totally not hinting at Saizo and mainly Masamune)
Tumblr media
Our so called shy boy seems to know what he’s doing hey?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
☝🏼these screenshots were right next to a picture of my husbands (like my real life one) sleeping face and idek why but it was hilarious.
Did you read the claim me at last epilogue or remember it? If you want more screenshots of it let me know 😂it’s a will do
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I always like including these type of pictures, considering giving a girl a hairpin or Kanzashi, often were signs of marital status, class, etc. But right here samurai give their women hairpins as in a marriage proposal, correct me if I’m wrong though
Tumblr media
So before we begin: I tried my best with this review, for some reason writing this review had me on like 100 with being hyper. I also asked a friend to assist me since it’s been awhile since I’ve done Yukimura’s
Route summary as always kinda spoilers:
Remember how I said Masamune’s route gave me my virginity back? Yeah Yukimura’s is full on cavity sugar filled rom-com with the dark military drama
He’s kinda like a “I SHALL GIVE MY LIFE FOR MY CLAN AND MILORD SHINGEN! 😈” but mixed with a “😳🥺”
Sanada Yukimura , The Sword of Japan. One of the Sanada Ten Braves and second son of the Sanada clan
favorite food consist of donuts🍩
His weakness: women
So basically as most light routes go:
you get sent off as a poison tester in place of your younger brother Yahiko. Disguised as Yahiko you arrive to Shingen’s castle with a big pat on the back.
No really Yukimura was quick to welcome you into the ranks of men. Gotta be with the bros right? He’s so cheery about it too, like he’s so pumped up about MC being there that his retainer even had a: “I didn’t know you were doing that kind of recruiting” statement
I’d also like to add, Yukimura and Masamune visit each other’s routes quite often 😂
(tbf the only reason Masamune found out MC was a girl was because he pulled out his sword on Masamune and it cut her. SO THANKS YUKI!)
This was from a recent event story 👇🏼
Tumblr media
Anyways, as Yuki starts to experience confusing attractions to MC (his whole experience with this is fucking hilarious)
But bam all of a sudden Yukimura finds out the MC is actually a woman because silly MC ups and slips off the roof one lovely evening and by accident he touches her chest while grabbing her. He puts two and two together then realizes, “oh shit” she was a girl.
He’s so horrified from having done this to her that he later swears to protect her and help keep her identity a secret. (He’s so cute isn’t he 😂)
Long story short, this fails because Saizo figures it all out (ofc he did lmfao) tells Shingen
she almost died
Spoiler: After Saizo and Shingen engage in a conversation about this, they concluded that MC might be a spy for the Oda. So they ordered her to be beheaded (ouch)
and then Yukimura is like
“WAIT SHES MY WIFE!”
then next thing you know they’re on their way to meet the Sanada fam.
So although there is the cute, happy parts, you’ve gotta expect the sadness ahead.
Tumblr media
So one thing, as always the parents in this game aren’t always angelic..or alive.. haha sorry
Yuki’s dad well his dad’s expectations for Yuki is to die in battle basically. So that’s pretty interesting to look for in this route. Especially because MC’s father died giving his life up to war.
MC is pretty badass in this one too, she’s got her risky battles and their hard challenges.
MC is awesome because yk she’s not gonna just let this guy go and kill himself.
So she does something special
Spoiler:
She gave her dads hairpin to him before battle so as a promised he’ll live to return it for her.
To conclude:
MC: 9.5/10
Funny and cheesy vigin 101: 10/10
Sadness and angst: 7.8/10
Hot and bothered: just wait for the claim me at last event
Anyways Yuki is really fun and events don’t do him justice with his goofiness. I’d say it’s definitely worth it. Saizo and Yuki are definitely a good pair to do
Hell finish off the family and do Nobuyuki and Shingen next if you haven’t done it 😂
If you haven’t done Shingen’s yet: Beware, his is literally so smutt filled 🌝
Any questions or want recommendations just comment below.
Want me to do another character that I haven’t done?
(Someone actually asked about the top three the other day @gay-noodle-clan thanks for the idea 🥰)
-Raaven
-(Thanks Phebe for the help with this!)
Oh yeah I wrote this at 1:20am exactly for no specific reason.. it’s currently 9:20am and I’ve edited this so if you saw this before the edit..I’m sorry you had to see the hyper
Shadow routes I’ve reviewed:
Naraukami Kyoichiro
Kirigakure Hotaru
Mitsuba Kaede/Sogo
Routes I’m currently doing: Fujibayashi Genya
Routes I’m doing next: Fujibayashi Sakuya
My Favorite routes:
Hotaru and Kyoichiro (they are the best pair to do in the shadow routes)

New NPC from the current Tenka story event. Yuri (?) something something nosuke. Lol. He’s one of the Sanada Ten Braves. Is Voltage intending to show us everybody in the Ten Braves at some point? I would love to see all of them together. That would be so awesome.
When new guy saw Yukimura and did a flying hug at him, MC went “?!?!!”. She must have thought he was a woman but she thought it was strange that Yukimura didn’t turn red. Yukimura admonished the new guy because he didn’t want MC to misunderstand him. New guy went “Oooooooh. She’s the wife??” He does looks pretty enough to pull off as a woman, just like a certain ninja ✰. Apparently MC recalled his name was mentioned by another new-ish Ten Braves (that bearded guy - Juzo?) which happened in a different story event. (For SLBP, I think it just happened very recently in a story event? - the one with Yukimura in it).
New guy is rather young (looking) though?

I'm back babey! This is it folks. Tomorrow's the day Ikemen Sengoku's Sasuke aka the love of my life gets his EN route. To celebrate, I wanted to look into the OG Sasuke. The mans our mans was named after.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In honor of this momentus route release and reaching 200 followers I will delve deep into the lore of the man, the myth, the legend: Sarutobi Sasuke.
Tumblr media
The Sanada Ten Braves, aka juyushi (真田十勇士) or Ten Heroes of Sanada, are as you probably know after playing ikesen long enough a legendary group of ninjas that served Sanada Yukimura and were led by Sasuke. As for their names ya got...
Sarutobi Sasuke (猿飛佐助)
Kirigakure Saizo (霧隠才蔵)
Miyoshi Seikai (三好清海)
Miyoshi Isa (三好伊三)
Anayama Kousuke (穴山小助)
Unno Rokuro (海野六郎)
Kakei Juzo (筧十蔵)
Nezu Jinpaichi (根津甚八)
Mochizuki Rokuro (望月六郎)
Aaaaaaaand
Yuri Kamanosuke (由利鎌之助)
The story of the Sanada Ten Braves was first recorded in Tatsukawa Bunko (立川文庫), a series of children's books written during the Taisho period (大正時代, 1912-26). The stories that made up Tatsukawa Bunko were made up by professional storyteller Gyokushusai Tamada (玉秀斎玉田).
Tumblr media
So anyways, when you get down to it the OG Sasuke's character was thought to be a fusion of historical and fictional accounts of Ninja and the literary hero from Journey to The West, Sun Wukong: the monkey king. HOWEVER, recently there had been a lot more room for doubt that Sun Wukong was chosen as a model for Sasuke. There's also various other theories about real-life figures that could've been an inspiration. Ya got ninjas like Kozui Sasuke (上月佐助): master of Iga ninjutsu, Sarutobi Nisuke (猿飛仁助), or Mikumo Sasuke (三雲佐助) who was an extant Koga-ninja (甲賀忍者) who worked under the Toyotomi family if you've read Sasuke's JP route or spoilers for it then you're probably also freaking about this little easter egg.
The original Sasuke wasn't a whole lot like our ikesen Sasuke. He fit the general genki stereotype character with some mischief thrown in there to keep things interesting, and was an anti-hero who used his powers for good. Said powers were crazy Naruto-style jutsu.
So here's how things went down for Sasuke:
Deep in the mountains of Shinano (信濃) (now Nagano prefecture) born and raised, playing with monkeys (I mean it suits him, sarutobi literally means monkey jump) is how he spend most of his days (also probably where he got his "monkey-like agility"). Then one day he comes across a mysterious ninja master of Koga ninjutsu (甲賀忍術), allegedly while he was practice sparring with a tree, who laughs at his tree fighting and agrees to teach him some mad ninja skillz. Later he meets a theif who knows ninjutsu: Kirigakure Saizo. Honestly, this Saizo is a lot like his slbp counterpart. A sharp contrast to this Sasuke, who's basically just your average shonen protagonist. Obviously, they gotta become rivals. They battle it out and Sasuke ends up winning. After that the two of them join Yukimura's ninja avengers (the Braves). Seriously. Yuki is the Nick Fury to their avengers. They all have Naruto-esque superpowers. Eventually they fought for the Toyotomi army against Ieyasu at the siege of Osaka, only to lose. What happened to Sasuke and the Braves? Their fates were never revealed. What a shitty ending. But fear not! There's an alternate ending!... In which Sasuke gets his foot caught in a bear trap while trying to infiltrate Ieyasu's stronghold. Then he...... Realizes he couldn't complete his mission and he.... Kills himself. No happy ending here I guess, only ones that remind me of that one lyric from actual cannibal Shia LaBeouf.
Tumblr media
THIS DUDE. Has SO MUCH SHIT NAMED AFTER HIM. AND HE AIN'T EVEN REAL.
Tatsukawa Bunko began a ninja boom in Japanese pop culture. The forerunner of this was the character who would become synonymous with ninja: Sasuke. You've got...
Smol 80s Steven Universe Sasuke
Tumblr media
Yu-Gi-Oh card robo-Sasuke
Tumblr media
Mitsuhide-lookin Sasuke
Tumblr media
The OG wipeout style game show was LITERALLY CALLED SASUKE
Tumblr media
He is everywhere. There is no escape.
Disclaimer: I am not a historian, my japanese skills are mediocre at best, and I don't have access to like actual archives or anything. Pls correct me if anything I said here was wrong.

Aaaaand Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you the latest HOT UNPLAYABLE CHARACTER IN TENKA/SLBP UNIVERSE
Tumblr media
NEZU JINPACHI!
Nobuyuki’s personal ninja and one of the Sanada ten braves!
Tumblr media
God he’s hawt, he’s stoic and I’m like 7 chapters in and he has only made 3 facial expressions, hahahahah, he’s a bit like Kansuke in that way…
Tumblr media
in Nobuyuki’s MS, upon finding out the reason MC disguised herself as a man and went to become a poison taster because of the Magistrate, Nobuyuki sent Jinpachi to take care of him to Kyoto.
MC later thanked him profusely and brought him a mame daifuku (bean daifuku). He demurred, saying that it was the house of Sanada that sent him. MC still insisted to thank him, and he finally conceded and picked the daifuku and HE ATE IT IN ONE BITE.
Tumblr media
YO, daifuku is rather large yeah. And while doing this, MC narrated that he didn’t change his expression, so straight face with bulging cheek while chewing, OMG I LIKE HIM SO MUCH ALREADY, MOAAARR PLEASE.
Tumblr media
Then before he disappeared he told her, “Your mum and little brother are well.” MC watched him vanish while thinking he might be stoic but Jinpachi-san is a kind person.

Hello Amalthea! May I ask, what's the difference between SLBP and Ikesen? Which do you like the most?
Hello, lovely!
There are a lot of differences, so let’s start with a super quick (spoiler free) look at the characters!
Tumblr media
IkeSen Nobunaga
breaks the switch off of deredere mode
undercover nerd
open-minded
straightforward
afraid to sleep alone
can hold his liquor
red eyes
SLBP Nobunaga
ultra tsundere, kamidere (god complex)
tantrum thrower
loves to climb trees
won’t hesitate to kill anyone, even children
supreme lightweight when it comes to alcohol
gray eyes
Both loves sweets to obsession, with IkeSen Nobu sneaking through the halls, in the night to pilfer them from wherever Hideyoshi’s hidden them.
SLBP Nobunaga freebases castella cake and konpeito on the regular.
They are each very flirtatious with their MC, and have an inexhaustible trust in their allies.
Tumblr media
IkeSen Mitsuhide
cunning
loves to tease
gets reincarnated as Okita (DtL), and then again as Sid (MidCin)
Ageusia (no sense of taste)
snarky
self-denial
highly observant
wizard
yellow eyes
SLBP Mitsuhide
deredere, extra hard masochist
ALL HAIL NOBUNAGA-SAMA
hopeless romantic
beast mode: activated
rigidly devoted to Nobunaga
out-of-the-closet cat lady lord
IkeSen Mitsuhide likes to tease Chatelaine because he thinks that that is the highest level he’ll ever be afforded in terms of love, while SLBP Mitsuhide utilizes his talent as a poet to grab her attention.
Tumblr media
IkeSen Ieyasu
kuudere, yandere, deredere
brother-like relationship with Nobunaga
has a pet deer
gets along well with fellow lords and retainers
will only eat heavily spiced foods
frequently commands the absolute smallest group of men possible
SLBP Ieyasu
tsundere extraordinaire, deredere, dandere
kisses up to Nobunaga
has a pet masochist
demi-sexual
before MC, frequently forced to give in to demands from retainers
will eat anything as long as his MC makes it
will twerk for strawberry daifuku
realistically commands one of the largest armies in Japan, at the time
SLBP Ieyasu utilizes the skills of his Four Heavenly Kings/Guardians, but they do not show up in IkeSen.
Each Ieyasu is resistant to saying what is really on their mind, a product of their forced captivity during childhood.
They each have a complicated relationship with Nobunaga, but both are loyal to their alliance with him.
SLBP Ieyasu is not particularly fond of animals, and IkeSen Ieyasu appears to only like his deer, Wasabi, although he will tend to other animals if he’s asked.
Both have PTSD, and both show a dislike of Mitsunari, but for different reasons: IkeSen Yasu doesn’t like Mitsunari because he is skillful at just about anything, without much effort, but wastes his talents.
SLBP Yasu doesn’t like how similar Mitsunari is to himself, with Mitsunari feeling the same way– he sees too much of himself in Ieyasu.
Tumblr media
IkeSen Mitsunari
genki, dandere
ALL HAIL IEYASU-SAMA
if it has nothing to do with military tactics, government policies, Chatelaine, or Ieyasu then lol wtf is the point of even paying attention??
wears glasses
obtuse
loves to multitask
hard-working, to the point of obliviousness
SLBP Mitsunari
super tsundere, dandere
ALL HAIL HIDEYOSHI-SAMA
can only stand Ieyasu if he is literally standing on his throat
will twerk for manju
distrusting
demi-sexual
kinkier than he ever thought possible
as straightforward as a spiral
teaches children for free, in his off-hours
hard-working and diligent
Both Mitsunari’s have a mole under one eye, only theirs are mirrored.
IkeSen Mitsunari is consistently described as “angelic,” while SLBP Mitsunari summons hell fire if anyone says something even slightly negative about Hideyoshi.
Each Mitsunari is a scholar. SLBP Mitsunari is far more self-sufficient.
Both are strategists under the service of Hideyoshi, but while IkeSen Mitsunari is Ieyasu’s number one fan, SLBP Mitsunari and his Ieyasu equivalent are always at each other’s throats with knives
Tumblr media
IkeSen Hideyoshi
invented deredere
berserker
nanny
ALL HAIL NOBUNAGA-SAMA
the IkeSen mashup of SLBP Toshiie, SLBP Mitsuhide, and SLBP Katsuie
SLBP Hideyoshi
silver-tongued negotiator
considerate
PTSD
rivalry with Toshiie
had 1,000 lovers
Tumblr media
IkeSen Masamune
genki
battle-crazy
super confident
high energy
what even is “personal space?”
gets along well with all of his retainers
initially very casual about romance and sex
alcohol knocks him right out
only has one eye
SLBP Masamune
yandere, kuudere, dandere
passive-aggressive
quick to give up, but impressionable
Human Eeyore #1
hand fetish
hates women
demi-sexual
retainers keep trying to kill him
if he’s not careful, Yukimura will knock him right out
blue/green heterochromia
context-sensitive blindness in his blue eye
Both Masamunes have PTSD, and both are good cooks who are super tight with their inner circle.
IkeSen Masamune comes to you pre-loaded with experience, but you take SLBP Masamune’s olive cherry.
In SLBP, you get to see his family, which include his mother, uncle, one of his brothers, and his cousin related to him on both sides, Shigezane.
In certain events, Shigezane is also a date-able character.
Maeda Toshiie (Inuchiyo):
Tumblr media
Currently, there is no IkeSen equivalent of the real-life Maeda Toshiie, who was quite wealthy, as the third largest land owner of his time (Ieyasu was the second largest).
Toshiie is one of Nobunaga’s generals, and the leader of Nobunaga’s Red Cloaks. He is a berserker in battle, and also the MC’s childhood friend.
Like IkeSen’s Hideyoshi, he’s ready to put aside his siscon ways.
Tumblr media
IkeSen Yukimura
tsundere I guess
says “dummy” more than that green alien from The Flintstones
short fuse
lies, but gets mad if you lie to him
smartass
SLBP Yukimura
insane training schedule
genki, dandere
beast mode: perma-lock
self-imposed mother complex
kind and considerate
obtuse
Tumblr media
IkeSen Kojuro: ancillary character, with no sprite, who shows up on occasion
SLBP Kojuro: rigidly devoted to Masamune, as one of the many Katakura “Kojuro” who have served the Date clan for generations.
Teaches his MC self defense and how to sword fight, encourages and supports her to fulfill her duties as a page and bodyguard of Masamune.
Zero house-training. Well-rounded scholar and poet. Plays the flute, names anything Bontenmaru, Masamune’s original name.
Tumblr media
IkeSen Sasuke
genki, dandere
bisexual
time lord
ninja with experience
works for Kenshin
SLBP Sasuke
genki
ninja-in-training
highly observant
smarter than other children his age
One of the Sanada Ten Braves, working for Yukimura
Both Sasukes fight dirty, when needed, with IkeSen Sasuke employing the use of chloroform, caltrops, and smoke bombs, and SLBP Sasuke’s endless supply of shuriken and attacking from the air with his owl, Momofuku.
Tumblr media
IkeSen Shingen
smoother than glass
considerate
sweet tooth
SLBP Shingen
genki
father complex
bisexual
aggressively stubborn
horse enthusiast
super casual about sex
Tumblr media
IkeSen Kenshin
deredere
blue/green heterochromia
likes fighting more than Goku
loves pickled plums
impatient
prone to ennui
hates women
honestly believes that he cannot die
SLBP Kenshin
pansexual
does he even eat solids?
irresponsible
hoarder
suicidal
Both Kenshins are yanderes, but IkeSen Kenshin acts on his more, while SLBP Kenshin talks about it, but then turns it into a joke, to throw his MC off.
They each like to sneak away from their castles to wander through town. IkeSen Kenshin likes rabbits, while SLBP Kenshin is fond of swallows, which appear on both of their clan crests.
Ninja:
Tumblr media
Saizō
kuudere, tsundere
ALL HAIL DANGO
pansexual or bisexual (context)
PTSD
mistakenly believes that he’s repressed his brocon ways
works for Yukimura as one of the Sanada Ten Braves
Kotarō
dandere, deredere, sadodere (non-romantic, only to Saizō)
ALL HAIL SAIZŌ
demi-sexual
PTSD
Human Eeyore #2
prone to debilitating headaches
loves flowers
master of infiltration
works for the Hojo
Hanzo
dandere
ALL HAIL DAYS OFF
self-denial
sadist
sometimes hoists his own petard
exasperated whenever he has to deal withSaizō
works for the Tokugawa
Heterochromia is featured in both games, with IkeSen Kenshin and SLBP Masamune having the same colored eyes, but in mirrored positions:
Tumblr media
IkeSen tends to drop little hints about historic battles, and sometimes there is even a reference or two thrown in, in events, but no meaningful context given.
This allows the joke to fly over the heads of readers who haven’t read much about, or may have forgotten, the achievements of the Sengoku-era samurai.
Example:
Tumblr media
Chatelaine is referring to the Battle of Sekigahara in which Mitsunari was executed for going against the Tokugawa.
His head was cut off and put on a pike. Sasuke, who is an Ieyasu fanboy, would react with no enthusiasm, seen above, when seeing Mitsunari, who betrayed his idol.
In SLBP, you are often along for the ride during important battles and skirmishes, and the Diary will fill you in on tidbits of the time, to help you keep up, but it doesn’t hammer history down your throat.
There is no way to earn free currency in IkeSen, but in SLBP, you can earn pearls to buy epilogues, special stories, attire, or closet and castle space, all for free, with no daily limit.
It is much easier to play for free in SLBP than in IkeSen, where you have to scrounge around for closet space and stamina items.
Earning the pearls is random, but having lots of coins to use in the Lottery increases your chances, and so does visiting your allies each day. You can also win pearls as prizes in events.
Energy replenishes every four hours in IkeSen, and every five hours in SLBP.
IkeSen has a monthly log-in card, while SLBP gives you one for the first month of you joining the game.
The frequency of smut is higher in SLBP, with all characters having steamy side stories, whereas in IkeSen, the smut is usually relegated to certain characters.
In IkeSen, much of the comedy comes from Chatelaine, and in SLBP it comes from frequently appearing side characters.
You get five free tickets to read the main story, in both games. In each game, there are events where reading the main story will give you free attire.
Each game has collection and story events. In SLBP, your lord is in your castle just like in IkeSen, but he has speech bubbles that you can read. There is currently no voice acting in English SLBP, but you can hear the character voices by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking their pictures.
There is no time travel in SLBP– you’re born in that era. You work at your family’s restaurant, before joining your lord at his castle.
The MC in SLBP is not as world-wise as the one in IkeSen, and as such, is MidCin Princess-levels of flustered when it comes to romance.
The MC that is most like Chatelaine, to me, is Kojuro’s MC who learns to fight and fend for herself. She isn’t a push over, like some of the other avatars.
You may also like Mitsunari’s, Ieyasu’s, Yukimura’s, and Saizō’s MCs.
I really like both games. They fulfill different purposes, focus on different aspects, and each have their own place as far as entertainment value goes.
Try it out for yourself, if you like! If you do, I hope that you enjoy it!

Let’s explore!: Nobuyuki
Humans have more than six senses, but humor me for a second, corner-buddy.
You know your “sixth” sense, that little nagging feeling like there’s more to a situation or a person than meets the eye?
The one that’s all ‘there’s got to be something else going on with Nobuyuki, and even if there isn’t, I will ride that ikemen all the way into the sunset?’
That sense.
Well congrats, you’re right. He’s yandere AF!
Tumblr media
If you’ve been observant, you’ll know that he’s not the only yandere in the game.
Joining the likes of Kenshin, and Masamune, he’s in good company when it comes to sharing some of the SLBP characters’ more manipulative and possessive tendencies.
However, Nobuyuki outclasses those two on ambition alone, as he coerces you into marrying him at the end of his event.
So now that you’ve become Lady Sanada, let’s take a look at his Draughts of Starlight epilogue!
*Side note
Nobuyuki does in fact get you drunk on purpose in order to facilitate you thinking, incorrectly, that you’ve not only slept with him the night before, but that you may also be pregnant, all so he can marry you.
The tone of this epilogue is in no way the same as Ieyasu’s, which I covered here. I had gotten questions about Nobuyuki’s event route and epilogue, so I hope this helps. Not everyone likes yanderes, some people appreciate a heads up, others are just curious. Whatever it is, I hope you find this review helpful.
We open with Nobuyuki inspiring the Power Puff Girls as he tells us the ingredients needed for the perfect bride:
Tumblr media
Sugar, spice, and duct tape
He flashes back to when you declared that you’re not looking to be saved by anyone. Instead, you want to save your family with your own strength.
You didn’t realize it at the time, but you flipped tf out of his switch.
In fact, you’re now elevated to the highest category of mate, in his eyes, surpassing every eligible match he’s had so far, in all areas but one:
Tumblr media
But Nobuyuki is willing to overlook your lowborn peasant upbringing, in order to make you his.
Remember this scene, after Yahiko tells you that he heard a rumor that Nobuyuki was skipping town this evening?:
Tumblr media
You ask him what he said, but Nobuyuki brushes off your question with a careful sidestep.
Turns out, he was evaluating just how quickly you’d come running to him, after his kicked puppy act, when you rejected his offer of marriage and he walked out of the restaurant, some days before.
The origin of the rumor was Nobuyuki himself:
Tumblr media
Just a regular evening of talking to oneself and burning documents, as one does. You know, the yooj.
Nobuyuki, probably: “And by ‘metaphorically speaking,’ I mean ‘bitch, you thought!’”:
Tumblr media
The magistrate had better run like Sonic.
Tumblr media
Man Bun-san Nobuyuki’s father is confused when his son comes back to the castle with an unknown bride in tow:
Tumblr media
Yandere-kun says that it takes awhile to get from Kyoto to his home. A journey of several days. In all this time, not once has he said “hey, you know what we didn’t do? Fuck!”
The whole epilogue you’re never told the truth about anything. In fact, you barely speak. While all four epilogues are in the suitor’s pov, you hardly have any lines in Nobuyuki’s. And you’re dissatisfied for almost all of it.
But anyyoumighthavebeenbetteroffwiththemagistrate, you blush upon being complimented, which prompts Yukimura to become twitterpated:
Tumblr media
Yukimura had better watch his ass! Nobuyuki seems like the type to grab the nearest bible-toting Portuguese missionary just to make them read from Genesis 4.
Saizo, meanwhile, tries to subtly clue Yukkin in to the fact that his brother will murderlate him good if he doesn’t stop staring lustfully at his bride:
Tumblr media
He knows what’s up! he’s probably helped Nobuyandere hide a few bodies
Let’s stop here and discuss both Sanada bros, really quickly.
Nobuyuki is clearly all the way into yandere territory, but he’s not the only one that has some issues. You’ve got two different children, of two different ages, who have very obviously been brought up to believe certain things.
That doesn’t mean that it’s not their fault that they behave in a particular way, but there is clearly a common denominator:
Tumblr media
Both Sanada brothers reveal that the way they view the world, and the way they view women in particular, comes from one source: their father.
Although we learn that Yukimura’s views on women come from his own internalized feelings of being the “cause” of his mother’s death, we know that he knows that he actually had nothing to do with her death at all.
But where did he hear about it? His father, who lets he go right on believing it even into adulthood.
Nobuyuki is looking for a woman with a particular set of skills in order to be his bride. Where did he hear that from? His father.
Yukimura himself won’t take “no” for an answer, when he absolutely insists, for much of his route, that you marry him for you own good. Certainly, there is a solution to you not being outed as a spy to the Takeda: go home.
Especially since you were never a spy in the first place!
Yukimura insisting that marrying you was the “only way” could have been dealt with like an ephemeral Vegas wedding. Marry you and divorce you almost immediately, much like Nobunaga did, and return you to your home.
Instead, both Sanada brothers are intent on keeping your around and lineage is the core reasoning for both of them: Nobuyuki to carry on the bloodline, and Yukimura to uphold the standard of the Sanada clan-- which never goes back on its word.
And where did they learn all of this from? Their father.
Throughout the epilogue, we see Jinpachi, one of the Sanada Ten Braves. Nobuyuki gives him varies orders relating to you.
For instance, we learn that he is the one who was tasked with keeping an eye on you, to prevent you from leaving:
Tumblr media
Throughout the event story and in the epilogue as well, Nobuyuki is overly concerned with you escaping his grasp somehow.
He makes several trips to the magistrate to keep him at bay so that you don’t feel pressured and run off with him. He has Jinpachi lurking in the background watching you daily, he purposefully spreads rumors so that you will come looking for him, and he has Jinpachi shadow you again after you become his bride so that you don’t try to go back to Kyoto unnoticed.
In the midst of him doing these over-the-top things, Nobuyuki is concerned about something:
Tumblr media
See, he’s fallen into the same trap like Nobunaga and Ieyasu: unwanted gifts. If you’ve read Toshiie’s route, you’ve probably come the Omiai diary entry, narrated by Yukimura, of all derps, that talks about how those who go to war don’t have time to go out and meet women.
It’s no wonder that they don’t really know how to act. You’re not the type to be impressed by exquisite kimono and fancy restaurants right off the bat, like what has clearly been suggested to them by others.
And what’s the first thing Nobuyuki does to curry favor?:
Tumblr media
Genius!
Spotting you out in the garden, he stealthily guides you into revealing your interests by surreptitiously playing on your roles as the older siblings, getting you to drop your guard.
You tell him about how you used to argue with Yahiko about what to put on the menu, and mention that burdock roots are coming into season:
Tumblr media
Just run.
Later that evening, Nobuyuki calls Jinpachi again, and asks him to gather 100 burdock roots or else face Frieza’s wrath. Or something:
Tumblr media
See, while Nobuyuki has no intention of ever letting you leave, he does want to take care of you. For a regular person, that would make no sense-- if he cared about you, he wouldn’t want to keep you against your will, but to a yandere they are one in the same.
*important side note: if you find yourself in a situation like that in real life, lace tf out of your track shoes and get the hell out of there! No, it will not get better.
It is precisely because he is a yandere that Nobuyuki comes to this erroneous conclusion:
Tumblr media
Here, the story got on my nerves a little bit:
Tumblr media
You have one note. You love cooking and seeing people’s reactions to your food. Girl, broaden your horizons! Do something else-- anything else for once!
You don’t know that he’s thinking this, but you inadvertently confirm his crazy suspicion that you “love cooking better than anything else,” by predictably enthusing about some plants and spices, thereby solidifying that his assumptions about you are correct when they’re not!
Not that it’s your fault, since you can’t have known, but it does give us some insight into how Nobuyuki thinks, which is abnormal:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We end with Nobuyuki feeling very pleased with himself, and you still being non-the-wise that you’ve been had:
Tumblr media
Over all, I didn’t think it was bad. Like Mitsunari and Ieyasu’s epilogues, I expected some humor, but there’s really none to be had.
At first glance, it appears that Saizo is making a joke at Yukimura’s expense, but when you look at it again, Saizo is actually warning his friend, because he cares about him, not to mess with his brother’s woman.
From reading Yukimura’s route, I had already suspected Nobuyuki to have something else going on with his character, so I wasn’t at all surprised that he turned out to be a canon yandere. Particularly since he’s open before about not letting his woman get away from him.

One of the other blogs here told me that Cybird's game Ikémen sengoku has the same characters/same era as slbp, so I was wondering if you had any brief historical info for a young pleb such as myself 👀
Cybird’s Ikemen Sengoku has a similar premise to their game Destined to Love: you’re out somewhere minding your business and then you mysteriously do the time warp again.
The starting point of the Sengoku period can vary depending on who you’re talking to, but for most it’s 1467 when the Onin war (1467-1477) broke out over who would be next in line after shogun Ashikaga Yoshimasa. And for others, it’s 1490, the year Hosokawa Katsumoto, a deputy of the shogun, snatched up power.
At this point, the samurai have long since stepped in to keep order. The introduction of the first Europeans to arrive in Japan, the Portuguese, changed how battles were fought. In particular, was how clans Oda and Tokugawa combined forces, using their European arquebuses to decimate the Takeda by staggering reload and firing times. In no time at all, Japanese smiths were able to reproduce the mechanism in the muskets and manufactured similar firearms.
The Portuguese also traded goods from China with the Japanese, such as silk, porcelain, soap and tobacco, among other things, which was forbidden by the emperor due to the many attacks by pirates. This was called the Nanban trade.
By the way, the Portuguese slave trade also extended to Japan, with the Portuguese purchasing slaves and sending them to other nations including Portugal. Large amounts of Japanese women, and girls as well, were purchased for sex and sold as slaves.
Toyotomi Hideyoshi was livid with this practice, wanted the enslavement of his people to end. He wanted the slaves who were sold to be returned, and wrote a letter to Gaspar Coelho, a Portuguese missionary and leader of the Christian contingent in Japan. Hideyoshi had him scared up in the middle of the night to answer for it. Hideyoshi made it clear that Coelho and the others were to get out of Japan.
Unfortunately, it didn’t end there, and there is so much going on around this time, so instead let’s go to the men of Cybird’s Ikemen Sengoku:

Click here for eargasm. I have no idea what Nobunaga and Mitsuhide said, but they can say it again and again.
There are three men who are considered to have unified Japan. They are, in order: Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu.
Before his death in 1582, Nobunaga was able to conquer a third of the daimyō. In 1590, Hideyoshi unified all of Japan and became its first leader. And in 1603, Ieyasu set himself up as shogun, founding the Tokugawa shogunate
A famous idiom is “Nobunaga pounds the national rice cake, Hideyoshi kneads it, and in the end Ieyasu sits down and eats it.”

Oda Nobunaga was the second son of Oda Nobuhide and his legitimate successor, being the oldest legitimate son. He had a penchant for ignoring his societal rank and enjoyed playing with children his age across the social strata.
With the death of his father, the were a power struggle in the Oda clan, which was under Shiba Yoshimune to begin with. When Nobunaga stepped in to rule, his uncle, Oda Nobutomo, had Yoshimune murdered for his support of Nobunaga.
Nobunaga would spend much of his live trying to attain, maintain, and exert military control in his attempt to unify Japan.
He found himself betrayed many times, but it was his trusted ally Akechi Mitsuhide who finally got the drop on him and it is not known if Nobunaga was killed in Akechi Mitsuhide’s ambush or if Nobunaga committed seppuku. This was known as the Honnō-ji incident.
Tokugawa Ieyasu spent much of his young life as a hostage of both the Oda and the Imagawa.
Nobuhide proposed killing Ieyasu, who was 5 at the time, if Tokugawa Hirotada, Ieyasu’s father, did not cut ties with the Imagawa clan, but Hirotada refused. Rather than killing Ieyasu, Nobuhide kept him as a hostage of the Oda clan and sent him to Nagoya where he remained in a temple for three years.
With the murder of Hirotada by his own men, and Nobuhide succumbing to an illness, Oda Nobunaga took power. In agreement with Imagawa Sessai, who promised to draw his armies back if he was given Ieyasu, Nobunaga handed the young boy over, thereby making him a hostage yet again. This time Ieyasu was taken to Sunpu where he remained from ages 9-13.
While he did have occasional conflict with the Oda clan, Ieyasu would become one of Oda’s strongest allies.
After becoming shogun, Ieyasu made his power inheritable, and in doing so, established a military government that would last for almost three hundred years.
Cybird’s Destined to Love features his descendant Tokugawa Yoshinobu (Keiki), the last shogun Japan would see.
Below: Takeda Shingen on the left and Uesugi Kenshin on the right

A descendant of the Minamoto clan, Shingen, who was given the name Harunobu at his coming of age ceremony, would be called Minamoto Harunobu in imperial records. He received the dharma name Shingen after the completion of his Buddhist training. The kanji for Shingen can also be pronounced Harunobu, so in a sense, he received the same name twice.
Ashikaga Yoshiharu, the 12th shogun, gave a character from his name to Shingen, which was an honor, and Shingen attained the second one through his own merit.
We don’t know the exact reason why Shingen, the firstborn son, rebelled against his father, but it’s thought that his father, Nobutora, may have wanted to give power to his second son, Nobushige. Nobutora was forced into retirement and sent away to be under the watchful eye of the Imagawa. This formed an alliance between the Imagawa and the Takeda.
Strife in the Takeda clan did not end there, as not only his first cousin, but his own son plotted to take his life.
Shingen’s feud with Kenshin began with Shingen’s attempt to gain control of Shinano. The warlords in the area were already involved in a battle and, making the most of the confusion, Shingen did not have much trouble in winning.
Upon adoption into the Uesugi clan, Nagao Kagetora changed his name several times before becoming known as Uesugi Kenshin. He had control over the Echigo province, which was afforded a better standard of living due to Kenshin’s increasing the growth of local trade.
He believed in Bishamonten, the Buddhist god of war, and was even called his avatar by his followers.
Legend has it that Kenshin burst into Shingen’s war ten on horseback and attacked him. Caught off guard, Shingen successfully parried Kenshin’s sword with his war fan.

Yukimura’s actual name is Nobushige, after Shingen’s younger brother. Historically, he was never referred to as Yukimura. Novels and plays written about him in the Edo period refer to him as Yukimura, though.
Although the Sanada army was small, they succeeded in winning many battle. With the death of his uncles, his father inherited the clan. However, with the destruction of the Takeda clan, the Sanada surrendered to Oda.
After the Honnō-ji incident, the Sanada had no masters, as so tried to find their place serving a number of clans including the Uesugi, Hōjō, and Tokugawa, before becoming vassals of the Toyotomi.
Yukimura himself was known by many colorful names including The Crimson Demon and Number One Warrior in Japan, among others.
Sarutobi Sasuke was not a real person. He is part of the fictional Sanada Ten Braves, who helped Yukimura in battle, in novels written by Sanada Sandaiki.
The fictitious Sanada Ten Braves, are:
Sarutobi Sasuke
Kirigakure Saizo
Miyoshi Seikai
Miyoshi Isa
Anayama Kosuke
Unno Rokuro
Kakei Juzo
Nezu Jinpachi
Mochizuki Rokuro
Yuri Kamanosuke

Upon Nobunaga’s death, Hideyoshi was successful in ending the warring states. Although he rose through the ranks from humble beginnings, he placed restrictions on who could become a samurai after gaining power. The period of his rule is called the Momoyama period and is named after his castle.
He is responsible for the death by crucifixion of twenty-six martyrs, three of whom were young boys.
Ishida Mitsunari, whose childhood name was Sakichi, was a military commander and leader of the bureaucrats under Hideyoshi.

Mitsuhide was the first under Nobunaga to receive a castle. After betraying Nobunaga, Mitsuhide’s rule as shogun lasted only 13 days before his death. He is believed to have been killed, although there is a rumor that he lived out his life as a monk.
Masamune became the leader of his clan at the age of 17 following his father Terumune’s retirement.
Under Hideyoshi, the new ruler, Masamune found the size of his land reduced and even feared execution. He dressed in his finest clothes expecting to die, only to have Hideyoshi say that he may be of some use.
At the behest of Katakura Kojuro, Masamune supported Ieyasu, who in turn, increased the size of Masamune’s land.
A patron of the arts, Masamune founded the city of Sendai. Due to his ambitious and aggressive nature, he was sometimes viewed with suspicion, but he served both Hideyoshi and Ieyasu faithfully.
Below: Kōsa, also known as Hongan-ji Kennyo (or Ken’nyo)
Tumblr media
The Hongan-ji refers to several things. Ken’nyo, as Cybird spells it, was an Abbott who Shingen turned to for aid against his rivals, Oda, Tokugawa and Uesugi.
