Chowder glances at Nursey, who’s broken out into even louder rhapsodies about the night sky and the color of Dex’s eyes, and then back at Dex, who looks tired. “What’s he doing?”

Dex sighs. “Trying to annoy me into making out with him. I told him I was too busy with homework to mess around.”

“Oh.” Chowder looks at Nursey. He hasn’t paused in his recital, but he is now wearing a shit-eating grin. “Is it going to work?”

“No,” Dex snaps.

“Cool,” Chowder says, and ducks out of the room to continue his way to the bathroom.

Five minutes later, when he walks back, there’s a sock on the door handle and some unmistakable noises coming from inside the room. Chowder shudders and hurries to his room to find a pair of headphones.

I love doing these!

Making them a throuple is such an interesting dynamic and I can only assume this is if they go to Avernus together. This means that Astarion either romanced Karlach or Wyll first probably and then their time in Avernus brought them together. I love all the ways this can happen.

Say Wyll and Astarion were together: both of them start to develop romantic feelings for Karlach after a few close calls and both are unsure of how to bring it up (Wyll being VERY monogymous and Astarion being so traumatized that neither thinks the other would be interested). So they both keep it to themselves until one of them breaks and admits it and the other is like "oh thank the gods" and then they get together with Karlach.

Now if Astarion and Karlach are together first: They both catch feelings for Wyll p much immediately because the dude followed them to the Hells. He is absolutely their rock and they both sigh dreamily as they watch him from across the battlefield. Wyll wouldn't consider joining a polycule on his own because he has little framework for romance with it. He probably develops feelings and has no idea what to do with it. Both Astarion and Karlach are capable of being very romantic though and help by making most of the initial moves.

Astarion gets the two most affectionate and unashamedly good lovers ever

Karlach gets two people who would literally follow her to the hells

Wyll gets the two most protective lovers who will never let his kindness get taken advantage of again
