nicknames: I don’t really have any? a couple of people on tumblr call me “maple” and my hetalia fb group friends used to call me “Al” but mostly I just prefer people call me Allison anyway. Not to discourage anyone from trying to make a nickname/use pet names though! That’s fine! As long as that nickname is not any variation of “Allie” because I have bad memories associated with that name.

time right now: as I type this it’s 8:42pm CST (You will notice that this is MUCH earlier than I am posting. I was answering the song question when my roommate walked in to tell me about plans to get my window fixed and it devolved into her talking about a fight she’s having with a friend and it is now 10:20. I am really amused tbh)

last thing i googled: uhhh actually tmi but I was googling pimples in the ear because I used earbuds last week and this ALWAYS HAPPENS and it’s why I prefer headphones

fave music artist: One Direction, Kacey Musgraves, Little Mix, Marren Morris.

song stuck in my head: “Fishin in the Dark” by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (fun fact: I love this song. I didn’t know who sang it until I looked it up for this post). It was on the radio this morning when every other station was playing something I hated and this station saved my life. It’s a cheesy classic from my childhood and I shamelessly love it and modern bro-country can jump off a cliff. 

last movie i watched: I made Brigette watch The Ten Year Plan  with me on Netflix on Valentine’s day. It’s a tropey gay romcom and you should go watch it.

last tv show i watched: Supergirl on Monday night.

the kind of stuff i post: at the moment: Voltron, Yuri on Ice, Star Wars, Check! Please, --or, as I put it to one friend, “Gays on Ice and Hopefully-Gays in Space”-- The Raven Cycle, and sometimes superheroes with some politics and feminism and memes. And 1D. 

do i have other blogs: I have a writing blog that I don’t really update anymore, a “secret” writing blog with two whole posts on it of unfinished bits of fic, my study abroad blog, my “journal” blog I haven’t touched in like three years... and there might be another super-secret sideblog for a fandom I don’t tell anyone I’m in. I haven’t logged into it in like, months. Oops. 

do i get asks regularly: nope

why did i choose my url: It’s an APH Franada reference, which is hilarious because I only like half-ship Franada these days, mostly only in AU fic. But I got it because I used to have a FB roleplay account for APH France, and everyone on FB (except me) had a unique middle name to distinguish their account, and my amazing Canada @crownsandshootingstars used the middle name “maplekiss” so I threw in the rose part for Francis and voila! Now I’m just attached to the way it sounds.

fave colours: Pink and purple. I’ve gotten super into red lately though? Like I keep gravitating to red nail polish and purses and clothes (and paladins)? Even though I claim not to have it as a favorite? And I’m in love with all the yellow at my retail job right now. But yeah pink and purple. 

average hours of sleep: 7-9 depending on what day of the week it is and how lazy I’m being. Sometimes I dont even consider going to bed til after 11 and some days I turn into a pumpkin at 9:30. Teenage me would be laughing at me for those nights right now.

dream job: I don’t really have a dream job in terms of the position I’d like, because I find I prefer the kind of “boring” administrative stuff over like, responsibilities and deadlines. But I would LOVE to do that work in a business/organization that I find stimulating and interesting, like a publisher, newspaper, museum, theater, or non-profit. I love the people I work with now but the industry is... hectic and not in itself very rewarding. 

number of blankets i sleep with: just my comforter. I’m hot-natured but I like to snuggle under the blanket, and I will kick a flat sheet all the way to the foot of the bed in two hours of trying to use it.
