so i gotta know: describe the difference in arabellaβs relationships between bors, tywin, and jorah π
oh my god YES I WOULD LOVE TO.
so, with bors, it was very much a love match. or, at least, they were both under the impression that it was before jon's intentions became more clear. their relationship changed wildly over their years together, going from her being absolutely enamored with him to thinking he was a coward for not doing anything to protect her. she understood his reasoning, but he was still failing to keep her safe and that made her bitterness towards him grow and grow.
with tywin, they were and always would be on entirely different playing fields. there was never any feasible way for aravella to be at tywin's level. instead, she was an indulgence, and he was a risk. but her connection to him gave her a single layer of defense against cersei, so she was grateful for that, even on the occasion that she felt stupid or ridiculous for loving him.
with jorah......... π₯΄π₯΄π₯΄ -- i mean, by the time they meet again (in mereen vs the times they met in passing while he was still in westeros), she is firmly in daenerys's good graces. they are close friends by the time he returns, and while seeing a westerosi woman in her company sets him on edge, there's an immediate attraction between them. it's very will-they-won't-they, but that only lasts for a few weeks before they both decide, with their whole chest, that they definitely will.
with jorah, it's the first time aravella really feels powerful and in love at the same time.
