Okay I rambled a lot so I’m gonna put it under the cut—

(Also there are some spoilers for the series, so if you think you might want to read them, beware!)

OKAY SO BASICALLY!! The premise is that before the events of the story, a prosperous planet called Lorien existed. It was home to the Loric, who were a race of humanoid creature, about half of which developed special powers known as legacies. This half was referred to as the Garde, and the other half was in charge of running the planet and training the Garde; they were known as Cêpan. However!! A planet nearby, called Mogadore, was home to another group of aliens who were less friendly. After depleting their planet of its natural resources, Mogadore launched a surprise attack on Lorien on the night of a huge celebration. To preserve their race, the council of Elders, the rulers, sent nine Loric children (unbeknownst to them, a tenth also escaped) to the nearest life-sustaining planet (Earth)! The Elders used their legacies to place a charm on the children so that they had to be killed in a specific order, which is why they’re represented by numbers. However, this protection would break if they ever met up in person after separating on Earth. The Mogs, wanting to take over Earth and wipe out the Loric for good, follow them in hopes of pursuing their goals. The first book, entitled I Am Number Four, takes place directly after Three is killed by the Mogs, and revolves around Four’s journey.

Eventually, Four through Nine meet up with a few human allies, along with the tenth child (Ella) who was sent from the planet by her family when she was a baby. A whole bunch of stuff goes down—Five turns out to be working with the Mogs (though he regrets this later), Ella turns out to be the granddaughter of the leader of the Mogs (though she hates his guts), romances develop, etc. etc. etc.

By the end of the book, the manage to find a Loric sanctuary on Earth and use it to commune with the spirit of Lorien, which is responsible for allowing the Garde to use legacies. They defeat the Mog leader (not without losses, unfortunately), and though they initially believed they’d return to Lorien after everything, the spirit of Lorien instead merged with Earth so Earth essentially became the new Lorien. As a result, human teenagers started developing legacies.

Nine (my bf!!!) was appointed as the teacher of a newly-established school for humans with legacies! In the wake of the war, (this stuff happens in the next series, Generation One), all sorts of complicated situations arise involving a possibly corrupt agency and the government being wacky and all that sorta fun stuff. It’s an amazing series that I’m absolutely enamored with!!

I’m gonna take a moment to ramble a bit about Nine, too!! He’s super tall (andmuscular,,,) with long black hair. At the end of the series he loses an arm in a fight with Setrakus Ra (the Mog leader), which was replaced by a metal arm. He’s super cocky and flirtatious, and he loves fighting and showing off. He’s also super impulsive and blunt, and I love him to pieces despite the fact that he’s, erm, not the sharpest. :D He has a bunch of legacies, including telekinesis (which all Garde have), antigravity (he can run on any surface), super speed, animal telepathy, and probably some more I’m forgetting. But yee!! That concludes this evening’s ramble about one of my favorite book series!! :D

ok so jhgfdfgh piper is this 19 year old whos also at the hostel the twins end up at and she takes one look at columba and presses x to seduce

columba just goes along with it cause iths lost and confused and doesnt know what to do lkjhgfghjk

this also causes problems with the twins by accident cause theyre really dependant on eachother due to [gestures at everything] and chandra, whos stuck at the hostel due to getting shot in the knee, does Not cope with her sibling constantly leaving to do stuff with this random person they just met kjhgfghjk

anyway the reason piper came to the hostel in the first place is theres a rave happening in town soon and she needed a place to stay to go be there

and she goes hey i like this person xe can come with me!! itll be like a date :)

but uhhhh she doesnt know that columba has been through Shit, she knows somethings up from talking but not whats actually going on

and lets just say it was a bad idea to take someone whos got superpowers and been taught to be a weapon their entire life via very traumatic situations to a rave kjhgffghj

oh fucking?

asmr the execs decided to go grabby hands at all the dinos left on isla nublar but kjhgfghj f to them but the dinos are really feral now

so after trying to capture some unsuccessfully and just get their shit fucked by these guys they say fuck it we can just make new ones

and they basically set up and big like divide so they can free real estate the island without the dinos fighting them and make up a lie saying “oh this part of the island is a nature reserve for the preexisting ecosystem :)” and start trying to make it dino proof

the native (idk what to call them kjhgfghjk) dinos are just [wh] [shrug] about this but hey they dont feel as threatened by people here cause said people arent trying to just Grasp them now

so the park gets ready to unleash these new dinos theyve made and mr wus over here like ok hopefully this time they wont trans their genders 

but f to them cause in attempts to keep things under wraps not only do the new dinos look different but they also got ankle band thing (idk yet) so that none of them can head out as well as keeping a track of their wellbeing

and all the native dinos are just going [iwi] now cause lovely lady with blue colours? AND she has a bracelet?!?

but everyones a idiot capitalist so they just think that the native dinos coming nearby are just being curious and get them to yeet and then open the park

which is fine until several native raptor packs start trying to dig into the park to go press x to seduce and now theres big boy carnivores (idk which cause im idiot and dont really now my dinos that well) vibechecking eachother next to the park to see who gets to press x to seduce

but these guys arent the only problem cause the new dinos ALSO want to join this so now the capitalists are just trying to stop all the dinos being horny while keeping the park open for more Money

and eventually every dino says hey watch this and chaos ensures as guests unfortunately find themselves stuck in the middle of a bunch of horny dinos trying to see who gets sex rights

#this is really hard to explain coherently it turns out #basically f to the capitalists but the dinos are still animals and dont care if they crush someone trying to do a courting dance #aaaaagaronia

originally she was only supposed to kill employees who were going to call out luther for child experimentation but then val escaped 

shes one of the two people (the other being dr gorman) who actually knows all the details about val, but she only got filled in so she could know what to expect

shes also >:( cause if she gets val shes not allowed to kill her and she just wants to do a murder

she almost got arrested for her murders prior to being hired but luther was kind enough to make the evidence go away

i just think shes really fun to write jhgfghjk like shes got really good intentions and doesnt want to cause harm but she also totally misunderstands the situation and ends up hurting pretty much everyone and that really fun to write kjhgfdghjkl

yeah! shes got a really friendly feel to her when you first meet her and that makes alot of people like her

the fact that shes the only religious person in her family jhgfghjk
