sometimes i wonder if my father’s toxic (or possibly even abusive) behavior is only something I notice bc it feels like everyone else in my family never tries to avoid triggering him and his behavior is eye roll inducing at best for them meanwhile he slams his plate down and i feel like running the other way and can’t calm down for the rest of the day

#meows #abuse mention #jic #i could hear him throwing a fit at every little thing with dinner tonight and i was too scared to go set the table bc ik hed explode #but then he also would for me not doing that so! its a lose lose situation #and like my mom kept making things worse by insisting on microwave/oven baked mashed potatoes and then turned around and #ate a microwave bowl of her nasty ''real'' mac and cheese which ofc he threw a fit over #and like i said he kept slamming his plate down and getting pissed off about how the lights were off in our otherwise lit kitchen #and then getting huffy when my mom wanted her dumb meal prayer bc hes always wearing a hat and had to take it off for that #like i swear she just antagonizes him w/o any ATTEMPT at not triggering him and she talks when shes nervous so she just makes things #worse for all of us. oh and i really just wanted to leave but ik hed give me shit for not doing the dishes but my mom was taking her time #bc. ya know. the mac n cheese bs. and my mom was like 'whats wrong you seem upset :/' (thankfully not when my f*ther was in the room) #and when i said 'im trying to hurry to get away from him' she told me to leave the kitchen and she'd take care of the dishes which we KNOW #she wasnt gonna be able to do at all so that left my f*ther doing all of it on top of the other chores he was pissed he had to do #so thanks for nothing once again mom!
