I don't get Carmilla's canon motivations. All-out war might harm her daughters, but the Exterminations themselves already put her family at risk! They nearly died in the last one, but she won't take a stand - and won't even let other demons who also have families and loved ones being killed know how to defend themselves? Ugh. And yet, she gave in so easily when Vaggie asked for her help, so what was the earlier refusal about? Just not trusting other Overlords?

Also telling Vaggie to fight for love when that's what she's been doing the entire time, her Main Motivation is her love for Charlie. Carmilla isn't teaching her anything about love.

#not to hate on a hashtag girlboss when i usually love it when characters have conflicting goals they have to struggle with #but she is just not well written. imo #she's a plot point instead of a character #her canon characterization just doesn't make sense to me. what is she trying to accomplish!! #she calls am Overlord meeting for Something but abandons it the moment she's confronted with her own actions #which is! juicy! like she's still so freaked out about her family almost dying that she stopped the meeting #however. what was the point of the meeting? #and that should really effect her standing with the other Overlords
