#seriously hated that pond for the longest time because the lilies choked everything in it

We have newts!!! NEWTS!!!! For the longest time my family and I have been fighting to make the garden literally anything but a lawn and part of it has been fixing up an overgrown pond that was so overtaken with lilies that you could stand on them and not ever have your feet touch water. Finally after all these years, we have something living in there that isn't mosquito larvae and I am in love.

We have newts. ♡
