Cross examining the ova analysis (a critique of @rirururu)(pt1)

So if you don’t know rirururu I big time komahina shipper has made an analysis that is very popular among the shippers and as you can imagine not so popular for me now I am going to look at the post and critique it now for this post I am going to look at the first segment (spoilers and snark)

I’ve seen the one he’s following up on (trust me it isn’t very good) and university thesis worthy? From the clown whose shipper goggles are so stuck on he claims hajime was mourning from nagito when his reactions indicate shock and disbelief more than loss.get ready folks this is gonna be a fun one!

I kid you not they’re whole analysis is full of this kind of mass exposition

GET TO THE POINT ALREADY!

Accurate for the most part but makes a few mistakes nagito doesn’t act maliciously regularly unless someone gets too close to him or despair is involved(and even then he didn’t act maliciously during his final free time event where he did try to push hajime away) and grew up there? For that to be possible it would mean he had to be in their for about sixteen years or the machine twisted his mind

Twisted definitely but cynical please. Putting the mistaken statement about his bad luck aside I feel that’s reading to much into it because that’s nothing new or something that’s been hidden deep inside nagito is someone who wants to help others we already knew that he wants to help people and that he doesn’t typically expect anything the more Likely interpretation is that in this world his luck is actually helping others and it makes sense considering part of the reason nagito tried to kill the ultimate despair was to bring validation towards his existence

(And one more thing when nagito shows these problems you go aww poor baby he shouldn’t feel like this but when Chiaki does it people like you say “shut up you privileged bitch” I’m annoyed you don’t see the irony here

I wouldn’t say that I mean can’t just helping others be a joy in of itself I mean what are you gonna say people like Superman don’t have a grasp on happiness for living to help others

Well if it was the shock the ultimates shouldn’t even be here considering those should fall into the “ too painful to remember” category and I do agree that nagito’s desire is to live a normal life (though for different reasons)

I think the context of that scene seems to suggest that the shocked expression came from the pain from the spear rather than any fear of death and I don’t think his dependence on hope blinds him so much as suppresses them (I’ll elaborate on the next half)

We’ll see about that

sdr2.5 plot is insane because Komaeda kills himself so violently in the game that NWP creates for him an alternate fake world where he's happy and has friends but Hinata and Chiaki (the people central in his suicide) aren't there, and Hinata saw this and his brilliant idea to wake up Komaeda was killing all his friends in the fake world and push him to kill himself again in order to wake him up. It works without any downside whatsoever.

And it's somehow the best written thing that came out of dr3

Cross examining the ova part 2(a critique of @rirururu)

Time to once again rip apart Rirururu’s attempt at turning one of my more disliked Danganronpa projects into an amateur fanfic

Not exactly after ego and monomi didn’t start out as blank slates they were Already existing ai just transferred (get ready he’s about to say something dumb)

Told ya he was going to say something dumb hey ding dong did it ever occur to you that the other were trapped in the neo world program and that world destroyer got them out and he’s just going after nagito after all or did you spend too much time treating the ova as your amateur fanfiction (well then again that’s not entirely incorrect)

I’ve already debunked the ai thing but this leads to more questionable arguments but if it’s so painful to believe the someone you liked was ultimate despair than why are all the students barring hajime and Chiaki there shouldn’t it be more painful to believe those you looked up to and idolized turned out to be bad and anything hajime did that can be remotely considered flipped his world upside came after he was dead when he defeated junko or are you one of those “he wasn’t trying to kill them he wanted to test their hope” people

I mean if there any real indication of that last we saw prior to hope hajime still didn’t know what to think of nagito and has been confirmed to not know what his dream world looked like and it’s not just komaeda it’s everyone else’s (and again ai hajizudu wasn’t made from j nagito’s memories)

Once again ai hajizuru is not real hajizuru and as far as we know ai hajizuru is just being informative and everything about nagito’s behavior suggests he’s being serious

Yes it sounds like a lame fanfic

Doesn’t it also seem strange that Chiaki his parents and even his dog don’t even appear in this ova while the whole class does

Well in cosmic sort of way

While for the most part I do agree with this his reasoning is about to become even dumber

Okay first of nagito didn’t put up any unlikable persona’s everything he typically says is usually genuine and that’s forgetting his antagonistic behavior towards komaeda in later chapters even agreeing to join kazuichi and Akane in beating up nagito before finding his body

love when people completely misinterpret SDR2.5 OVA somehow and come to the conclusion that komaeda would hate hinata after it/have some kind of ptsd regarding him from it as if SDR2.5 OVA isn’t the most obvious piece of media that shows us that they are practically soulmates. parallels of each other. and deeply important to each other.

really weird im beginning to think some of you just hate komaeda despite the fact that the dr writers pretty much state theyre in love/at the very least deeply important to one another
