Dear Scratzme On behalf of the Cape of Good Hope SPCA we would like to thank Scratzme for donating a wonderful scratch post which we used as a prize in our 3rd annual TatsForTails tattoo fundraiser which took place from the 24th to the 30th of January 2022 in partnership with Primal Culture Tattoo Studio. The event was supported by well-known personalities KFM’s Brandon Leigh and musical twin duo Peter and John Talmakes, (better known by their stage name the PJ Twins). All 3 have committed to being lined for life in order to throw a rescued animal a lifeline during our tattoo-a-thon. We also saw the return of the big-hearted singer/songwriter Craig Lucas, Saya Pierce Jones from Eye Witness News and Journalist Venecia Valentine who supported the event last year. We also had well known personality Zoe Brown from KFM who did a video promotion of our event since she was the first person who got inked in our very first TatsForTails in 2019. We managed to do a 114 tattoos and participants felt good that they were making a difference to animals. All funds raised from TatsForTails will be allocated to our Adoption Centre who cares and keeps thousands of animals happy and healthy who are awaiting homes. In essence each tattoo covered the cost of caring for 7 animals for a day or that one animal’s costs are covered for an entire week of care. Once again, thank you for your contribution towards our TatsForTails tattoo fundraiser and in doing so help us care for the many animals awaiting their forever homes.
