Quality Education vs. Quantity Education- Best CBSE affiliated schools in Dhenkanal
One of the very popular quotes of Albert Einstein goes like – “Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think”, if you notice this statement kind off contradicts the two very pillars of the existing educational system i.e. ‘Learning’ and ‘Training’. We often tend to experience both the aspects of education but there is a fine line in between that can make a difference. So, Education imparted at schools follows a certain curriculum and format that is thoroughly designed overtime with different metrics to help children grow. No doubt that the definition of knowledge has changed in years impacting the lives of students but what remains the same is the way it is imparted and evaluated. St. Xavier’s High School is the best CBSE affiliated school in Dhenkanal, Odisha, providing an exceptional education for every child.
Tumblr media
One aspect of education tends to focus on the quality of education, exploring new mediums and options while the other follows a more quantitative approach of volume and grades. Quality education goes beyond the four walls and books to provide a more practical and enriching method of learning while Quantity educations focus more on textual and bookish forms of information. While Quality education focuses on the all-round development of an individual, Quantity education inclines towards academic excellence as a primary goal. Though both the aspects of education prevail in modern-day learning but there has been a shift in the weight age given to each.
As one of the best CBSE affiliated schools in Dhenkanal, St. Xavier’s High School is attaining popularity for all the right reasons. The education imparted at the school differs from other established schools due to its incredible inclination towards more holistic and qualitative education. Unlike other schools chasing ranks and results with a quantity-based education, St. Xavier’s views quality education as a kind of education that can fetch a student all-round development in the physical, psychological and intellectual sense. With such modern methodologies of learning, the school has able to create a balanced environment of learning and co-curricular experiences. As a result, students of St. Xavier’s have shown exemplary growth outperforming in every domain.

How can a college become autonomous?
There are some criteria a college should follow before becoming an autonomous-
The college should have a minimum of 10 years of existence.
Must have ‘A’ grade from NBA or NAAC for have a minimum of 3 programmes.
The research/academic achievements of faculties.
Quality of institutional management.
Adequacy of infrastructure, library, equipment, accommodation for tutorial activities, etc.

How do I get into private universities in India?
Different colleges have different method of admission process. Some college take students on the basis of their grades only; some conduct entrance exams, these colleges observe on both entrance and grades students score. In some college/ university Personal interview is conducted, basically students were asked about their brief introduction and their learnings from their academics.
What are the advantages of private universities in India?
Though Indian government is maintaining schools, colleges and universities, government’s primary responsibility is to supply primary education for all children under Right to Education (RTE) act. Hence Private universities will reduce the burden of government to SUPPLY higher education.
To sustain global competition, huge capital, resources and technology is required. Government alone cannot afford to take a position this stuff, hence private participation is important.
Establishment of personal universities will create more employment opportunities.
Through establishment of more universities, competition results in providing more quality education.
Is it possible to transfer from autonomous to university?
It depends on college/university to college/university.
Generally, students change their college. For specific details, students need to consult the admission department of their college.
In some colleges, student has to give a general application with a valid reason for changing the college and his/her stream as well as in the admission department and then  admission department guides the student accordingly.
Is it good to study in an autonomous college?
Autonomous colleges have their own administration rules instead of being affiliated to some University. Government autonomous colleges are extremely demanded as they need the topmost experts in our country. But on the opposite hand private autonomous institutions with the exception of few are low in quality. Since they’re not affiliated to any university the degrees they provide also doesn't have popular recognition.
Also go through the following queries, it will help you to understand dipper.
Which is a better autonomous or affiliated college?
Before choosing among autonomous or affiliated college you need to prioritize your needs, it will help you to decide.
Advantages of Autonomous colleges:
Autonomous colleges have full rights over framing academic curriculum, syllabus, and exams.
The advantage of autonomous colleges, because the papers are limited in number, the standard of correction is going to be good.
Disadvantages of Autonomous colleges:
As they’re not bound by all rules of the Universities and Government. So, they have a affordable fee structure for common and poor people.
Advantages of Affiliated colleges:
The rules and regulations are made by the respective university.
An autonomous college needs to stick to UGC rules and regulations for daily operations.
Students will get certificate directly from university.
A common syllabus for all colleges are set.
Disadvantages of Affiliated colleges:
As the papers are corrected in bulk, the standard of paper correction is slightly worse compared to autonomous.
They can't make their own decisions, they have to strictly follow university rules.
How many autonomous colleges are there in Odisha?

Do autonomous means private?
To some extend we can say autonomous colleges are private due to following two factors:
Examination Pattern
The papers in an autonomous college are set by the school, and hence are quite predictable. Often this becomes the rationale to review within the pattern or course elucidated within the classrooms.
Admission Process
There is similarities in autonomous and in private systems is their admission process. For an autonomous college, the choice of a student’s admission lies with the top of the school. Therefore, it’s easy to urge admission in an autonomous college.
Is attendance compulsory in autonomous College?
Because during 3–4 month of educational session many activities perform within the college, like as technical event, sports, annual function and many other competition. If student don’t have 75% attendance means they don’t attend college regularly and do not attend lecture regularly. And many of them are not present at the time of seminar and cultural event. In everyday class students perform practical related to the subject, so they get practical knowledge of the subject. Hence, the decision take by engineering college that the 75% attendance compulsory is best decision for the student’s future.
What is the cutoff for top private universities in India?
In India, there are many colleges and university with many streams. If Mechanical Engineering is to be considered and some university few examples are given below:-

Government has decided to permit payment of tuition fee to students other than SC & ST and obtain an EAMCET rank up to 10,000 in order to encourage poor and meritorious students.
Can we change the college after 1st year of engineering from affiliated to autonomous college?
Yes, you can change your autonomous college to a different college after completing your 1st year of engineering. You can get admission in any other college through lateral entry. "My Professional cum Emotional Open Letter to all School Leaders" In the last 6 months, I have read and heard countless stories of employees struggling to deal with difficult bosses. This is a grave situation that creates a tense climate for employees, affecting their mental health and increasing staff turnover rate, hence the need to write this open letter to all bosses. Sometimes, the employee is to be blamed, but that’s another side of the story which I will address another time. For now, Dear Boss, I know you have goals to achieve. I know the targets are high. I know competition is tight. I know you’re passionate about your business and want success to be recorded in the shortest possible time. I know you want to increase, double or quadruple the company revenue, as the case may be. I know you want to see the results that justify the salary you pay at the end of every month. But know this: your employees are human beings, not robots. What is the implication of this? 👉 They have feelings. 👉 They get tired. 👉 They require motivation. 👉 They need your financial as well as mental support. 👉 They need your affirmation. In light of this, Dear Boss, be tough, but kind; be driven, but empathize; be firm, but affirm them; emphasize excellence, but sometimes cut them just a little slack; talk about clients, but sometimes talk about them; discuss institution growth, but sometimes discuss their personal growth; grow the company, but also grow your employees. It’s amazing how these little practices will radically positively transform your business, if the issues are from your end. Thanks a lot to Hon'ble Management & Principal Madam Mrs. Minati Samal of Xaverian High School ; Bhapur ; Dhenkanal ; Odisha for giving me an opportunity to share my vision and goals with the teachers of the same school followed by a Teacher Training Session , which was conducted by me.
