Somethings that bother me about the "laudna and imogen have no conflict" or "their conflict (gnarlrock) was resolved too fast" is both the idea that for a ship (or simply the dynamic between two characters) to be considered any good there is a need to have constant disagreement, but what bothers me the most is that that kind of dynamic just wouldn't fit those character, it feels like those people are saying "I would ship them if everything about the ship was different", and more importantly all those long post I've read just seem to ignore the foundation in which this relationship was built, for 2 years (more or less) they only had each other, they lived nomad lives and they were each other's only constant, with that in mind, it is easy to understand why they can solve their disagreements the way they do, they are used to each other, they are used to relying on each other, they had to learn to accommodate to the other's needs before the campaign started, and if this is somehow boring to you fine, I have disliked a fandom's most popular ship before I know how annoying it is, but some of those posts sound like op thinks the dynamic between them should be completely changed for the ship to be appealing, and they are stated like facts, as if everyone else just has a bad taste in media for liking it, and it just bothers me a lot because this is just having different tastes in media, which is fucking normal, but because of the way some people frame their arguments it sounds like they feel like they are the beholder of an objective truth that others lack the media literacy to see.
