Stereotype
A stereotype is a fixed idea about a particular type of person or thing, which is often not true in reality or maybe partially true. A stereotype cannot be used as evidence for research.
Jordindian - Smoke Shisha Play Fifa
youtube
Stereotype of Sheikhs in Gulf - The song is the stereotype on the sheikhs of gulf who have an obsession with shisha and Fifa. The video stresses that the Sheikhs just care about shisha and Fifa. The rich lifestyle of Sheikhs has been indicated hilariously. The sheikh discusses his affection for shisha, gaming, fifa, and women. The other stereotype is that they like just double apple flavor and lemon mint gives them a headache. The video is accepting all the stereotypes identified with the life of the rich sheikhs and has brought an amusing source of entertainment.
Dilli De Sardarboys
youtube
Stereotype of Sardars of Delhi- The song is the hilarious interpretation of the current stereotype of the sardars living in Delhi. The song makes fun of various things that are related to sardars of Delhi like- they do not care about police, tripling on an Activa, always drinking, wearing first copy Rayban, wearing an Armani from Palika Bazar, they abuse a lot, love butter chicken and are always. The Dilli Sardar boys are joyfully accepting and being proud of which makes the song more hilarious. Them embracing the stereotype has brought a hilarious twist to the notion of the stereotype which was looked as bad before. Making fun of the stereotypes is considered being progressive these days.

Stereotype
A stereotype is an impression or a belief,  created by mass, which reflects the character of members of a large social group. It is called “stereotype” because it has no justification or any kind of evidence to prove the facts. The character/thoughts might not or might be true, but it does not define one's culture/identity. Stereotype is a negative word when it is taken seriously and it becomes positive when used for entertainment purposes.
The following videos show how stereotypes can be fun and entertaining when used in the correct manner.
Dilli De Sardarboys (Starboy Punjabi Version) ft. Aparshakti Khurana & Singhsta || TVF CoCan Studio
youtube
“Dilli De Sardarboys” was released in 2017 on youtube by TVF CoCan studio. This video is a combination of as many stereotypical thoughts one can have about Delhi sardar boys.
Tumblr media
Video starts with a wedding scene, which shows both groom and bride's name is “Jasmeet”,which is typical in punjabi families, as the names are similar for both genders.Video shows how partying at parking areas is a part of weddings, as all secret daru parties occur in the parking area.
Video also reflects the other aspects of being sadar and how sardar’s are above the traffic law as they don't need to wear helmets.
Tumblr media
Further it shows how punjabi families name their kids. Which is totally hilarious.
Tumblr media
As a viewer, you will notice every single person dancing in this video on dhol beats, which shows thier passion and immense love toward bhangra.
Jordindian - Smoke Shisha Play Fifa - Stereotype of rich sheikh
youtube
In this video a rich Sheikh and Indian immigrant talks about how playing fifa and smoking shisha is a big part of their stereotypical lifestyle. Not only it shows how someone expects a Sheikh to look like, wearing white hawb and slippers and  from driving a luxury sports car to owning big cats in an abstract way.
Tumblr media
It also shows that going Dubai is an aspiration for Indians and once they reach there, they get influenced by their obsession of playing fifa and smoking shisha.
Tumblr media
Instead of showing big buildings and modern infrastructure the video shows desert and camel riding, which is another stereotype about Dubai.

Stereotype = Embracing
A stereotype is a widely held oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing. In other words, a stereotype is an idea or belief many people have about a thing or group that is based upon how they look on the outside, which may be untrue or only partly true. The new trend of embracing stereotype and happily accepting them is what has brought a hilarious twist to the notion of stereotype which was looked as bad before but it has now become an innovative source of entertainment.
Tumblr media
Jordindian - Smoke Shisha Play Fifa
Stereotype of people from Gulf-The song is a witty response to the stereotype and their obsession with shisha and Fifa. The video shows the lively and fun lifestyle of the rich Sheikhs and Indians who immigrate to the Middle East for money. The song emphasizes that Shisha and Fifa are all that they care about. The song amuses the listeners where the Sheikh talks about his love for Shisha, Fifa, Gaming, and Ladies while the immigrant boy says that he doesn't have shisha because it's not good for health and he is scared of his dad but he loves food and girls. In the song, they also mention the other stereotype that they are known for like their love for kababs and chicken breast, their favorite flavor is double apple and lemon-mint gives them head-ache and Messi being their favorite player which makes the song very real and looks like an honest sneak peek into their lives. The song is accepting all the stereotypes related to the life of a rich sheikh and the immigrant Indian in middle east countries and embracing it.

Dilli De Sardarboys- Stereotype of Sardar of Delhi
This song is a witty take on the existing stereotype of sardars belonging to Delhi. The songs make fun of the things and traits that are commonly associated with Sardars of Delhi like activa bike, B.tech, Butter Chicken, Gaffar Market, Tatoo, Momos, Always being late, iPhone 7, Armani from Palika. The song is hilarious because all the stereotypes and peculiar habits associated with Sardarboys of Delhi are honestly put in front in the video and the Dilli Sadar boys are happily accepting it and being proud of it which makes the song more engaging.

Hmmm.... Can we say that Indian women are required to  do household work only as a stereotype? or, Indian men are supposed to provide food and financial aid to that household is a stereotype? well.. Yes, the “fixed idea” about certain people is a stereotype. People observe other people and they create an idea that all the people from this community are certain.
For example, people say about Sardars that “ iske to 12 baj gaye” the meaning behind this stereotype is that at 12 sardars go mad. And this stereotype came from a history of war, in which sardars decided to attack at 12 am. With the time passed this stereotype is used as a joke now.
I think that stereotype is nothing but a thought which is shared by several people to create an idea of different types of people. And that thought can be changed. Stereotypes are a funny thing, people sometimes embrace it or break it. It is not FIXED. Sometimes, it can become a reason for someone to be judged because of being different.
We live in a society, a society where there are fixed roles and fixed ideas and everything supposed to be fixed, and when all the things are fixed they create a stereotype. And when someone doesn't follow those fixed ideas they break the stereotype and create a new identity. And that change led to creating some new stereotypes. Huh..and it continues.
In today’s date, there are old and new stereotypes. Lets see this music video in which they have embraced the stereotypes.
youtube
Dilli de sardarboys- it is a fun video in which they talk about every little detail of how things are done by sardars of delhi. Whether it's a parking party or an armani suit, they have just embraced all the things they are associated with.
Like I discussed above, there is no certain way of addressing stereotypes. Some break it, some embrace it, and some joke about it.

Embracing Stereotypes
Stereotype is a particular type of an idea/perspective of a person or thing which has been emerging and doesn't break for centuries and runs through generation to generation. But the idea/perspective can be true in reality or it just can be a reel. Stereotype is not culture nor it can be a source for research as evidence. By accepting stereotypes it can be a fun source of entertainment.
Jordindian - Smoke Shisha Play Fifa - Stereotype of rich sheikh
youtube
Smoke Shisha Play Fifa is a music video which is based on the stereotype related to the life of a rich sheikh. The video starts with the lavish life of a sheikh in the pool telling his indian immigrant friend “ This is the life! habibi” which shows the stereotype of the rich sheikh lifestyle that everyone dreams to achieve. “Smoke Shisha Play Fifa” depicts the stereotypical life of a rich sheikh because they only like to play fifia and double apple smoke shisha. The video showed how confident and desperate to win fifa against people. ‘Hamus’ and “don't worry about hahal” shows the attributes of stereotype. The Indian immigrant turns like the seikh under their influence. The pets of seikh are usually extravagant such tigers and cheetahs, in the video they depicted it by cat. The south indian immigrant is also shown in stereotypical ways by adding words like ayyio, vainko!. And how a indian middle class goes to the Gulf for a better future who is still scared of his father.
Dilli De Sardarboys- Stereotype of Sardar of Delhi
youtube
The song depicts the stereotype of things which are related to the sardar's living in Delhi. The music videos touches every aspect of stereotype like always being late to events or things, tripling on scooty, not caring about the police, buying and wearing knockoffs like Rayban sunglasses and Armani from Palika Bazar, always buying Iphone, the way they abuse in every line, drinking lots of liquor and partying in parkings. Without eating momos from butter chicken they cannot survive. The stereotype of prefix and suffix in sardar names. Lastly in the video showed how sardars are emotional and soft hearted and drink a lot after that but always keep their personality on top and always want attention.
