A Complete Backpacking Guide for Trekkers: The Kedarkantha Trek
One of the most important holy locations, particularly in Hindu mythology, is Kedarkantha Trek. At the base of the top, there is a revered temple dedicated to Lord Kedarkantha (Shivji), which has endured the test of time. Every year, millions of pilgrims climb mountains to offer their prayers and seek the Hindu Deity's blessings.
At the foot of the Kedarkantha peak, facing the Kedar Parvat, is the actual temple. Kedarkantha is a simple walk that is particularly lovely in the winter. Both avid trekkers and those who love the outdoors frequently find this to be one of the Himalayan region's most outstanding crests to their liking.
Tumblr media
About the Kedarkantha Trek
One of those treks allows you to reach the summit even during the bitter winters. A four-day introductory hike across Uttarakhand leads to the frozen Juda ka Talab and snow-covered trails. From the summit of the 12500-foot kedarkantha trekking, the amazing sunrise appears to be in heaven From the summit, one can see a variety of peaks, including Pangarchulla and Har Ki Dun.
Even if you are not a Hindu, you may sense the faith all around you because of the need to find your higher purpose and the belief in faith. It creates the atmosphere for when you begin your ascent.
The large mountain peaks' forested bases, along with pine tree meadows and perhaps even snow caressing the hills, provide a breathtaking backdrop for your group's adventure. Along with the river Tons, which is fed by glaciers, you'll also start to see breathtaking panoramic vistas of notable mountain summits immediately after leaving the base camp.
Sankri Village, the starting point
You must first travel from Delhi to Dehradun by bus, train, aeroplane, or other means of personal transportation. You then proceed to Sankri, where the journey starts. With Juda Ka Talab, the trek from Sankri to the Kedarkantha summit covers a total of about 25 kilometres and takes about 4-5 days.
By road, from Delhi to Sankri
Sankri is a small village located 200 kilometres from Dehradun, kedarkantha trek distance the Rupin Pass, Har Ki Dun Trek, and Kedarkantha Trek begin. Dehradun - Purola - Mori - Naitwar - Sankri is the route from Dehradun to Sankri. On the road, the trip takes about 7 hours.
It's a pretty beautiful path to drive. A night's stay at Sankri village is necessary because it is surrounded by stunning natural scenery. Enjoy the quaint town!
Public Transportation
There are several ways to get to your starting place if you decide to start your walk via public transportation.
Recommended Route for the Kedarkantha Trek
A strategy that allows for some flexibility is the greatest way to enjoy a walk. The Kedarkantha Trek is best completed in 4-5 days and includes some of the most breathtaking scenery and campsites.
Most days, your trip won't last more than 4-5 hours, allowing you plenty of time to unwind, take in the scenery, and develop close relationships with your friends. Of course, if you want to reduce the amount of planning required, I strongly advise purchasing a guide.
You may also need to bring your own camping gear if you are not taking a package excursion. The Kedarkantha Trek, however, is manageable and suitable for beginners. So, dear trekkers, don't worry and move forward one step at a time!

Today, traveling is an incredibly popular hobby and career that is emerging. The demand for people to travel for business or to enjoy themselves in a new place, is on the rise. Now is the time for you to experience it, too. Here are some tips that you can use to get you started with your traveling plans.
In most parts of the world, it is considered good etiquette to ask someone for permission when taking their picture. Many people will become very offended if you take their photograph without asking, and this could even lead to violence. It is better to simply get their permission first than risk offense. When considering travel insurance for an upcoming trip, be sure to have a number of questions and anticipated answers ready for your provider. Keep good records for when comparing rates. Ask such things such as how payment would be processed for reimbursements, and if there are any conditions that would nullify the agreement. A car's tires should be checked before any major road travel. This includes, not only a visual inspection for leaks and flatness, but a full pressure check. Tires that are not fully inflated to their recommended PSI will hurt highway performance and reduce gas mileage. By ensuring the tires are up to snuff, the wise motorist can save real money on a long car trip. Young children benefit from having their own personal bag when traveling. A small backpack is fine and the more choice they have in what to put into it the more entertained they will be on the trip. Always take pencils, paper, and crayons. Tuck in a map of your destination, maybe a hand held video game, a set of ear phones, and a snack or too. Another invaluable inclusion in these bags is a package of baby wipes. Use soft-sided carry on luggage, instead of a hard-sided case. When trying to cram your luggage into the overhead bin, soft-sided cases will have more give and be more easily stowed. There is no chance that a hard-sided case that is too big will ever fit. It will have to be gate checked and you won't be able to access it until you deplane. American travelers who have not left the country in several years should be aware that they definitely need an up-to-date passport. For a long time it was possible for US citizens to visit Mexico and Canada without such documentation. This is no longer the case, with modern security concerns. American travelers should have their passports in order if they intend to visit any other country. When reading reviews of destinations by other travelers, try to identify whether you and the reviewer have the same expectations and circumstances before basing your decision on other travelers' experiences. One person may give negative reviews due to a lack of kid-friendly features and attractions; if you are traveling without children or on a business trip, such a review would not be particularly useful for you personally. Make sure you make the most of your destination vacation. sar pass trek kasol will book travel excursions for you, including picking you up at the hotel and dropping you back off. Tour operators are usually affiliated with the hotels so you may rest assured that you are in good hands. Joining a hotel's loyalty program can provide you with many different traveling perks. Members of these programs often get special bonuses that are not available to the general population. Some hotels offer free internet access or a free drink every morning for breakfast. Others will iron a few items of your clothing for no charge. Loyalty programs are a way to make your hotel stay a little more pleasant. When taking a cruise, your health should be your number one priority. Before you depart, speak with your doctor about the trip you are planning on taking and any extra medication you may need. Let your doctor know the ports your cruise ship will visit and all modes of transportation you may encounter. Your doctor can offer advice on where you can obtain medical care as well as where you can get a prescription filled in an emergency. You should now see why this hobby and career is very popular. There is so much for you to see and do! There is also a ton of information on how to reap the benefits of each trip. By following these tips, you are well on your way to becoming a smarter and safer traveler.

Best Time To Visit Kareri Lake
Which is the best time to visit Kareri Lake? If you are planning to visit Kareri Lake, then the best time to visit here is from May to July and then from September to November. If you want detailed information about the weather of Kareri Lake, then read the complete article given below -
Kareri Lake in Summer
Summer weather is very favorable. Due to which this season is considered to be the best for the Kareri Lake trek. The summer season starts from the month of May in this region, and lasts till the middle of July. During May all the snow disappears from the trekking trails, giving a clear view of the landscape. These days you can enjoy the disappearance of lush green plains.
During the trek, you pass through many trials, in which alpine forests with a mix of rhododendron, deodar, spruce and oak trees fascinate you, in such a way you feel yourself lost in nature. It doesn't work out of a dream. The temperature of the lake usually ranges between 10 and 26 °C during the summer season. However, it can fall further during the night time. There is very little chance of rain in this season, due to which your trekking journey will be very spectacular.
Triund Trek Package
Sar Pass Trek
Kareri Lake in Monsoon
The Kareri Lake trek can also be done during the monsoon season. But you must be prepared to face the rain you are going to get during trekking for trekking during monsoons. The peak rainy season in the region usually starts in mid-July and lasts till mid-September. Even in the rainy season, you can experience sub-zero temperatures during the night. Because the temperature remains between 9 to 18 degree Celsius. Due to the rains, more vegetation grows on the sides of the trails. But you cannot camp in the rainy season. Because the stream of water from the hill comes fiercely towards the plain. For accommodation you can stay inside Snow Monk Camp in Kareri Village.
Kareri Lake in Autumn
If you like trekking in the autumn season, then you can go trekking to Kareri Lake in September, and between October and November. These days all the views around the lake become captivating. Due to which the landscape looks more attractive. In autumn the sky is clear, there is very little chance of rain. Pleasant weather makes the experience of a selective adventure travel even better. The nights are extremely cold during September and October.
Kareri Lake in Winter
The winter season is rarely preferred to trekking Kareri Lake. But still it's a good time for snow lovers. During the day the temperature does not go above 10 °C, and during the night the temperature reaches -15 °C. The winter season is quite cold, due to which the Kareri Lake remains completely frozen.
There is always a thick layer of snow on the trail. Due to which it is very difficult to decide the route of the last few kilometers. Those who do not have experience of trekking during winters, they should avoid Kareri Lake trekking during winters. But if you have an experienced guide with you, you can easily trek even in this season. And capture the snow-capped lake and the spectacular scenery in your camera.
From where do the Kareri Lake treks start and how many routes are there?
There are 2 routes to attempt the Kareri  Lake trek. One route is up the Nyund River from the Kareri village side and the other route is up the Khauli river from Salli village side. The Kareri village route is an old existing route which starts from Naddi descending down to Ghera village and via the Kareri village to Kareri Lake. The route up Khauli river which starts from Salli village, is an easier and more scenic and an open valley trek route.
A new road has come up now which connects both Salli, Nolli and Kareri villages hence there is no need to start the trek from Naddi anymore. One should start the trek from either Snow Monk Camp at Salli village or from the Nolli village. An advantage of the Khauli Valley is that there are other trek routes also which one can attempt like Druni Tal, Baleni Pass, Lam Dal Lakes and to the Boh valley hence giving an advantage to start treks from Salli village in Khauli valley.

Everyone has that feeling when they are about to walk out the door, or sitting on a plane 10,000 feet above ground; did I leave the oven on? While traveling is a fun and relaxing experience, it also has its own myriad of stresses that we hope the following information will help you sort through and prepare for your next big trip.
Before travelling, make sure you check the projected weather for your destination. You don't want to be stuck with nothing but winter clothes during a heat wave or only shorts and tank-tops during a blizzard. Purchasing new clothing while on vacation may not only be expensive, but you might not have room in your luggage to take everything home with you! You can save a lot of money on your next vacation by purchasing a last minute travel deal. Many websites now offer this feature. When travel agencies, cruises, airlines and the like have unsold vacation packages, they offer them at steep discounts the closer they get to departure date. If you're staying in a hotel and you like coffee, don't use the tap water to make it. Instead, get some ice from the ice machine and put it in the coffee maker the night before to melt. The ice machines use filtered water so you'll get better tasting coffee! When traveling on an airplane, always be sure to have everything you would need for the next day in your carry on. Since your carry on is always with you, you can be sure that if they will loose your luggage that you will be able to get by on the next day. In most cases, airlines should have your luggage to you by then. Airplanes can be filled with airborne bacteria. You can dab some Neosporin in your nose while on the plane to combat the germs in the air. sar pass trek kasol can also use hand sanitizer frequently. After you rub the sanitizer into your hands, put a small amount right under your nose. Show your loyalty. Even if you are only planning to stay one night, if your hotel has a loyalty program, it can be worth it to join. In addition to additional amenities, such as garment pressing or free meals, a guest who is perceived as a loyal customer is less likely to be chosen if the hotel is overbooked and needs to cancel a reservation or needs to substitute a lower quality room. Make sure your passport hasn't expired. Every country has their own set of laws regarding passports. You are usually not allowed to enter a country if your passport expires soon. These tend to range from three to six months, but in some cases can reach eight months or even a year. Save money on your local travel when you arrive at your destination. By doing a bit of research into the various means of public transportation, you can avoid costly ground transportation such as taxis. Taking the bus for instance, can not only be cost effective, but also more enjoyable than chasing down cabs and paying those fees. You can find cruise deals at a lot of agencies. The internet doesn't usually have deals, but it is a great place to get an idea of what is available and the type of cruise you would like to take. Cruise specialists can give you information about the cruise line and help you select the options on your cruise. Before traveling on a road trip, come up with two different routes; one should include a variety of landmarks while the other should give you a direct path to your destination. By having two routes planned, you can be flexible depending on your needs. If you start to run out of time, take the faster route. Otherwise, go on the scenic route and enjoy seeing some of the local landmarks. To pack light while traveling, make time to plan ahead. Lay articles of clothing out before you pack, and make sure that each top can go with more than one bottom. Bring clothes that are comfortable and easy to wash, in case you need to do laundry on the road. Think carefully about the shoes you bring. It is best to wear your bulkiest items on the flight, to make more room in your luggage. We can't promise you that nothing will go wrong on your next vacation, but if you are able to put into place the tips and advice we have given you here in this article, there should be much less that can go wrong and put a damper on your traveling adventure. Bon voyage!

Sevens reasons that will inspire you to trek the alluring Sar Pass The Sar Pass Trek is one of the most beautiful Himalayan treks located in Himachal Pradesh. Sar Pass is a mountain pass (resembles a ridge) that is situated in Parvati Valley of the Kullu district. The elegant and beautiful Parvati Valley runs eastwards from the confluence point of river Beas and river Parvati. The meaning of “Sar” in the local language is Lake. The trekkers do have to pass a small and mostly frozen lake while trekking in between the Tila Lotni and Biskeri ridge, during the trek. It is one of the easy treks in India. To do the trek, you will have to reach to Bhuntar. It is accessible by both highways and through the air. Apart from the picturesque panoramic views of snowy mountains and a pleasant valley, trekkers also enjoy the glittering streams, colorful flowers, butterflies, range of high altitude birds, hanging glaciers, and other beautiful natural creations during their journey to Sar Pass. Kasol (located on the banks of river Parvati), is the town from where the trek to the Sar Pass Valley starts. It is only 30 kilometers away from Bhuntar. The melange of self-realization and adventurism on the Himalayan surface is unique and memorable in several ways. The Sar Pass ranks amongst the easy to moderate treks in India. It has the best attractions for both National and international tourists. Here are 7 reasons why you should successfully accomplish the Sar Pass trek this holiday. 1. Safety Insured The Sar Pass trek is situated at the height of around 12,500 feet (approx. 3810 meters). The weather can be surprising for many of the trekkers and tourists especially if they are beginners at trekking in the Himalayas. Amazing Panoramic Views and Sceneries Any trek in the Himalayas has the most beautiful scenes to be captured. The towering snow peaks, lush green and dark forests, beautiful hanging valleys, streams having crystal clear waters, and exotic fauna and flora are only some of the highlights of the Sar Pass trek. You will be impressed by the natural beauty of the rhododendron on plants, and the coniferous and pine trees. An immense variety of colorful flowers are native to this region. Other notable trees of the area include spruce, fir, and deodar. You can also find here the rare medicinal plants including Brahma Kamal (Saussurea Obvallata) and Hath Panja (Dactylorhiza Hatageria). 3. Campsites The Sar Pass trek spans across 4 days once initiated at Kasol. You will get an enjoyable and memorable opportunity to spend your night at the campgrounds within the Alpine tents. This is a fascinating experience to spend a night out and what you feel may not be put into words. You will be able to de-stress yourself and relax within the natural surroundings.
