it was a longggg slow realization for me honestly. i never internally referred to myself as a girl, but i realised i wasn't straight first. i was around thirteen? for gender though i was probably 14 or 15, when i started allowing myself to Not Be A Girl

anyways so he’s one of my friends from where i used to live on the east coast and while i was there he liked me a lot?? i thought it was an off and on thing because he dated a lot of people but after i left he said he had been pretty in love with me before i left…

the thing was i had no idea he liked me, even though we were friends for a few years, until i left 😔 i never had a crush on him though, so i think maybe the fact that i left without him saying anything made it easier for him in the long run?? not sure
