Profitec Pro 400 Pro 500 or Lelit Bianca V3?
Profitec Pro 400, Pro 500, or Lelit Bianca V3? I'm looking to buy a new espresso machine that I realistically don't want to upgrade from basically ever. I'm (relatively) new to the home espresso game having worked in a coffee shop but never having owned a proper machine myself. And the most important thing to me really is the budget. My budget for this purchase is £2000 but I'd rather not spend the full amount if I can help it. I'm familiar and comfortable with the dial-in process and my taste preferences and so I really would like a machine that would allow me to get repeatable, great results. By no means however, am I a perfectionist and ease of use, for example, wake-up times, maintenance, etc are also a significant factor in making this purchase choice. These three machine models keep popping up as great options that deliver excellent espresso. I want to say that I really only added the Bianca V3 to this list of options because I kind of know that it's the best of the three but I'm just using it as a sort of placeholder to gauge whether it's *actually* worth it to spend £500+ more and how big that quality difference actually is. In other words, I'm semi-reluctant to spend the Lelit's price tag and will only do so if it will make a worthwhile step up in my espresso. The features I really want to know about are the heat exchanger vs dual boiler, and the PID controller. I hear contradicting reports about PID; some say it's not strictly necessary for heat exchanger machines and others scream that there's an unrivalled superiority in their quality. In your educated opinions, do I really need a PID-controlled machine to get the best out of my beans? And more importantly for me, is it worth spending the extra £300 to get one? I know that the Profitec Pro 400 has a three-stage temperature switch to give different heat settings for pulling shots. Is this enough to get great tasting espresso? Then for the heat EX vs dual boiler, I know essentially that separate boilers allow independent control of steam pressure and brew temperature. Brew temp is much more important to me than steam pressure as I'm used to working with different types of machines and steaming milk with a wide range of consumer-grade Sage Bambinos up to La Marzocco Lineas. For this reason is a dual boiler necessary for me to get that sought-after accuracy of brew temperature? I suppose this goes back to the PID thing as well but... yeah.Lastly, I want to talk about flow control. All three of these machines can be upgraded with--or already feature--a flow control valve. This is something I'm not practised with as in coffee shops we don't have time to do anything but a flat 9 bar extraction. In the case of the Profitecs, if I were to get the flow control option, would this also be a worthwhile investment? Especially considering that the Pro 400 features an automatic pre-infusion setting. All in all, thanks for getting through this long post haha and thank you for your advice!TL;DR: Wanna buy a long-lasting, great espresso machine and need to know if PID, flow control, dual boiler is really worth the big price increase compared to good quality heat exchanger with flat pressure profile (and possibly a pre-infusion option).   What're your ideas with regards to Furnace Humidifier?
How One Can Avoid High Heating Repair Bills
There are many ways to maintain your furnace system. Chances are good the system will be running full-time in the winter. furnace systems typically run longer than needed, because of incorrect controls. When troubleshooting and improving the heating segment of your furnace system, there are several areas to examine.
Replace The Air Filter
This is what you usually hear people talking about most frequently, but so few people take the advice and check it. If there is a obstruction, you either run the chance of not disbursing heat appropriately or perhaps igniting a fire. When the filter gets dirty air will not flow through as well which suggests the furnace must work harder and could also mean a likelihood of fire. If the system is not circulating heat efficiently, it will be working overtime. You want eliminate any risk of fire. Neither circumstance is good for your wallet or your peace of mind..
Look At The Blower
Look at your blower blades and clean them up. If you find any build-up of grime and dust, your fan will work harder to blow the air around, and your heating will be overexerting itself. This means the system is over taxed and costing extra money to run.
Check To See That The Fire Damper Works
Be sure to look at your fire damper for correct functioning. The fire damper is self-explanatory so take note of this aspect.
Look For Holes In The Flex Duct
Air ducts get bumped into over the years. If there are obstructions or if the duct has collapsed somewhere the furnace system will think the correct temp has been reached, which will be wrong. When this will happen the furnace works too much to do its job but is going to be unable to reach the desired tempurature.
Band Insulation
It is easy to miss the insulation, but is one of the most typical reason for a system malfunctioning. Take take time to focus on the insulation in between the duct work and the outside to make sure it has not come loose. When this happens furnace will work more than required while attempting to reach optimal temperature.
Air Ducts Need To Be Sealed
See that the ductwork has not become detached from the next section. Disconnected ductwork will permit hot air to escape and naturally increase the running costs.
Return Air Inlets And The Zone Dampers
Be sure that that return air intakes are free of dust and debris so air can easily flow. Examine the zone dampers to see if they are in the correct spot. Through the year we could change the position of the damper for many reasons (i.e. getting into a tight space or making room for storage). For a properly working system, look to see that the dampers are actually in the best place.
If these tasks are more than what you are confident with, it would be wise to hire a local heating company licensed for furnace and gas furnaces. You ought to manage to find a good heating company who will look after this for you. The most sage advice we can provide is to establish annual maintenance for that appliance.

HOW TO LOCATE YOUR FURNACE
DO YOU KNOW HOW TO LOCATE YOUR FURNACE?
Air circulation in your home
If you have central heating, the furnace (also known as an air handler) in your home will heat your air in the winter while the blower motor circulates the air throughout your home. The AC evaporator coils for your air handler remove heat and humidity in summer. After your furnace heats or cools your air, it is then supplied to the duct system and the air begins flowing through your registers.
How many air systems run in your home?
Your thermostat is what sets the temperature in your home for your comfort. The number of thermostat(s) determine how many systems work to regulate your indoor air for heating and cooling.
Improve IAQ with Duct cleaning
Air duct cleaning can help reduce allergies from dust and other pollutants. Pollen, dust, and mold spores can get trapped in your duct work, which means that it's being continuously circulated throughout the air you breathe at home.
According to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), 25 to 40 percent of the energy used for heating or cooling a home is wasted. Contaminants in the heating and cooling system cause it to work harder and shorten the life of your system. Although filters are used, the heating and cooling system still gets dirty through normal use.
The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) recommends air duct cleaning for improvement of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). A certified duct cleaning will include cleaning of the furnace, the main trunk line [for air circulation] and all vents (including supplies and returns) each cleaned out individually.
Where is a furnace/air-handler typically located in a home?
Typically your furnace is centrally located in the home. It is usually located in an area such as a utility closet (by a cold air return), garage, attic, basement, or crawlspace; in the case of a heat-pump (a dual-system) it will be located outside of the home. When your system is run with a heat pump, it is likely a typical duct cleaning will include cleaning of evaporator coils with full system cleanings. Your furnace is usually located by other mechanical equipment such as the hot water heater, a [permanently installed] central vacuum cleaner, or a water softener, if this equipment is installed in your home.

As a serious person who reads on Commercial HVAC Service, I think sharing that piece of content was a good thing. In case you enjoyed our blog entry plz do not forget to pass it around. Thanks for being here. Don't hesitate to visit our website back soon.
How One Can Avoid High Heating Repair Costs
You can maintain an furnace system numerous different ways. Chances are good that the system shall be running all day long during the cold months. furnace systems normally run more than needed, because of erroneous controls. There there are various areas in your heating section to look at when trouble shooting for efficiency.
The Air Filter
This is the part you typically hear people speaking about most frequently, but so few people take the advice and do anything about it. If there is a obstruction, you either run the chance of not circulating heat properly or perhaps igniting a fire. When the filter becomes dirty air will not flow through as well which suggests the furnace must work harder and could also mean a risk of fire. When the furnace works overtime, it costs more to run. You want eliminate any risk of fire. In both cases it is not suitable for peace of mind or your budget.
Try The Blower
Check the blower blades and clean them up. A messy fan will work harder to blow air around and of course use more energy to preserve the thermostat level you choose it at. This implies strain on your furnace system and your wallet since more energy is required to constantly run the blower.
Check To See That The Fire Damper Works
Be sure to check your fire damper for correct functioning. The fire damper explains itself so take note of this component.
Look For Holes In The Flex Duct
Air ducts can get damaged over the years. If there are blockades or if the duct has flattened anywhere the furnace system will think the correct temperature has been achieved, which will be wrong. When this happens the furnace works harder to do its job but will be unable to attain the right tempurature.
Band Insulation
Insulation is usually forgotten but is among the most frequent explanations why an furnace system malfunctions. Take take time to look at the insulation between the duct work and the outside to make sure it has not worked itself loose. If this has happened, your system will not reach optimal temperatures and will work overtime to try and accommodate.
Air Ducts Need To Be Sealed
Make sure the ductwork is hooked up in all places to all sections. These detachments may cause space in the circulation and result in a loss of heated air in your house, since it will be leaking out through the gaps.
Return Air Inlets And The Zone Dampers
Be certain to check that return air intakes are dirt free and in good shape or your system will be out of balance. Check out the zone dampers to see if they are in the correct position. Every so often a damper will get moved in error like when you fit by it, or create space for storage. Check to notice that the dampers are actually in the correct position too.
If these tasks are beyond what you are confident with, it would be a good idea to hire a local heating company licensed for furnace and gas furnaces. There will be a number of heating specialists around you who will take care of this all quite skillfully. The most sage advice we can offer is to set up annual maintenance for this appliance.

What to Consider When Buying an Espresso Coffee Machine
Water Tank Size
Many home espresso machines are pour-over ones. In other words, they don’t connect to your water supply, so you’ll need to pour water into them by hand.
But the amount of drinks you can prepare in a row is directly limited by the amount of water your espresso machine has access to. For that reason, it’s crucial to consider water tank size.
If you’re going to make a lot of beverages, you’ll likely prefer a larger water tank. This will reduce the frequency of refills.
Dimensions
The dimensions of the machine are worth factoring in to your considerations, as well. You wouldn’t want to invest in an espresso machine, wait for it to arrive, and then discover that you have no room for it in your home.
Make sure you check the dimensions of the machine in its description and compare those dimensions with your countertops or tables. Doing so will prevent you from having to return a machine that you just don’t have the space for.
Built-In Grinder
Want your coffee to taste as potent as possible? You’ll need to grind it right before brewing with it, then, rather than using pre-ground coffee.
Coffee quickly grows stale in a process called oxidation. The sooner you can use your beans after grinding them, the better your coffee will taste. Typically, this means you have to purchase a quality espresso grinder in addition to an espresso machine.
Luckily, this doesn’t always have to be the case. Some espresso machines are designed to be all-in-one and have integrated grinders. While this does mean they can be costlier, an espresso machine with an integrated grinder may be worth it to you simply for the convenience.
Heating Type
Your espresso machine’s heating system is one of the most vital components. Home espresso machines often use thermoblock systems or boilers.
Thermoblocks are basically blocks of metal with heating elements in them. As your water passes through the metal, the heating elements warm up the water. This system is excellent for quick heating and also tends to be less expensive.
Boilers are what you’ll usually find in a coffee shop’s machine. Boilers are powerful and come in a range of their own categories. Depending on the number of boilers your espresso machine has, a boiler system can sometimes be more expensive.
User-Friendliness
Much of the time, learning to use an espresso machine can be a bit complicated if you’re a novice. They often aren’t bean to cup machines that address every single step for you, nor are they pod machines that brew automatically based on the type of pod you select.
This doesn’t mean that all espresso machines are challenging, though. There are features that make one easier to use than another. There are some machines that are one-touch and will brew and froth your milk for you.
There are also espresso machines that are purely manual and put the entire process in your hands. It’s ultimately your decision on which one is preferable.
Wrap Up
There are tons of espresso machines out there. The ones we included in this post are really just the beginning.
If you’re still feeling confused, the one we’d recommend on the list most is the Rocket Cinquantotto. It’s easily the highest quality espresso machine here, due to its powerful dual boiler design and stainless steel case. The problem is, it might be a bit tricky for beginners to learn.
If you want an easier beginner espresso machine, consider the Swan Retro One Touch Espresso Machine. Its one-touch button controls are perfect for those who want a café-level drink without all the faff.

Make a solid base out of sweet Almond oil, Beeswax and a couple of drops of Vitamin E. Heat up the oil so it's good and warm, melt the Beeswax in it, take it off heat and let it cool slightly, stir it so it thickens, then add the Vitamin E.
To this you can add any scent, put in little containers, and it will harden up. To make a lip Balm, all you need to do is add honey to this blend!
Solid Perfume 1

1½ oz. Myrrh infused oil
½ oz. Clary Sage infused oil
25 drops Clary Sage
10 drops Patchouli
8 drops rose

Marine Collagen for Younger-Looking Skin
* Reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles * Fast growing, thicker hair * Healthier, stronger nails
Dual Action Performance for Skin
Skin-Support is our exclusive collagen supplement for skin nutrition that works to promote smooth, youthful looking skin, aiding with issues such as the appearance of spots, dryness, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles. It is comprised of two key ingredients. The first is COLLACTIVE, our collagen supplement that is a special form of marine collagen and elastin polypeptides with the same ratios of collagen and elastin found in the dermis. The other gradient is a very special form of New Zealand grape seed extract.
Users of Skin-Support can expect:
* Smoother, youthful skin * Reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles * Reduced appearance of cellulite * Reduced appearance of stretch marks * Faster growing thicker, stronger hair * Healthier, stronger nails
Grape Seed Extract
Antioxidants help to fight free radical damage in the dermis and grape seed extract is one of nature’s best anti-aging antioxidants, and the perfect partner to collagen supplementation. Grape seed extract is especially beneficial because they are such a good source of oligomeric procyanidins (OPCs). OPCs are a type of flavonoid that binds with free oxygen radicals in the human system. They have been shown to have 50 times more antioxidant power than even the well-known abilities of vitamin E.
COLLACTIVE Marine Collagen and Elastin Polypeptides
From the age of 25, your body depletes collagen at approximately 1.5 percent each year. By the time you reach 45, you will have lost 30 percent of your body’s collagen.
COLLACTIVE is a clinically-proven, highly purified, non GMO form of collagen and elastin polypeptides that exist in the same ratio as found in the human dermis – a combination of predominantly type 1 collagen (85 to 90 percent) and type 3 collagen.
How do wrinkles form?
As we get older, the matrix of collagen and elastin in the dermis is damaged by free radicals. As a result of this the matrix shrinks which results in the skin folding…thus creating wrinkles and a need for collagen support. To avoid this happening you must supplement the collagen and elastin matrix by ‘topping up’ these components, PLUS provide potent antioxidants to reduce the damage from free radicals. This is why we have added a potent antioxidant in the form of grape seed extract in addition to the collagen and elastin complex in Skin-Support.

Hi all hoping for some advice
Hi all, hoping for some advice… Found a 2019 black sage/breville dual boiler for £675. The machine was serviced by authorised sage service centre in January and has 4 months repair warranty remaining. The repair was due to a leaking steam boiler pipe. They also descaled and replaced o rings. Is this a good deal? Thank you Submitted March 06, 2023 at 03:28PM by dln265 https://ift.tt/NSDH03o via /r/Coffee

Advice on a dual boiler machine purchase
Advice on a dual boiler machine purchase Hello wonderful coffee people. I had a Breville/Sage BES920 and accompanying smart grinder around 6 years ago which was good for my needs at the time. However, it died on me and I moved to pour over keeping the smart grinder.I now have money to burn on a new espresso set up but having being out of the game for a while I have no idea where to start and what is good. I'm thinking first purchase should be a Niche Zero to up my espresso grind quality as well as still being ok for pour over. However, its when it comes to an espresso machine that I am lost and would appreciate advice. The usual suspects are in my list:Rancilio Silvia Pro, Bezzera BZ10, Nuova Simonelli Musica, Expobar Barista Minore IV. My budget is around $3000USD for the machine.Other than aesthetics (Rancilio falls short here) I have no idea where to start or how to start the decision making process so any advice or suggestions would be most welcome! :) Submitted December 13, 2022 at 02:48PM by ozmackem https://ift.tt/DIvxQiH via /r/Coffee
