speaking of grandparents . amaya’s grandmother, kogo, is still very much alive & kicking . amaya didn’t know she still lived until storm.blood when she met her in sui-no-sa.to . it’s not until after 5.0 that she approaches her .. kogo & amaya are each other’s spitting image ( besides horn & tail ) her grandmother is also the only other family member of such short statue. personality wise she tends to be described as rather friendly & warm but she will pour salt into your tea if you somehow annoyed her.

a few more lil things about amaya & do.ma .

her mother left her an entire wardrobe that is one of amaya’s most treasured possessions. 

her father kept journals from the time he left sui-no-sa.to up this death. the journals that he wrote while serving under lord kai.en are journals that amaya took with her during sb because they often included sketches of landmarks & maps.

after sb she probably took some of her parents possessions & buried them near do.ma castle.

she really wants to find the home she was born in, if it even still stands. 

if it still stands & nobody lives in it, then she would like to repair it & make it a home. she isn’t sure if she wants to live in it, but she just wants to restore it.
