today i was doing a life painting session and as i locked eyes with the model i was hit by the recognition that once upon a time (two weeks ago) i slept with this guy and the day afterwards messaged him with a mildly disturbing leonard cohen poem and no context then ghosted him because i decided i was too weird in that interaction. anyway i just blocked him because i got his real name when he was modeling so i looked him up online and found out he's "straight" and that enraged me at the moment but now i live in fear that i will have to meet him if he models again because you know what making eye contact with a model is not fun i'm trying to draw your legs and penis not your gaze. how is your day so far besides the boredom

god shoop baby. so the story of this is that i was gonna go to dress rehersal last week but they cancelled it bc they didnt have time for all the extras to get fitted so instead they sent me a costume briefing (pretty standard most productions dont even do dress rehersal u just get an email with a moodboard of outfits) and it was like a fancy party nice shirts tight pants cocktail dresses. but i DONT OWN A COCKTAIL DRESS or any nice clotes for that matter. so i put on my only black shirt which was my work uniform from my brief stint as a waiter so its not a horrible shirt but it is a mens oversized. and i came here. and they looked through everybody who wasnt already fitted to quickly put some outfits on us, and they gave me a note that just said "trousers can stay but switch shirt to a not ugly one"

i've never read the poppy war, but i've vaguely heard people talking about it a lot. was it ok?

its like. fine. the hype around it is completely undeserved the writing is ass and whatever subtle political commentary kuang sets out to make gets absolutely fucking destroyed in like 2 paragraphs bc she has no clue what subtlety is but the magic system is fun and its got some interesting concepts. like overall a throughroughly average book thats got way too much hype around it for no goddamn reason

i don't know if there's a mnemonic but in arabic the words for east and west relate to the position of the sun and the word for north is related to the word for left because if you are facing east your left side is facing north. so i remember it like this

why do you think they arent real?

i dont mean not real in the sense that everyone who has been diagnosed with say, borderline personality disorder, is faking for attention i think people who "have" pds are genuinely like experiencing rly scary and often debilitating symptoms but i dont think that like, Something Is Inherently Wrong With You Disorder is the answer to that. im anti psychiatry generally (although i need to do more reading on the subject that isnt focused on american psychiatry) and personality disorders are truly just like. kind of disgusting to me. they arent diagnoses that are helpful to that person in any way, putting disorder at the end doesnt negate the fact that youre calling someone in genuine distress who came to you for help a psychopath or a narcissist. its basically the "i dont wanna deal with you" diagnosis

Roast your chick peas in the oven with a little olive oil, salt, pepper and another seasoning of your choice (I like paprika and cayenne pepper). Then roast em at like 180/200° for around 35 minutes (toss them half way through) and you get a fun crunchy snack.
