Wake up.

Why wasn't she waking up? Mom you need to wake up! 

N'yami shook her mother's lifeless body she held in her arms, G'lewra wasn't responding to anything. The two were enjoying the fresh air outside while they waited for the group to return. Telling stories of how the Synch kids were growing up do fast. 

All while doing this N'yami could feel the tug on her mothers aether increasing, Yami’s own aether battling with the dark entity that had latched on to the Scholar a couple moons ago. Even with how much she was battling to keep her mother's aether within her body it felt like Yami was grasping at smoke, and all she could do was watch as it slipped between her fingers.

And then it happened. 

Without warning G'lewra collapsed, and N'yami had been quick enough to catch her mother before she hit the ground. 

“No….nonononono! MOM!! They're comin’ back! Dad's comin’ back to help! He always does! DON'T YOU DARE LEAVE ME!!” 

N’yami wasn't a healer, she didn't know how to fix this. She's just a damn blacksmith. Learning healing was pointless in her eyes because G’lewra was always around to patch her up. But now she was gone. 

The Seeker's breathing picked up as she felt the swirls of emotions erupt from her dark aether, red aether flickered around her while her ruby gaze gave off an ominous glow. A blood curdling howl escaped her lungs as he shouted towards the sky as the emotions took over, the pulses of aether coming off the Dark Knight becoming stronger with each passing moment. 

She needed help. Dad knew what to do with this sort of thing, Tynos wasn't a master of aetherical manipulation for nothing. N'yami fumbled with her linkpearl for a moment then let it spring to life. 

"I NEED THE OLD MAN NOW!" N'yami's panicked voice shouted over the linkpearl. She wasn't able to steady her breathing, quick and hurried breaths as her body was heading into a panic attack. "She's gone!” And with a final attempt she tried calling to her mother again. “WAKE UP DAMNIT! MMMOOOOMMM!" Her breathing became more panicked as she tried to think of who else was there that could help. Aislinn. "LINN!" Crying out to the hyur like a younger sibling that needed protection. 

With the last effort, N'yami clicked off the linkpearl as she cried over G'lewra's form, clutching to the lifeless body as if her mothers body would slip away from her just as the aether did. 

“You know how to fix this.”

She tried to drown out the voice in her head, the voice that always came to life when it was a fight or flight situation. N'yami’s body didn't understand the meaning of flight, and so this voice always came around to encourage the Seeker to keep fighting. No matter what. 

Looking up with tear stained cheeks N'yami saw an image of herself standing in front of her clad in armor that put the shadows to shame. Spikes jutting out in random directions, and the red aether made cracks along the armor to empower it. 

“There's one right here, and she's the cause of all this, right? Actions have consequences.” 

Xha.

A low growl rumbled through N'yami while her grip on G'lewra's body tightened while thinking about the ex cultist. 

“They're allowing her to walk freely, and yet we still lost someone. She took mom away from us. It's her fault. You FOUGHT with everything to keep her here and NOW SHE'S GONE BECAUSE OF THESE CULTISTS! They don't get to live!!!” 

The more the aether spoke to N'yami made the glow in her eyes brighter, with so much emotions you'd expect to see those feelings flooding her ruby orbs but they were hollow. So empty but yet so dangerous to look at. The look of a killer, and the voice in her head was winning. There was no one there to calm the Dark Knight. Usually she did so well to contain these emotions, use them to protect those she loves. But now one of them was gone, and she blamed herself for it. 

“She needs to die…” Her voice barely above a whisper and sounding as though she had just gargled nails from all the screaming she had been doing. 

“We can't lose more.”

“N'yami!” 

Looking from the aetherical form the Seeker's attention slowly turned to the new voice, and there she saw Aislinn standing on the other side of the barrier the aetherical formed had put around them to talk. 

All she could do was stare blankly at the Hyur before looking back to where her aetherical form once stood. It had vanished just within the few moments of looking away.

N'yami still held G'lewra close, but the barrier started to break into pieces, and it crumbled to the ground before mixing in with aether around her. She could hear Linn talking to her, trying to reach her, but it sounded so muffled. So far away. Her head lazily lulled to look back in Linn's direction but that's when she caught sight of Augusta carrying a limp Tynos back to the Heartwood estate, and she felt her world crumble all over again thinking that not only had she lost her mother but also the man that didn't hesitate to adopt her as his own. So lost in her own world crumbling around her N'yami didn't even notice how Riylli had stood in the background watching Linn talk the Dark Knight down.

“Alright, Yami, listen to me. I know what this looks like. Hells, I know what it feels like. Like the world’s stopped and the earth might as well open up and swallow you because you can’t see how there’s any way forward from here. Anything to stop this from being true.” Aislinn knew grief. Life had given her plenty of opportunities to get acquainted with it. She knew people liked to say it was something you got used to. Like jumping in a cold lake. But damn if it wasn’t a shock every time. “I understand but right now I need you to help me. We have to get her inside. Hey, Tynos’ll be alright. He just went and overdid it out there. But listen. You’ve gotta let me take a look at her. We don’t know for sure what’s happened and until we do we can’t give up on her. Right?”

N'yami tried to focus on Aislinn’s words, trying to hear them over the commotion happening within her mind.

“Ok…” she sounded so defeated but Yami knew she could trust Linn. She had become one of the Seeker's safe places. That rock a younger sibling needed. 

Her arms were shaking as she let go of G'lewra so Aislinn could do what was needed. While the medic worked Yami kept out of the way but kept close, without thinking Yami's hand had reached out to hold onto Linn's coat tail. She needed grounding but also wanting to stay out of the way. 

That aether.

Looking away from G'lewra and Aislinn for a second, N'yami saw the one she thought was responsible for all this. Xha stood in the yard staring at them, and all the Dark Knight did was stare the Keeper down with a murderous intent before she was pulled from her thoughts. G'lewra needed to be carried inside, and N'yami didn't hesitate to carry her mom inside for Aislinn. 

“The hunt can wait, mother needs us.”

Heading inside the clinic, N'yami placed G'lewra on one of the beds closest to Tynos. God's. He looked like shit was the first thing that went through her mind. 

She let the medics work, and stood out of the way but close enough to her parents to look after them. N'yami found herself mindlessly following Aislinn around the clinic like a duckling, clutching onto the other woman's coat when the Hyur was at a stand still.  She felt so lost. Mind numb and not knowing what to do so she latched to the next family member. 

“Oi. There you are, Yami!” 

Her head peaked out from behind Aislinn, it paid to have a taller sibling it seems, and there stood her husband Neville. There in all his smiling glory. 

“We're having a sleepover in the workshop, and I already got the kits set up. Better hurry before they take yer spot.” He was grinning the whole time while talking to her. N'yami wasn't sure how he was able to smile in such a situation or how he knew he was needed here. But before the Seeker left Linn’s side she pressed her forehead against the medics shoulder in a pathetic attempt of a headbutt, even with G'lewra gone N'yami remembered how her mother told her how Linn had issues with physical touch and to not overwhelm her with them. She wanted to show appreciation but still respect the boundaries. 

Slowly making her way towards Neville she paused for a moment before looking back at Linn, and a few tears slid down her cheeks. Not only was Yami's mom gone but so was Linn's. 

And N'yami blamed herself for not being able to keep their mom safe. 

Here she was falling apart where Linn was probably going through the same thing. How selfish she was being. 

Looking back to Neville for a moment she went to back to Linn for a moment. Her hand glowing a bright red, and when she opened her palm a flat stone almost resembling a ruby sat in the Seekers palm. But the aether that swirled within flickered between the colors of red, black, and purple. Almost mimicking a storm. 

“For when yer….overwhelmed.” N'yami's gaze shifted around as she tried to explain it in her emotional state. “I can…feel the emotions. A way to vent to me…without words if they become too hard.” 

Leaving the stone with Aislinn and returning to her husband's side she let him guide her to the workshop where her children greeted her. Falling into the pile of blankets and pillows N’yami gathered her children close to her, and of course her obsidian carbuncle Whackara that was a gift to her from her mother curled on top of her chest for pressure therapy. Neville had curled around his family to keep them close, he knew this was something N’yami needed. Thankful their wedding bands kept them connected aetherically. 

It took N’yami awhile to fall asleep, everytime she closed her eyes all she could see was her mother falling before her. 

“You need to sleep. A hunt awaits for us.” The voice returned to lull the Seeker to sleep. But the voice was right, and there was one thing that crossed N’yami’s thoughts before she finally let sleep take her.

The Hunt continues

Heartwood heads to the swamps of the South Shroud to look into flying morbols? And they somewhat find them, though more of morbols piloting an ancient golem, which is somehow weirder.

Zoronado Tatanado begins shadowboxing. Zoronado Tatanado begins a set of squats. Zoronado Tatanado: "Is everyone ready to rock?!" You nod to Zoronado Tatanado. Augusta Aventurine: "What do you think we're hunting this week?" Zoronado Tatanado makes a show of his resolve. Zoronado Tatanado: "Something nasty, as always." You smile at Zoronado Tatanado. Zoronado Tatanado: "... I still can't believe I missed out on the last hunt." Augusta Aventurine: "Just don't get crushed again, I dunno what I'd tell Leleni this time." You laugh at Zoronado Tatanado. Zoronado Tatanado clutches his head dramatically before you. Zoronado Tatanado: "Ahh... my footing was all wrong in that swamp mud." Augusta Aventurine just nosd her head silently at the Lalafell, a small smile on her face. "Well... you didn't miss much last time. There was an...unsavory fellow there." Zoronado Tatanado gazes upon you in deep reflection. Zoronado Tatanado: "So I heard. Leleni gave me an earful when I asked about it." You nod to Zoronado Tatanado. Augusta Aventurine: "Everyone was a little... miffed about it." Zoronado Tatanado: "Job's a job. Can't like every customer." You gaze upon Zoronado Tatanado in deep reflection. Augusta Aventurine: "Rising and I got hurt just so he could get a fix... and I'm not sure if he even paid." Zoronado Tatanado looks at you in surprise. Zoronado Tatanado: "Oh... that's what you meant by unsavory." You nod to Zoronado Tatanado. Zoronado Tatanado: "Well... erm... hopefully he told his junkie friends about how great Heartwood did...?" You are annoyed with Zoronado Tatanado. Riylli Aliapoh meets everyone as they arrive, her small golem familiar carried in her arms. "What took you guys so long?" You motion joyfully to Riylli Aliapoh. Augusta Aventurine: "Hey Riylli!" Rising Lotus looked over the swamp, not looking too pleased. "Ugh, of all the places why did we have to take one out here." she looked down to the swamp water from atop her rock as everyone gathered up. Zoronado Tatanado waves to Riylli Aliapoh. Vani Xetya waved to Riylli "Why'd you get here so early?" You seem lost in thought. Augusta Aventurine: "Watch your footing Zoro~" Zoronado Tatanado: "Bah!" Riylli Aliapoh: "Y'can only breathe in so much salt in the air before you start dyin' for the forest again." Lady Leni: "ZORONADO! WAAAIT!" Zoronado Tatanado looks surprised! Zoronado Tatanado: "Did you hear that heavenly voice?!" Zoronado Tatanado looks around. You are taken aback. You look around. Augusta Aventurine: "Leleni?" Lady Leni: "Up here you big burly oaf!" Lady Leni is frustrated. Vani Xetya: "Sea aint soooo bad, mean seeing green every single day gets boring!" Rising Lotus looked up to the source of the voice. "If you're fixin' on helpin' out get down here." Lady Leni looks at Rising Lotus in shock! Lady Leni: "A-absolutely not! Morbols are dangerous... I came to hand over Zoronado some things but when I came outside he was gone already!" Zoronado Tatanado gazes upon Lady Leni in deep reflection. You gaze upon Lady Leni in deep reflection. Augusta Aventurine: "I thought you liked Morbols Leni... and is that what we're hunting!?" Riylli Aliapoh: "Theres more than green in the forest! Plenty of colours all around, just gotta go sniffin' for it. Besides, even the aether out here is much nicer, so full of life! The perfect place for some lithovivimancy practice!" You admire yourself. Augusta Aventurine: "Thank the twelve I wore this armor... well my other's getting repaired anyways." Lady Leni begins to lower a wrapped package down by a rope. "If it IS a morbol I need samples! Of its blood and saliva. And make sure not to mix the two!" Zoronado Tatanado is deep in thought. You disagree with Lady Leni. Augusta Aventurine: "It needs to burn... as do all Morbols." Lady Leni: "This could be invaluable for my research on the tainted water problem!" Lady Leni questions you. Rising Lotus "We ain't even know if that's what we're dealin' with." she waved her hand dismisively. " Jus' 'cause the request said flyin' morbols, don't mean we'll run into any. Well flyin' ones anyway. So we'll be walking through this godsforsaken swamp 'til we find something that flies an' is like a morbol, or is jus' a morbol...or somethin' else?" she shrugged, they probably would know it when they saw it. You stare at Rising Lotus in fear. Augusta Aventurine: "A flying morbol!?" Vani Xetya: "...Stop making up words you! Now get y'er butt up on the rock." She swiflty stepped up on the rest of the rock. "Swear if I end up in a bleedin morbol im going to...I don't even know." Zoronado Tatanado opened the package and found two vials, one labeled B and the other labeled S. "Blood.. and spit. Blood. Spit. Got it!" Augusta Aventurine gives Leni a small smile. "I um... can't promise anything. Unless there are... incentives." Zoronado Tatanado: "Wish me luck, sweetums!" Zoronado Tatanado waves to Lady Leni. Lady Leni sees Zoronado Tatanado and blushes with embarrassment. Lady Leni: "Harumph...!" Augusta Aventurine lets out a sigh. "Okay... take care Leni!" You wave to Lady Leni. Riylli Aliapoh: "Litho - stone. Vivi - life. Mancy - magic. Lithovivimancy - Stone life magic. That's how you make golems! Though, in my case, the spell I've come up with is more like... enhancing a golem" Rising Lotus looked to the Miqo'te "You two ever hear of any type of flyin' morbols or anything? Some sort of legend or somethin'?" Zoronado Tatanado smiles in warm satisfaction. You beam with delight at Zoronado Tatanado. Riylli Aliapoh: "Legends? No, but they aint all that uncommon. Smaller than normal morbols at least." You poke Zoronado Tatanado. >> Zoronado Tatanado: "You and Leni are getting along really well huh?" You wink at Zoronado Tatanado. Zoronado Tatanado nods to you. You motion joyfully to Zoronado Tatanado. Rising Lotus: "An' they fly? I've seen the big ones out here, but never any flyin' seedkin like that." Augusta Aventurine: "Invite me to the wedding~" Zoronado Tatanado: "She's my dreamgal." You nod to Zoronado Tatanado. Zoronado Tatanado smiles at you. Riylli Aliapoh: "More like hover, but yeah. Seedkin can be pretty full of wind aether since they're plants, so every now and then they start flyin' about" You gaze upon Riylli Aliapoh in deep reflection. Zoronado Tatanado ponders over Riylli Aliapoh. Augusta Aventurine: "That... doesn't sound fun." Zoronado Tatanado: "Does that mean they fart for liftoff?" Riylli Aliapoh: "It's plenty fun! Great target practice" You are taken aback by Zoronado Tatanado. Vani Xetya: "Still a made up word ain't changing my mind Riylli!" She said with a teasing grin, reaching her hand out patting the little stone creature Rising Lotus "Ugh, smell bad enough when they wander on the ground, don't need one flyin' at me." she started marching off the rock, hopping into the, waving everyone to head out. Riylli Aliapoh if it's made up why the hells have I been studyin' it for the last year?" Riylli grumbles. Pummel the golem does not seem to react to the petting, though it does tilt its head a bit Zoronado Tatanado has to swing his arms extra hard to push through the waist deep mud. Rising Lotus was trudging through the mud. "Why couldn't this thing be not in the damp mud..." she was glad she at least brought her high boots. Augusta Aventurine walks along the swamp not too bothered. Except by the sight of a Morbol every now and then. She gives Zoro a little smile as she makes sure he makes it along okay. Zoronado Tatanado looks around. Vani Xetya: "People study lots of silly things, I mean maybes its like neat...? OH! Riylli teach me about that rock stuff after we kill this flying morba thingy." Riylli Aliapoh: "Hm? Y'wanna learn geomancy?" Rising Lotus found a nice patch of non swamped up land to stop. "Well it's pretty open out here at least, start lookin' 'round for anythin' morboly an' flyin'-y." Rising Lotus: give me a roll to search! Random! You roll a 755. Riylli Aliapoh: Random! 633 Rising Lotus: Well sorry guys I guess I found it xD)) Zoronado Tatanado is too busy trying to swipe the mud from clinging to his once beautiful blue cape to even look up for any longer than a moment. You gaze upon Rising Lotus in deep reflection. You look around. Vani Xetya: "Been learning how to heal and stuff! So figure might be handy to learn? Maybe? Plus I miss doing things with you!" Zoronado Tatanado: Only makes sense, Rising is the tallest Vani Xetya: ((Does that mean if we stand on Risings shoulders our rolls get better? Riylli Aliapoh: "Ohh, is Mey teaching you? She knows geomancy too, but obviously it aint the same as learnin' from an expert like me! I've been plannin' on stopping by the settlement soon, maybe we can do stuff then" Rising Lotus As the group searched, poor Zoro wouldn’t see much, distressed by his now soiled cape, and being generally shorter than the rest. Riylli and Gusta would both spot different adamontoises snoozing the muck, though perhaps one of them was just a big rock. Rising, with her tallness attribute, brings her hand to shield her head from the sun, spotting a poof of a green cloud wafting into the air. Rising Lotus pointed in the direction. "That looked morboly, or at least like the shite they spit up." it could literally be anything that spewed out a smokey substance. "Let's go check it out." Zoronado Tatanado nods to Rising Lotus. Vani Xetya: ((Puppy zoomies have been tamed so now I can be focused <3< You nod to Rising Lotus. Zoronado Tatanado flicked his feet, despite knowing he would likely be waist deep in it again. Rising Lotus | And so they marched on through the muck, heading deeper through the swamp... Rising Lotus: everyone roll)) Riylli Aliapoh: Random! 912 Random! You roll a 86. Rising Lotus as they wade through the murky water, Gusta would land her foot in a large dip in the muck bed, causing an unfortunate stumble into the swamp waters! Zoronado Tatanado smiles weakly at you. Vani Xetya glances over to the stumbled Gusta, making a mental note to walk a tad slower "You alright?" Augusta Aventurine grit her teeth, swampy water and mud all over her. Some even made its way into her mouth. She spat it out. "Uuu, disgusting!" She got back up on her feet shortly after. You nod to Vani Xetya. Augusta Aventurine: "I'm okay..." Riylli Aliapoh removes her staff and takes some steps back, gentle golden light glowing from the crystal as she points it at the muddy seeker. Suddenly all the dirty and grime on Augusta would be repelled outward, falling harmlessly to the ground. Can't do anything about the water though! You admire yourself. You motion joyfully to Riylli Aliapoh. Augusta Aventurine: "Thanks Riylli!" Rising Lotus 's stride was interupted by the fall, stifling a snicker as it was funnier when it didn't happen to her. "If you've got somethin' to drink probably best to wash you mouth out." she stepped onto another small dry patch, reaching the source of the dark cloud: a weird looking mushroom. It seemed to spew spores at certain intervals, and certainly wasn't a morbol. "Not even a normal Morbol..." she was resisting the urge to poke the murshroom. Augusta Aventurine nodded at Rising and pulled out a small canteen from her pack, filled with fresh water. She gargled and washed all the nasty out. You look around. Riylli Aliapoh gives a wordless thumbs up. She definitely just wanted to show off and look cool Zoronado Tatanado: "Damn... guess I won't be needing these vials Leleni gave me... I'll get her some samples anyroad." You smile at Riylli Aliapoh. Rising Lotus: "Riylli, you seen one of these mushrooms before? Is it poisoness or anythin'?" it was a gangly tall mushroom with a wide cap. Riylli Aliapoh: "Not really a mushroom gal." She says, glancing to Vani to check with her Rising Lotus: "Well you live 'round these parts." These parts meaning the whole shroud. Vani Xetya: "Fifteen Gil to whoever eats it." Vani met the glance, shrugging her shoulders "Doesnt seem like the type that'll kill you?" You gaze upon Vani Xetya in deep reflection. Zoronado Tatanado seems lost in thought. Zoronado Tatanado: "I've never seen an edible mushroom that was so... gassy." Riylli Aliapoh: "Yeah, and my knowledge of mushrooms comes down to 'Don't eat it stupid.'" She says, giving the side eye to Vani Augusta Aventurine: "I'd try it... but that cloud it was making makes me a bit nervous..." Rising Lotus: Everyone give me a roll!)) Vani Xetya: "You always listen to what they say in books? Maybe the nasty looking cloud makes it taste good?" Random! You roll a 105. Rising Lotus took her axe off her back and reached it forward, giving the fungus a few taps as it expelled more spores. Riylli Aliapoh: "I listen to my elders, don't make me tell Ava you're messing with mushrooms again" Rising Lotus: "How are mushrooms alright to eat when they spew out this shite?" The mushroom seemd to be tapped out as she continued to poke at it. Vani Xetya frowned, glancing around letting out a low hum "Do you all hear something?" Though the threat of Ava distracted her "Eh?! Don't! Already messed up this month by nearly getting killed by some angry magitek thing...in an area she told me not to go to..." Zoronado Tatanado: "It doesn't seem to be... aggressive. Should we just...? You know, chop it down?" You gaze upon Zoronado Tatanado in deep reflection. Riylli Aliapoh smacks Vani's ear. "Don't mess with that shite dumbass! You gotta start listening to people dammit!" Augusta Aventurine was going to say something, but then couldn't help but let out a hearty giggle at Riylli and Vani's antics instead, losing her train of thought. Rising Lotus Lowered her axe to the ground as Vani Spoke. "Hm? Hear what? She started looking around the perimeter of their little island. You look around. Vani Xetya ears flattened at the little smack "Im curious! Her tellin me not to go made me really wanna go!" She'd glance back to Rising "Something in the water...sounded kinda close...can't be anything big I think, if it was the morbol I think we'd see it?" Rising Lotus | Nearby in the swamp, the waters started bubbling and churning. Something started to emerge from the muck…three small sized morbols clustered together. They were much smaller than your normal bile spewing seedkin, yet didn’t look to be juvenile specimens. They hissed and snarled  at the party after spitting the swamp water out of  their mouths. You look shocked. Zoronado Tatanado is uncontainably jubilant! Zoronado Tatanado: "That's more like it!" Augusta Aventurine drew her spear, ready to do her part to slay the morbol menace! Rising Lotus found the source of the sound. "That I'm guessin'...pretty pathetic collection of morbols though, how are these little things causin' such a problem?" Riylli Aliapoh: "If you get in trouble, you know the clan won't help you right? We aint risking more loss just 'cuz you decided to mess ar-" She is cut off as her ears twitch, and she turns to see the morbol crawling out of the water. "...Careful." Rising Lotus: <se.1> !!![Something is happening! Please keep to banter!]!!! Rising Lotus | As they stare the seedkins down, the water begins to bubble and ripple harder. The Morbols started to rise higher and higher until they were even above Rising’s head, sitting atop what looked like a…flying vase? The strange disc the morbols sat on started to spin slowly as the vase hovered before them, an eye carved into the side starting to glow ominously… Rising Lotus: Picture of it in event discussion! Rising Lotus: And everyone give me a roll!)) Random! You roll a 351. Riylli Aliapoh: "Ah shite, that's a bloody mana pot! Everyone be careful, that's amdapori!" Zoronado Tatanado's eyes grow wide with awe. Zoronado Tatanado: "Awesome...!" Vani Xetya: "...Huh...Thats a first." She pulled her bow out, a confused look filling Vanis face You seem lost in thought. Augusta Aventurine: "An amda-what?" The three arrows barraged at the golem/seedkin seemed to anger the entity more, two chipping off more of the pot, while one struck one of the vines protruding out of the pot. Rising Lotus |The tentacle now with an arrow in it lashed out towards Rising, attempting to strike her away, while the pot’s eyes glowed once more, lifting stones from the ground and launching them towards Vani! Rising Lotus: Give me a roll Vani!)) Vani Xetya: ((uhoh Rising Lotus: Vani and Rising are both fine!)) Rising Lotus: Also since I rolled 900+, Rising's next attack will get a bonus 100 to my roll! She felt safe attacking, so she jumped into the air. Noting how the jar was spinning, she came down at an angle  towards it, aiming at it to knock another hole in it, hoping to break the thing. Random! You roll a 437. Riylli Aliapoh continues to charge her spell, adding bigger and bigger chunks of earth to the mound that now encompassed Pummel. With a heavy crack a piece breaks off, then another, as two arms lift themselves up and the proper golem stands tall, no longer the tiny familiar it once was. "Deck that thing!" Riylli commands, golden light still glowing around her. With the command given, big Pummel charges the enemy and delivers a heavy punch right to its center Zoronado Tatanado shook off the ringing in his ears and the blurring of color in his eyes. Blinking a few more times for added measure, he lifted his shield and charged, leaping high into the air (or as high as one would imagine a Lalafell in full plate could go) for an overhead downward slash at the cracks of the pot! Riylli Aliapoh: (Since theres no golem mount Ill use this Rising Lotus easily ducked out of the way of the vine whipe with ease, quickly hefting her axe around for a hard horizontal swimg at the midsection of the pot! Vani Xetya rolled away from the rocks that were flung at her, back onto her feet drawing another arrow taking aim again at the pot launching an arrow, then swiftly moving forwards Vani Xetya: ((Vani slips and dies <3< Rising Lotus: <se.1> !!![Something is happening! Please keep to banter!]!!! Rising Lotus: I mean it's techincally a golem of sorts)) Riylli Aliapoh: (Also Im putting a mark down for where Riylli is standing, she has to channel her spell Rising Lotus | Rising’s axe struck the side of the pot, causing not cracking but causing the floating pot drift in another direction slightly, only then to get slapped by Zoro’s blade, chipping off a few shards. Gust wouldn’t manage to make any more holes, but did cause a new crack to appear! Riylli’s lumbering golum however did some real damage, smashing one of the carved eyes to bits from it’s mighty punch! Rising Lotus The morbols all screeched from the assault, one closing its maw while it started to ungulated. Ir then released its foul breath, right into the golem’s face! She pointed to the monster before them, taking aim with her own arrow, aether staring to from around Vani,, loosing her arrow a blast of wind aether blasting the arrow forwards Zoronado Tatanado held his breath and dove into the water, short enough to submerge himself as the gaseous cloud drifted overhead. When he resurfaced he drove his blade skyward, aiming for the accursed floating pot once more! Rising Lotus let was about to bolt, but thought herself safe as the morbols decided to breath onto Riylli's golem. She unfortunately was still caught in the back draft, swearing up and down as she stumbled back, dunking her head into the water to wash it off her face as she started to wretch, why didn't she bring those goggles? Rising Lotus drops to her knee winded. Ziv Zorasch bit his lip with concern as he sized up their gangly foe at a distance. "I am reluctant to charge...Carmilla, use your choco ray!" Ziv threw his claymore on his back and hopped up on Carmilla, ordering the chocobo to open her maw and blast a hot ray of aether aimed at the morbol pot. Rising Lotus: <se.1> !!![Something is happening! Please keep to banter!]!!! Ziv Zorasch: "KWEH KWEH!" Carmilla's attack was punctuated by the chocobo's ear-shredding yawping. Finally the chance to blast at an enemy! Rising Lotus | Pummel’s fist plunges through the pot causing severe damage to the ancient golem…however the core wouldn’t be removed! It was stuck in place, morbol roots running through it! It was now locked in place with the punchy golem holding its core. Gusta would cause another scratch, but again nothing major to the vase’s shell. Rising Lotus | The Sword thrust from below would break off more shards from the hole that Rising’s axe would have started, while Vani’s arrow severed one of the tendrils hanging from the top of the pot. Carmilla’s beam hit another one of the carved eyes, rendering another one useless! The morbols writhed and squirmed, ALL off them preparing to spew their vile breath over the group! Rising Lotus |The disc they sat on started spinning until it reached a fair pace, and then they let loose, engulfing the whole area with their rancid breath! Rising is safe though as she was dunking her head underwater yet. Rising Lotus: Everyone give me a defensive roll!)) Ziv Zorasch looks surprised! Random! You roll a 846. Rising Lotus: Ziv Vani and Zoro get breathed! They lose their next turn)) Rising Lotus: <se.4> !!![Attack Resume!]!!! Riylli Aliapoh has her eyes closed as she channels her spell, yet she seems to be able to understand everything that is happening in the fight. She grits her teeth as Pummel tugs a few times on the core but cant manage to free it. "I... Just keep it protected instead! We got our hands on it, we can't let it go now! Give 'em a headbutt!" She commands, and Pummel's hands loosen up a bit around the core, though it refuses to let go. It pulls its head back and smashes it forward, headbutting the morbols that- Riylli Aliapoh -sit atop the pot Riylli Aliapoh: (oh no Augusta Aventurine covered her moutha s the morbols breathed their foul breath. She looked in concern as her friends breathed it in. Getting away unscathed, she took a leap back, placing her spear down she readies herself to help any of her friends that are in need. Vani Xetya was about to fire off another volly of arrows, til she was covered in the foul smelling beath, coughing as she tried to wander out from the horrid smells that surrounded and now covered her "W-Why the hells did we have to fight one of these things...!" Riylli Aliapoh flares with aether and her eyes open wide, the golems headbutt seeming to cause the entire thing to crumble into pieces. Riylli falls to her knees, gasping from the shock Rising Lotus was thankfully still dunking her head in the swamp water, if that was any better, to clean the first rancid breath off her face as the blanket breath hit the area. She managed to wash it off as quickly as it was put on, and raised from the water as the foul clous disapated. "Gods damn...pot? Plant?" she dashed forward, a little awkward on her feet as she still was feeling the effects of the breath, and tried to swing her axe down on it. Zoronado Tatanado coughs and sputters, feeling like his face was melting off! Immediately he bent at the knees and dunked his head into the swamp water before thrashing his head side to side, desperate to prevent any morbol toxins from wreaking havoc in his body! Rising Lotus: Everyone who has been breathed on also has -100 to their rolls for the rest of the fight!)) Ziv Zorasch yanks at the reigns to steer Carmilla away from the wretched morbol breath. Leaning forward, he gives his chocobo the cue to rush in and deliver a swift kick aimed at the hole that was being chipped away. Rising Lotus: Ziv ( and I guess his chocobo) got breathed on and doesn't get an attack this turn!)) Ziv Zorasch: I have a different emote then nix that)) Augusta Aventurine: lemme know if you need me to roll. While the Golem’s headbutt didn’t make a huge contact, the rocks still barraged it as it crumbled atop of the pot. Some of the rocks fell into the inner section of the vase, dragging it down a bit lower as it continued to float. Rising Lotus | The remaining carved eye on the pot started to charge once more, the earth around Gusta starting to rumble until it would burst from under her suddenly! Rising Lotus: Give me a roll Gusta)) Random! Augusta Aventurine was taken aback a bit as she barely escaped from the earth attack by a hair's breadth. She grabbed her lance, determined to end it all as she leapt into the air again. Aiming for the top of the cylinder with lance in hand, her target those little morbols on top! Random! You roll a 54. Augusta Aventurine: oof )) Riylli Aliapoh tries her best to recover, but she is completely drained and forced to lean on her staff just to keep from collapsing. "Still... needs more practice..." She grumbles Zoronado Tatanado arose from the water a changed man! "THAT DOES IT!" He discarded the needlessly heavy shield and gripped his sword with both hands, squeezing it tightly before lunging at one of the morbol heads with murderous intent! Rising Lotus would follow up her attack, or would attempt to, swinging her axe around her form to gain momentum and them swing it upward in another hard uppercut, looking to continue to shatter the vase from the bottom up! Vani Xetya was still coughing her lungs out, the morbols toxins doing its work within Vani, shaking her head she'd weakly try and draw an arrow before falling into another fit of coughing and gaging "Uuuugh...Riiiiiiyyyyliiii!" She mumbled out before falling back onto her butt Ziv Zorasch nearly coughed up a lung as his eyes and mouth watered with the horrific burn of morbol bile. He spat into the dirt, using his greatsword to help him stand. "Ugh. Bad day, bad day, bad day..." Dutifully hefting the greatsword, he clenched his teeth and delivered a hard slash to the side of the pot. "I hope this hurts!" Riylli Aliapoh: "I told you... to be careful..! Don't... whine at me..!" Vani Xetya: "You're...one to talk...!" Rising Lotus: <se.1> !!![Something is happening! Please keep to banter!]!!! Rising Lotus | As Zoro furiously leaped at the seedkin part of their foe, he managed to land a brutal blow to one of the gnashing heads, morbol blood spraying into the air. Gusta’s luck continued, making another scratch on the hard ceramic, but Rising shattered more of the bottom before succumbing to a bout of weakness and falling into the mud. Rising Lotus |The golem fell into the mud, the remaining morbols writhing and squirming in distress. Ziv’s slash managed to destroy the remained of the mana pot, the disc holding the two seedkin crashing into the water. Their roots to the core were severed, and the freed themselves from their perches and slithered off into the swamp, leaving their fallen brethren behind. Rising Lotus |What remained was the one dead morbol, as well as a tone of broken ceramics, and the core that still had the morbol roots running through it! Riylli Aliapoh: "Someone get me that damn core! But don't you scratch it!" You look around. Ziv Zorasch was more concerned with splashing his face with water, desperate for any kind of relief. Augusta Aventurine , being the only one who came out unscathed, yet not having done much to help deal damage, let out a sigh. Then she got right to work, picking up the core Riylli asked about as she stood up and looked around. "Does anyone need help?" Rising Lotus groaned as she pulled herself out of the much, breaking into a coughing spell. "Gods...did Leleni...give you anythin' if we got hit?" she asked Zoro, voice hoarse and crackly. Rising Lotus: *out of the muck)) Riylli Aliapoh rolls over onto her back. "Gah... I'll be fine... Just need a bit of rest..." You look around. Ziv Zorasch: "Gross! This water is muddy and contaminated..." Ziv Zorasch furrows his brow. Augusta Aventurine sat her spear and the core down on the ground before returnign to her comrade's sides. Augusta Aventurine: "You need help Rising?" Zoronado Tatanado didn't answer, his mind addled from the toxins. His eyes were wide and red, and he was clenching his teeth so hard that blood was trickling from the corners of his mouth. Abandoning his precious sword, Zoro was focused on the dead morbol, gripping it with one hand, while bashing its head in with the other, over and over again! You express your worry with Zoronado Tatanado. Augusta Aventurine: "Zoro!" Ziv Zorasch splashed himself with the cleaner water over thataway but still could not get the burn to go away. Looking over his shoulder at some odd noise, he saw Zoro. Ziv Zorasch looks at Zoronado Tatanado in surprise. Augusta Aventurine walked to his side to grab his weapon, she didn't want a crazed lalafell going nuts with it. Ziv Zorasch: "Zoro, get ahold of yourself! What are you doing?" Vani Xetya held her stomach looking back to Riylli huffing, then falling into another fit of coughing "W-What'd you even get hit by...?" Ziv Zorasch looked shocked upon noticing the blood in Zoro's mouth as well the intense expression. Rising Lotus wretched up a bit more as Gusta asked if she was alright. "Be better... once this shite has run it's course..." she wiped her eyes a bit more before looking to Zoro. "...We should've brought someone who can heal..." She started making her way out of the water. You nod to Rising Lotus. Augusta Aventurine: "I can't do anything about toxins..." Riylli Aliapoh: "Huh? Nothin', I'm too good for that shite!" Riylli grins as she rolls on the ground. "My spell just... aint really perfected yet. Too much aether leak. Couldn't handle it all... But I kep't it up longer than last time!" Zoronado Tatanado is attempting to drown the fallen morbol, before resorting to punching it in the face while he held it under the water! Ziv Zorasch looks at Zoronado Tatanado in surprise. Ziv Zorasch: "Zoro stop! Our target is dead, why are you--? It's no good, it's as if he can't hear us..." Ziv Zorasch expresses his worry with you. Augusta Aventurine looked as morbol blood filled the water, she could even see little bits of it floating up. "Zoro..." She took a deep breath. "We should restrain him Ziv..." She reached down and held the lalafell's arm, trying to soothe him and calm him. Vani Xetya shot a glare at Riylli "...You lil shite! D-Don't you know some healing stuff for this? Mey ain't got to that part yet..." She coughed yet again "Good job...even if y'er still being a pain in the arse." Ziv Zorasch nods to you. Riylli Aliapoh: "I'm a rock thrower not a healer! And... besides, I'm totally tapped. Don't have the aether to help you even if I could..." She grumbles Zoronado Tatanado yanked his arm away from Augusta's hand. "RAAAGH!" He snarled, before returning his attention to slaying this accursed beast! Augusta Aventurine: did Zoro get the berserk status effect? lol You furrow your brow at Zoronado Tatanado. Augusta Aventurine: "Ziv, get him from behind, I'll get him from the front!" Zoronado Tatanado: Yes lolz Rising Lotus was bent over, hands on her knees as she spat onto the ground. "Urgh...well lets hurry up and get back then..." she glanced at Riylli. "Get on the linkpearl at least an.." she gagged as she managed to stop herself from spewing agian. "...an' tell 'em to get the clinic ready." Rising Lotus glanced back at Zoro. "Someone knock him out... if he ain't stoppin'." Ziv Zorasch would attempt to secure Zoronado from the back, borrowing a hold from traditional Hrothgar grappling techniques that would prevent the enraged lalafell from doing any more harm to himself or the dead morbol. Riylli Aliapoh: "You're the bloody officer, you should do it..!" She whines, but pulls a hand to her ear anyways. "Ugh... Oy, whoever's on the other end of this thing, start prepping the clinic. And baths. These people stink so bad." Ziv Zorasch: "That's enough you! Stop it! Oh if only Leleni were here to administer a cure..." Rising Lotus "I would but.." she threw up again as Riylli brought up the stink. Rising Lotus drops to her knee winded before Zoronado Tatanado. Augusta Aventurine would use a hold she learned from her police academy- I mean Immortal Flames days to subdue individuals without hurting them. Adding on to Ziv's hold from the front. Zoronado Tatanado thrashed about with the strength of four or even five lalafells! Unable to punch the beast, he kicked his tiny legs out wildly until Augusta managed to grab onto them! Now all he could do was writhe and twist, snarling and growling until at last he seemed to calm down. At least a little. Holding him close you could feel his heart racing, pounding hard against his chest. Vani Xetya would throw up into the water, falling into the mud with a groan "Think id have rather lost an arm....uuuughhhh.....A-And no tellin Ava, you get that Riylli!" Riylli Aliapoh: "She got a nose, I'm sure the whole clan'll know..." You gaze upon Ziv Zorasch in deep reflection. Augusta Aventurine: "We may need to come back for all this equipment... Do you think you can hold him until I can get back to Camp Tranquil Ziv? I should be able to get some help..." Ziv Zorasch would be surprised at Zoro's strength and nearly lose his grip multiple times while attempting to wrangle him. But his pride and determination to keep the boy safe would not allow him to let go. Ziv sighed with relief as Zoro finally calmed down a little. Vani Xetya: "Ugh....swear this smell better come of after a bath,or ill have to sleep outside...!" Ziv Zorasch nods to you. You smile at Ziv Zorasch. Ziv Zorasch: "Yes, he needs a healer right away. And it looks like Rising and Riylli might need help also." You nod to Ziv Zorasch. Rising Lotus fell to her knees as the weakness coursed through her again. "Urgh... lil gobjuice..." she wretched again. "...Will take that smell off...jus' mix it with the soap.." Augusta Aventurine: "I'll be back as soon as I can." Zoronado Tatanado was still panting heavily, but at least his expression softened. "I'M RELAXED...! I'M RELAXED..." Augusta Aventurine: "Everyone, hold tight for a bit, I'll be back with help.." Ziv Zorasch: "I will keep an eye on Zo--oh you can talk now can you? Have you finally come to your senses?" Ziv Zorasch gazes upon Zoronado Tatanado in deep reflection. Augusta Aventurine waited to hear any protests, but when everyone was quiet, assumedly suffering, she rushed off to get help, not wanting to prolong anything, she ran through the swamp as quick as she could. Zoronado Tatanado: "Where... what happened...? Why does my stomach hurt...?!" Zoronado Tatanado clutches his head. Ziv Zorasch: "The morbol bile hit you and you went absolutely livid! The look on your face, it frightened me..." Zoronado Tatanado looks at Ziv Zorasch in surprise. Rising Lotus finally seemed to expell what was left in her stomach. "Alright... Once Gusta gets back we'll head out, make sure you have everythin'." she started to raised to her feet, pausing halfway through, the managing to get fully on her feet. Ziv Zorasch could not be fully sure that Zoro was back to himself after the intense rage he had just been through. Therefore he would continue to hold him for the time being. Zoronado Tatanado: "Morbol?! Where?! I need to get a sample for... er... ol'whatsherface..." Ziv Zorasch disagrees with Zoronado Tatanado. Riylli Aliapoh uses her staff to get up to her feet and hobbles over to the core. "Ah... So worth it..." Ziv Zorasch: "You are being restrained. Someone else can worry about that." Zoronado Tatanado: "Let go! Grr! Hrrugh!" Vani Xetya: "What's that thing even do...? Worth all of us smelling worse then a chocobo pen?" Zoronado Tatanado continues to wiggle and writhe, but with far less gusto. Ziv Zorasch: "Grr-! Not until I know you are cured!" Zoronado Tatanado: "Cured of what?! I need those samples...!" Riylli Aliapoh: "Well... In theory I can use it to make a mana pot familiar, but those aren't really worth much... I'll probably just use it for studying, then maybe I can make a real mana pot one day!" Rising Lotus | The core was very old, and seems to have no aether left in it. The morbol roots had bored their way through the stone over time, and seemed to be using their own aether to power it! No wonder why the small things were so voracious! Augusta Aventurine woudl return about three quarters of a bell later, with a healer and a couple of volunteers to help tend to everyone and help gather everything. She picked up her own weapon and with the help, tended to everyone as best they could. Augusta Aventurine: "I'm baaaaack~" Ziv Zorasch: "Just a second ago you were looking like a bloodthirsty monster! Logs from a hunt based roleplaying event! Rising and crew travel to the Fringes, something has been terrorizing the people at night! They say it’s the spirit of a deceased magitech colossus named Bellator that caused a ruckus a few months back, but Rising isn’t so sure...

Rising Lotus stood waiting for the group, eyes straining to read a map as daylight was quickly fading. "Oh good." she looked up at the group as they approached, tucking the map away. "Was gettin' some more infor 'bout what we're after. Somehow I doubt it'd be the spirit of a machine, even if it is the one I'm thinkin' off..."

Augusta Aventurine gazes upon you in deep reflection.

Riylli Aliapoh: "I'd suggest makin' a visit to Stillglade Fane. The teachers there would be able to help you get through a mental block if that's your issue, and if not then they'd at least be able to tell you what the issue is! If theres anything good about Gridania it's that place."

Augusta Aventurine: "The flyer did say something about a machine... is it a leftover Garlean machina from the war?"

Reille Halleina: "It's probably just imperial desserters."

Zoronado Tatanado beams at Riylli Aliapoh.

Ziv Zorasch: "I've battled many spirits any many machines but never the spirit of a machine..."

Ziv Zorasch seems lost in thought.

Rising Lotus: "Well, the locals are sayin' it's the ghost of a magitech that caused a ruckus back there sometime back, which I can only assume they mean is Bellator." she crossed her arms. "But we know his remains were takin' away..an' if he did, or does have a spirit, I don't think he'd be hauntin' people, let alone killin' 'em in the night."

You draw your weapon before Augusta Aventurine.

Ziv Zorasch furrows his brow.

Augusta Aventurine ponders over you.

Zoronado Tatanado does a backflip.

Riylli Aliapoh: "Probably a voidsent, the Twelveswood is full of 'em. This may not be the forest proper, but I doubt they'd care"

Rising Lotus: "Stay on you're guard, we ain't know what we're up against. I'm assumin' some sort of broken garlean thing, but we'll see. We're headed southward, to some place called Dimworld. I've heard it's swampy so try to stay on the path."

Augusta Aventurine nods to you.

Ziv Zorasch made a sour expression at Rising's explanation, feeling the power welling up inside him as his emotions simmered. "A populace terrorized. Innocent lives lost. Say no more." He reached into the darkness of his heart and conjured a katana for protection.

Riylli Aliapoh: "I wonder if a voidsent can posess a Garlean mech... I cant think of a reason why they couldnt"

Rising Lotus: "They're in statues an' stuff, so maybe?"

Ziv Zorasch: "It wouldn't surprise me. Voidsent have a way of working their corruption into all sorts of things..."

Reille Halleina: "It could certainly pass as a body by voidsent qualifications."

Augusta Aventurine seems lost in thought.

Rising Lotus looks around the swampy area, a light fog hiding most of the broken woods. "...well this certainly looks like some place you'd find somethin' like that. Wonder what happened down here."

Augusta Aventurine: "I wonder what kind of voidsent could possess a magitech..."

Reille Halleina passes by Zoro and whispers "BOO!"

Zoronado Tatanado smirks confidently at Reille Halleina.

Zoronado Tatanado: "It'll take more than that to spook a Bulwark Knight!"

Riylli Aliapoh: "I love a good swamp... Hey, you guys wanna see something cool?" Riylli asks excitedly

Augusta Aventurine nods to Riylli Aliapoh.

Augusta Aventurine: "I do!"

Ziv Zorasch ponders over Riylli Aliapoh.

Zoronado Tatanado ponders over Riylli Aliapoh.

Reille Halleina feels like this might be a loaded question coming from Riylli. "Suuure."

Rising Lotus | While it was still dusk, the fog and trees of the Dimwood make it quite dark. "Hmm...should've brought some lanterns..." she glances to Riylli. " It might attract attention...so sure. Maybe you'll lure it out."

Riylli Aliapoh needs little encouragement to show off, so with Augusta's response she eagerly rushes to the side of the swamp and pulls out a shard of crystal from her pocket. Those familiar might recognize it as the golem core shard she uses to summon her familiar. Her ringbands begin to glow, and she tosses it into the swamp

Rising Lotus: "The locals say they see red eyes in the fog before it strikes, see keep an' eye out for that though. Wheter they're eyes or jus', lights? Like from magitech?"

Augusta Aventurine scans the area around Riylli Aliapoh.

Zoronado Tatanado: "Careful... I think these are goosefish waters. They'll grab you by the leg and drag you into the muck if you're not careful."

Riylli Aliapoh waits there for a second as the water glows, then out crawls a little goopy friend!

Riylli Aliapoh: "Ta-da!"

Augusta Aventurine motions joyfully to the mudpie.

Augusta Aventurine: "That's a cute little guy!"

Ziv Zorasch looks around.

Reille Halleina: "Ah, it's a little mudperson."

Rising Lotus: "Hmm, would've figured it'd be to watery to do that. Looks pretty neat, maybe it can throw itself in the beast's eyes to blind it!"

Ziv Zorasch stayed on the lookout for potential threats--his green eyes darting alertly around the shadowy corners of the swamp which he otherwise found quite comfortable.

Riylli Aliapoh: "It needs a name, if anyone's got any ideas. The dirt golem I named Pummel"

Augusta Aventurine gazes upon the mudpie in deep reflection.

Rising Lotus: "Uhh...Rolling Filth."

Reille Halleina: "Hmmmm, Riylli, I thought you were trying to avoid water aether, your little friend seems a little damp." Reille sounds more than a little smug.

Augusta Aventurine: "Hmmm, how about... Squirmel!"

Zoronado Tatanado: "I'd go with Podorodo."

Atreus Sergius has logged in.

Zoronado Tatanado keeps a watchful eye over his surroundings.

Riylli Aliapoh crosses her arms and glares at Reille. "Not my fault mud holds water so well y'know."

Ziv Zorasch tries hard to concentrate.

(Riylli Aliapoh) (I like how Rising and Zoro gave race appropriate names))

Reille Halleina smiles patronizingly at Riylli, "It's almost as if aether works better when balanced."

Riylli Aliapoh: "Hmm... All good names, but none of them feel *right*. Lets keep goin' for the bounty, and if y'get anymore ideas shout 'em out!"

Augusta Aventurine nods to Riylli Aliapoh.

Rising Lotus nods. "Aye, stay to the bridge, by the looks of that fella you could get your foot stuck in there."

Augusta Aventurine concentrates on the mudpie.

Riylli Aliapoh: "It IS balanced. Earth and earth. How can y'get more balanced than that!"

Zoronado Tatanado is taken aback.

Zoronado Tatanado: "Did you see that?!"

Augusta Aventurine: "Hm? See what?"

Reille Halleina mutters to herself, "Honestly, I've met rocks more stubborn than that child."

A question springs to Ziv Zorasch's mind.

Zoronado Tatanado: "Over there!"

Riylli Aliapoh || The mud blob follows at Riylli's feet, climbing up onto the docks and immediately slipping through the cracks into the water below

Zoronado Tatanado: "Oh it's... just a goosefish."

Ziv Zorasch snaps his fingers, causing the inside of the Pumpkin Butler's head to illuminate and light up the way a little.

Augusta Aventurine looks around.

Reille Halleina: ((less stubborn ack))

Ziv Zorasch fails to understand Zoronado Tatanado.

Rising Lotus | as the group continued onward through the swampwood, they'd pass more broken trees, magitech long abandoned along with the occasional soldier remains. There was also the sounds of what lurked in the dark, animal or otherwise scurrying and rustling about.

Augusta Aventurine: "Hmm... wonder if there's any ceruleum left in them..."

Rising Lotus: "Hmm..nothin' but trees an' broken shite. Maybe folks an' chocobos are jus' gettin' stuck in the mud..."

(Zoronado Tatanado) This is the way

Ziv Zorasch closed his eyes and tried to hone his senses to reach out for any signs of a nearby dark presence.

Zoronado Tatanado adjusts his grip on his sword. "It's rarely that simple..."

Reille Halleina hangs back to see if she sense anything amiss with the aether in the Dimwold swamp around them. Or steps other than the footfall of their small party.

Riylli Aliapoh sniffs the wind

Augusta Aventurine looked about, for any signs of a big moving magitek device.

Rising Lotus | The groups searching would be mostly fruitless. The smell of swamp covered up anything too out of the ordinary, or perhaps there prey just lurked around here too much? There were a few piles of magictech scrap sticking out of the waters, a strange amount at that. The aether wouldn't feel to out of the ordinary.

(Rising Lotus) Ziv give me a roll))

(Zoronado Tatanado) "Legolas! What do your elf eyes see?!"

Rising Lotus | Ziv however would definitely feel something off! Coming towards one of the piles of scrap in the water...

Ziv Zorasch takes a moment of silence.

Reille Halleina sighs in frustration at sensing nothing out of the ordinary. "Maybe we should start looking for a bandit camp?"

Ziv Zorasch: "It's near. That heap of debris."

Zoronado Tatanado looks around.

Rising Lotus | The very heap would started rustling and rumbling, something started to raise out of the water. It was massisve, definitely the size of a magitech colossus! Two glowing red eyes blinked open and looked at the group, followed by a gutteral roar! It started stomping toward the group, and as the moonlight peeking through the trees hit their mark, it's idently was revealed!

Rising Lotus While it was a voidsent, it was...much less elegant than something possesing a broken piece of tech. A muud Suud must of wandered into the Fringes, using the scraps of garlean infintry as makeshift armor! It started lumbering toward the group, but luckily they were able to find it before it got the jump on them!

Rising Lotus draws her axe as the ground started to tremble, looking up at the giant voidsent. "Well looks like you were right!" she smirked as she glanced at Riylli. "..that is a voidsent right? With them glowin' eyes?"

Riylli Aliapoh readies her staff and immediately begins to channel, the muddy familiar sifting up through the cracks in the planks and casually spinning in mid air besides Riylli. "YEET" Riylli flicks her staff forward and sends her friend flying towards the enemy's eyes (hopefully)

Augusta Aventurine looks at the newcomer. "That's one big voidsent... and is that..." she squints her eyes. "Rusty, metal pieces of magitek on it? No wonder people thought it was a magitek."

Reille Halleina mutters to herself as she draws her rapier, "This is what I get for spacing out through X'rhun's lectures. Oblivious to voidsent."

Ziv Zorasch: "Wretched brute! Hold nothing back. If it is voidsent then I might be able to consume it once it's weak enough."

(Rising Lotus) Some special rules for tonight! As the foe is partially armored, any rolls 400 or under will be blocked and will do no damage! Although, if someone's attack manages to hit over 900, then he'll lose some armor, lowering the nondamage number!))

Zoronado Tatanado didn't hesitate to leap off the bridge to put himself between this unholy beast and his team. "RANANOOORRRAAAGH!" He slammed his sword against his shield, sending bright sparks all around in an attempt to gain--and keep-- its attention!

Rising Lotus |The mud golem hits him in the face, but the beast has been wallowing in mud. It seems unaffected.

(Riylli Aliapoh) fool, the extra mud will only make my familiar more dangerous

(Rising Lotus) Alright combat start! For those that wern't here last week, if you're going to attack give me a /random after your post!))

(Rising Lotus) It'll go ally turn, and then enemy turn, and then repeat!

Augusta Aventurine looked around and then jumped to the tree to her left. Bouncing off it, she dove spearfirst towards the voidsent, aiming for the unarmored parts of it.

Rising Lotus hopped off the wooden bridge, charging toward the beast with her axe barred. She veered to its flank at the last moment, swinging wise and aiming at it's leg.

Ziv Zorasch raised his greatsword high above his head with a deep breath, drawing on the dark energy that was replete in the swamp. The air around him grew thick with dark energy as waves of shadowy energy rippled from the greatsword and crashed into their enemy like a wave.

Riylli Aliapoh: "Go little guy! Try to get in its nose or something!" She calls out to her splatted friend, and those with a keen eye would see her familiar's face shifting around in the mud that covers the voidsent. Doing as it's told, the face travels up towards the nose and attempts to plug it up, being more of an annoyance than a danger

Random! Ziv Zorasch rolls a 535.

Zoronado Tatanado did his best to provoke the best, raising his glimmering sword high above his head (which would be waist high for everyone else) and setting the blade ablaze with a bright but silent and odorless white flame!

Reille Halleina summons a swarm of seven small aether rapiers around her. She twirls her rapier like a baton, then points it at the void sent sending her rapiers out to impale it.

Rising Lotus | The Iron Suud had its arms raised like it was about to strike, but the squirming mud trying to cram its way up the voidsent's nose caused it to stagged. While it struggled with the pint sized annoyed, it let out a pained roar as Rising's attack made contact, making a light gash against it's muscled thigh. It then was barraged with not only magical rapier lightly piercing its skin, but Ziv's dark wave of magic! >

Rising Lotus All of this left if perfectly open for Gusta's plummeting spear attack, her spear driving deep into the beast's shoulder. Using it's opposite arm as it screeched and wailed, it would attempt to swipe Gusta off. After finally snot-rocketing the mud golem to the ground, the first thing it saw was Zoro's bright sword, and bringing both fists together, it started to bring them down in his direction!

Augusta Aventurine takes a breath as she finds herself up against a tree after getting thrown back, her feet positioned and ready to pounce on the foe. She takes lance in hand and aims for the nape of the neck of the giant voidsent. (Or assuming there's armor there, some open spot)

Zoronado Tatanado had just enough time to raise his shield and brace himself for the double-whammy, disappearing in a cloud of dirt and mud when the fists slammed down where he was standing! When the Suud lifted his hands, Zoro was on his back, and halfway buried.

Riylli Aliapoh: "Hey! That's rude! How's'about I show you the fruits of my training!" She yells at the voidsent, then begins to gather aether into her staff. The mudsplat on the ground begins to gurgle and grow in size, more and more mud being drawn towards it including what remained on the voidsent's body. "Now!" Riylli calls out and lifts her staff high. With a flash of golden aether a humanoid form bursts upwards from the mud, with long limbs and a dripping grin. It attempts to go for a rising uppercut-

Riylli Aliapoh: THE ANSWER IS NO, and the fist fizzles back into mud as the mudman tries to throw its punch

Reille Halleina begins conjuring a ball of wind in her left fist until it becomes a small cyclone she shakes off her hand and it begins rippling on the ground beside her. She continues to coax the cyclone into a bigger and bigger shape until it is the size of Ziv. Then she flourishes her rapier at Iron Suud and sends the cyclone rushing across the ground towards it.

Rising Lotus feinted backwards after the suud attacked. Unable to get to Zoro's aid in time, she raised her axe high and lept towards its arm, bring her weapon down with all her weight on the voidsent's limb.

Rising Lotus | Raising its fists right after bonking poor Zoro into oblivion, it was left open to the groups attacks, Rising managing to give it another decent sized gash on its arm, while the dark slashes to its other leg caused it to stagged for a moment, but the beast's hulking form rose one more! The nape of its neck didn't have armor, but the natural scales prevented Gusta's attack from doing too much damage. >

Rising Lotus | While the mudman had heart, his aim wasn't up to par. The punch hit a piece of armor squaredly before it burst back to mud and the voidsent was unphased. The suud's arms were raised over its face as the wind gave it several little knicks, but with a mighty roar it broke the windy barrage! >

Rising Lotus | Squatting down for a few moments, it suddenly leapt a surprisingly high amount in the air. While it looked flabby under that armor, it must bepretty ripped! It Drove itself back down to the ground with a mighty crash, anyone in melee range in danger, while those in the distance would have to worry about mud and debris getting flung in their direction!

Augusta Aventurine grits her teeth as she felt the blow through her armor. It may have been pretty but didn't have quite the durability her spiky armor had. She found herself near the others. Not bothering to jump this time, she put all her strength into a powerful thrust, hoping to break the beast's defenses and penetrate its scales.

Random! Augusta Aventurine rolls a 984.

Rising Lotus was about to strike once more, but as her weapon was swung the voidsent lept upwards! She stumbled a bit, awkwardly trying to dodge backwards, but she didn't make it into. The impact shot her backwards, tumbling to her back in the mud with a groan.

Reille Halleina uses a burst of aether to dash across the field and impales a tree stump with her rapier before it hits Riylli.  Reille and the stump land several feet away from. Her sword is logged deeply inside the stump. "Riylli, are you okay?"

Riylli Aliapoh unfortunately (or purposefully) doesn't really notice Reille's valiant rescue as she is too focused holding her mudman's form. It was not a real golem, more like an enkindling of a familiar, and it required her to maintain a constant feed of aether that she was not well experienced in yet. The mudman looks sadly at its lost hand, and Riylli shakes her head. "Don't worry, you still got the other one! Go for a chokehold!" She calls out, the mudman nodding before slithering around the voidsent-

Zoronado Tatanado could feel it-- a sharp pain in his chest, right beneath the dent in his breastplate. He grit his teeth and endured the pain, plucking his feet from the ground to charge at the fiend to drive his blade into where its dangly bits would be!

Ziv Zorasch felt the need to press the attack. Having enjoyed the feeling of his blade sinking into the giant, he cleaved at the beast's leg again with a surge of strength as his Blood Weapon activated, channeling his very own life force into his sword arm to empower the attacks.

Random! Reille Halleina rolls a 387.

Rising Lotus Try as she might, Reille' sword remains stuck in the stump, looks like she'd be without it for now. As the beast lurched forward it was stopped by the mudman's arm, grappling with the golem and being kept distracted for Ziv to keep slashing away at the beast's side. Gusta's spear once again hit its target deeply, while Zoro would slip between it's trunk like legs and hit some soft spots, great cuts along its undercaridge now!

Rising Lotus the onslaught from the two caused more armor to fall into the swamp with a splash, it didn't have much left now! The party could tell its stamina was fading, but it still wasn't out yet! It thrashed around until the mud man would let go, and then threw it's massive claws around it's body, not aiming really but hoping to hit anyone unfortunate enough to be nearby!

Zoronado Tatanado didn't even realize he couldn't lift his shield arm over his waist anymore. He tightened his grip on his sword and went for a gash on the leg, choosing to drive it deep until only the hilt of his blade remained!

Augusta Aventurine tried to block the attack with her spear, but found those claws of his pushing against her, knocking her back a few feet. She was starting to feel the damage, but her adrenaline didn't let her stop. She charged forward and jumped. Now that it was tired out, she hoped she could hit one of its eyeballs.

Rising Lotus rolled from her back, coated in the nasty smelling mud. "Gods damned arsehole...that anyone would think you had any relation to Bellator..." she steeled herself, teeth grit as there was a bit of a red spark in her eyes. She charged back into the fray, letting out a battle cry as prepared to slam her axe down once more!

She mutters, then taps her staff against the ground to call out to the earth below, summoning forth her axe. She walks over to the stump that holds Reille's sword, lifts her axe, and swings it down to chop it in half. She makes no comment while doing this of course

Ziv Zorasch kept his feet planted, finding plenty of darkness around him to create another barrier. Shards of darkness like broken glass were scattered everywhere as the monster's claw shattered the barrier, just as Ziv wanted. Gathering the shadows around his greatsword, he plunged the weapon directly into the beast's lower abdomen.

Reille Halleina is covered in mud struggling to pull her sword from the stump, but the stump seems unlikely to yield it. Reille is shocked when Riylli joins her and conjurers a boulder axe to chop the stump. Reille is splattered in more mud in the process, but her sword is free. "Th-thank you," Reille says stunned her expression inscruitable from all the mud.

Rising Lotus the voidsent continued on despite Zoro's sword driven into its leg. Rising's attack manages to make major contact hower, cleaving the suud's leg open, along with, to her suprise, splintering the ground open near the voidsent's left leg. As it dropped to one knee Ziv had the perfect angle to skewer the beast, making through all those hard ab muscles and into it's innards. The beasts Screams echoed through the Dim wood until Gusta's spear pierced its skull.

Riylli Aliapoh lets her axe dissolve and walks over to find her mudball friend. "Nice job out there!" She says to it, reaching out with an arm so it can crawl up onto her shoulder

Augusta Aventurine searched for Zoro, having been too focused on the fight to keep track of him, she wondered where he was. "Zoro?" She said in a soft voice, the hits she took taking their toll as she looked for him.

Reille Halleina kicks an empty piece of magitek plating that had been part of the suud's armor. "I just washed my hair!"

Rising Lotus panted, a bit dumbfounded as she looked at the crater her strike just made. "...Well the spirit of 'Bellator' will haunt this place no longer." she stood her axe upright as she rubbed her back. "Everyone alright, Zoro?" she eyed the Lalafell, taking the major strike of the night.

Ziv Zorasch: "Damage report! Are we all in once piece?"

Zoronado Tatanado pulled his blade out and managed to sheathe it with one fluid motion. He limbed around the beast back to the group, and tried to wave to everyone with his shield arm, but his shoulder was lower than it should be, and his arm just kinda... swung a little.

Rising Lotus winced a bit as she definitely had ANOTHER bruise in the making on her back. "The locals thought it was his spirit..he caused a ruckus at the castrum before he died, when Florus escaped."

Reille Halleina rushes to Zoronado her field medic training kicking in, "Let's take a look, Zoro."

Riylli Aliapoh sighs, and reluctantly glances over to Reile. "Can you heal with that dumb thing or do you need to borrow my staff?"

Zoronado Tatanado: "And my ribs. A few of my ribs aren't where they're supposed to be. Stomach feels a bit wet. I don't know if it's mud or..."

Rising Lotus looked to Zoro and winced. "Eesh...well considerin' how big its fists were, guess you got out pretty lucky. Squishy ground to thank I guess?" she started poking around the crack in the ground she made.

Ziv Zorasch reached into his pocket and clutched the dark knight soul crystal as the sadness of it sank in. "How tragic to think...our poor old friend, reduced to this monstrous form."

Augusta Aventurine: "I don't think you shoudl move too much... I can help get that armor off of you."

Reille Halleina: "Don't need a staff to heal, but thatnk," she says softly to Riylli, "Let's see,Z." She hovers her hand over Zoro's shield arm and over his ribs sensing what is disrupted in his physical body.

Rising Lotus shook her head. "Nah, this ain't him. This was jus' some voidsent that was smart enough to make armor from scrap."

Zoronado Tatanado breathed in a bit, hearing a faint gurgle in the back of his throat. "Oh... my lung is punctured."

Riylli Aliapoh huffs. "Right, well, me and my friend have got lots more training to do apparently." She says as she turns away, giving the blob on her shoulder a poke. She walks over to Rising instead. "Thanks for the bounty! I'll be headin' out to Kugane tomorrow, but I'll let you know if I hear anything, 'kay?"

Reille Halleina presses a hand against Zoro's chest as soon as he gurgled and starts using aether to seal the puncture until she can find the bone.

Zoronado Tatanado: "... as long as no one else was seriously hurt, I did my job."

Augusta Aventurine: "R-Reille, I can use some healing magicka... let me know if you need help!"

Augusta Aventurine furrows her brow at Zoronado Tatanado.

Augusta Aventurine: "NO IT ISN'T MISTER! If you didn't come home, what would I tell Leni!?"

Rising Lotus nodded. "You see that hole in the ground I made?" she jabbed her thumb in the direction of it proudly. "Anyway, money will be in your cubby like always." she turned her attention to Zoro. "You gonna make the trip back to the Castrum, or should we get a chocobo to cart ya there?"

Reille Halleina: "We need a cart, Rising. Quickly please."

Riylli Aliapoh: "...It aint a cubby, it's a mailbox..." She grumbles as she walks off

Augusta Aventurine managed to keep it steady and focused hard on trying to keep Zoro awake and numb, as the doctor suggested. Not that she could focus very well but she tried!

Zoronado Tatanado: "I would have been mashed if I didn't come in this heavy plate...! My thanks to my smith...!"

Augusta Aventurine bit her lower lip. She wouldn't be giving up her armor anytime soon.

Ziv Zorasch: "In all the damage could have been much worse. Great work everyone."

Reille Halleina "You can stay standing," Reille says as her eyes flutter closed. She starts conjuring huge amounts of aether to move Zoro's bones back to where they should be, then starts healing his internal injuries to prevent further internal bleeding. This is where she concentrates all her efforts and after several minutes she's satisifed and little light headed. "All right, you shouldn't die on the way home. You're also not allowed to move."

Rising Lotus and Ziv would make haste back to the Castrum, and half a bell later they'd return with a Chocobo cart to get poor Zoro back safely. While the healers back at Oriens would be able to mend the groups wound's, Zoro was only put in a stable enough condition to travel back to Heartwood, where he would get taken care of in the clinic!

Augusta Aventurine let out a sigh of relief, it's dangerous if she exerts her healing magicka for too long. She was already starting to feel a little light headed herself.

RP Log: Riylli, Rising, and Cravs rethink a plan.

Riylli Aliapoh waves to Rising as she enters the room. "Hey, you finally made it!" She says, despite only arriving herself only about a minute ago. "Okay! Now we can finally start! The goal for tonight is to figure out a way to deal with that Rot lady! And maybe get a little drunk. But just a little, got it?"

Cravendy Hound sweeps a neat pile of sawdust into the corner and then disappears into the back to put her broom away. Contrary to Riylli's suggestion, she comes out with her arms full of bottles.

Rising Lotus walked in and immediately took a seat at the bar, leaning back against the counter. "Do you think it's a good idea to plan while drinkin'? Also you missed bar night last night!...well I 'spose you didn't miss much though. Slow night."

Riylli took her seat beside Rising. "...Wasn't really in the mood." She muttered, waving her hand dismissively. "And were only gonna get a little drunk, remember? Just enough to spark our creativity!"

Rising Lotus shrugs and give Riylli a dismissive wave. "Don't worry I get it, between Mivo an' Mayumi. Nothin' wrong with takin' a night to yourself, you were missed though." she gave Riylli a smile and a thumbs up, spinning on her stool after to eye up the selection.

Cravendy Hound: "A guy came in and showed us 'is lack of eye. Pretty gross." Cravs turns to open the cabinets behind her and places a stack of empty cups at the far end of the counter.

Riylli Aliapoh: "W...Why'd he go and do that..?" Riylli made a face of disgust at the thought. It was probably for the best that she had not been there

Rising Lotus: "Aye he did, looked super gross...though I guess Crav's asked him to show us, an' your not NOT gonna look at that if given an' opportunity right?"

Cravendy Hound: "I told 'im to! Wanted to know if it was just for show," Cravs laughs. She ducks down for a second and pulls up a set of ingredients - frozen pineapple, oranges, cherries and a bit of mint. "...I nearly died gettin' these pineapples awhile back, so. 'ere, I'll make us somethin' tasty."

Riylli Aliapoh stuck out her tongue at Rising. "No way, that's gross!" She grumbled, taking a swig of her bottle. She raised an eyebrow at Cravs' words. "...How do you almost die gettin' pineapples?"

Rising Lotus "They better be tasty if you almost bit it tryin' to get 'em. An' I suppose they could fallen on her, prick her with them pointy parts." she thinks for a few moments. "...do pineapples grow on trees? I know those hard brown things do.."

Cravendy Hound 's mouth sets in a hard line. She pointedly ignores Riylli's question and focuses her attention on juice the fruit.

Riylli Aliapoh gives Rising a worried look at Cravs' reaction, but decides to change the subject. "...Anyroad, all that aint important. We gotta figure out a plan to deal with Rot after all! So... Uh... Any suggestions..?"

Cravendy Hound: "They grow in bushes, actually."

Rising Lotus "So they ain't related to pine trees or cones at all then? Why they called that then?" considering she forgot why they were here before they started drinking, it looked like it might be a long night.

Cravendy Hound: "Well, speakin' in a general sense...we could do somethin' legal, illegal, or in between." Cravs pours a bit of pineapple and orange juice in a glass full of ice, and then dumps the rest of the ingredients in. Vodka, cherry, mint. "I....I don't know, actually? Just know the bush they grow outta doesn't look like a pine tree."

Riylli Aliapoh: "Focussss" She hissed at Rising, shooting her a glare. "Pineapples aint important right now! Aint you supposed to be the smart one outta all of us?"

Cravendy Hound: "Oy, and why ye gettin' 'ung up on the 'pine' part? What about 'apple'? Doesn't look or taste like an apple at all!"

Rising Lotus looks at Riylli for a few moments, the turning to Cravs. "... I don't know if that's a good thing, I mean.. smart enough to not do some of the dumb shit you to do I 'spose...but I guess that's jus' cause one of us has to be alive to take the other two home. Huh."

Riylli Aliapoh: "Wha-? I don't do dumb shite! You've seen my magic, I'm really smart!" She insists, immediately getting sidetracked as well.

Rising Lotus "...you're right... it doesn't taste or look like an' apple...an' I think we all only are smart in like, some very particular areas really. I mean I dunno, I never felt that smart...cept for like fishin' an' fightin'."

Cravendy Hound: "Oy, we're 'ere to talk plans, right?! So come on! Drink up, and get those juices flowin'!" Cravs pushes the bottles aside and deposits cocktails in front of Rising and Riylli.

Riylli Aliapoh eyes the drink suspiciously, but eventually gave in and replaced her mead. Her ears flickered as she tasted it, looking up to grin at Cravs. "It's good! I was worried it was gonna be all bitter like that other stuff you... Er... L-Like other drinks. In general. Y'know..."

Rising Lotus took a long drag from the drink, giving a nod of approval. "What other stuff you drinkin'? I mean I 'spose a lot of booze is bitter." she took another swig, blinking a few times afterwards. "...plannin' though...I think we ought to be careful, loanshark types aren't shy when it comes to doin' nasty things to folk they don't like."

Cravendy Hound: "Is knowin' magic a measure of smartness? Like, couldn't ye just use it on instinct? Then it'd be dumb magic." Cravs rambles as she picks up her own glass to sip on. She beams at Riylli's compliment. "Aye, can't beat a good fruity drink every now and again."

Riylli Aliapoh: "Of course magic is a measure of smartness! All the big mages are real smart folk, like that leh-vee-yur guy!" She said, before suddenly shaking her head. "Wait, no, planning dammit! I say the best way to get rid of her is by gettin' the law to lock her away, like Cravs planned. Just... think we should go about it a different way."

Rising Lotus: "I'm sure she's in the pockets of some of the Yellow Jackets though, coin is worth more than justice most the time. Used to hear 'bout it from my ma all the time growin' up. She'll weasel her way out probably."

Cravendy Hound nods to Rising's words. "Aye. The type where if ye cut off one head, two more will take its place. We definitely should avoid killin' anyone, cause that'll just make things worse."

Riylli Aliapoh glares at Cravs. "Of course were not killing anyone! Were the good guys, we don't do that kind of junk." She said, crossing her arms defiantly. "She can't be in the pockets of ALL those... 'yellow jackets' though, right? Just gotta make sure whatever we pin on her can't be covered up"

Cravendy Hound: "Lever-err...? That's the pipsqueak that was responsible for all that Crystal Brave stuff, right? Or was it...Urrre-ranger." Cravs rubs at her temples as she tries to recall. So much had happened while she wasn't 'paying attention.'

Rising Lotus "That an' we'll probably be arrested ourselves, along with what Cravs said of course!" she took another sip. "Hmm... most folks like her, place to hit where it'll hurt would be her wallet." she rubbed her chin "How many ways does she got gil comin' in?"

Cravendy Hound: "That was my main goal, actually. If people know she's sellin' stolen goods, then even if she pays off the Yellow Jackets, 'er reputation is sure to tank. And then, she won't 'ave the cash or time to mess round with Baldur."

Riylli Aliapoh takes another sip of her drink, clearly enjoying it judging by the way her ears wiggled. "...So how do we go about doin' that? Steal the stolen stuff from her? Or... Set a trap maybe..?"

Rising Lotus "Maybe get somethin' everyone will know will be stolen? Then when she tries to hock it she'd get caught?" she shrugged,  nearly draining her drink with the next sip. "Jus' need to make sure it's somethin' big...but somethin' she wouldn't recognize." she nodded a few too many times at her words, must of been a strong drink.

Cravendy Hound: "...if we steal the stolen stuff from 'er, then it'll just look like we stole it. And I don't think she'd be bold enough to try to sell somethin' that's well known."

Riylli Aliapoh: "...Then... What if we try buyin' somethin'? But set it up so the yellowjackets are there to see it happen?"

Rising Lotus shook her head "Naw, we'd never know if they'd be on her side or not..

Rising Lotus leand on elbow as she ponder, sipping up the remnants of her drink. "What... if...we trick her into stealin' from another type like her...someone more powerful?"

Cravendy Hound: "...It /could/ work. But she sells spice, so 'ow could we prove it was stolen? A bag of salt is as good as any."

Riylli Aliapoh thinks for a moment. "Well... What if it aint yellowjackets..? What if we used the wood wailers? Or the brass blades? Theres no way she'd be in the pockets of those guys, so... If we pull her out there with good enough bait..."

Cravendy Hound raises a brow at Rising's suggestion and thinks to herself. "Might blow up in our faces, but that's an interestin' idea."

Rising Lotus: "I mean that's an option, but she probably has a pretty set territory right?" she slid her glass forward towards Cravs, not so subtly wanting a refill. "It's have ta be somethin' big to bring here out here or in Thanalan."

Cravendy Hound: "Hm, well. Brass Blades ain't worth a penny, but the Wood Wailers might be stiff enough. Problem is gettin' 'er all the way out 'ere." Cravs refills Rising's cup.

Riylli Aliapoh seeing Rising do it, Riylli outstretches her cup as well for Cravs to refill. "Well, you were tryin' to get her attention with milkroot weren't you? I'm guessin' that's what that toad ooze was for at least..?"

Cravendy Hound pours Riylli a generous refill. "Aye, well...the toad ooze is supposed to be the bait. Somethin' that my friends would steal and then peddle to Rot."

Rising Lotus happily retrieves her glass and takes a sip, smacking her lips together after swallowing with a refreshed sigh. "She we still try that? I mean I 'spose we never got a chance to see what happened. Otherwise is there any other powerfull folks that we could trick her to steal from?"

Cravendy Hound: "It'd be more like, convincin' my friends to steal from someone powerful, and then hopin' Mindred buys it 'ot. Lady doesn't steal stuff directly...which means there's a risk that the blame'll end up fallin' on my friends instead."

Riylli Aliapoh noticably winced a bit as Cravs mentioned her friends. "W-What if I tried to sell it to her instead?" She speaks up suddenly. "She doesn't really know me, and everyone thinks Keepers are all criminals anyroad."

Rising Lotus grimaced at that idea. "I dunno, she did meet ya after all... an' you didn't come of as the most...knowin' 'bout business..ish." she hiccupped after getting to the end of her sentence, following it with another swig. "I 'spose if anythin' it is an' in with her..kinda..connects us an' Heartwood too though."

Cravendy Hound gives Riylli a long, hard look, and then finally shakes her head no. "Ye don't look the criminal part of ye ask me. And...I'm worried. Wouldn't we only be able to pin it on Rot if ye actually committed a crime?"

Riylli Aliapoh: "If she thinks I'm stupid, that just means she'll suspect me less!" Riylli insists, "I could easily find somethin' she'd want. I don't even gotta get it myself! Theres this little... Well... A black market I guess is what you'd call it. It get's pretty regular raids from the wailers, but everyone always ends up there again after a bit. If she's there when a raid happens, she'd get locked up for sure!"

Riylli Aliapoh: "I'm a Keeper. That makes me the 'criminal type' in most peoples eyes. Just ask Mivo"

Rising Lotus still looks a bit hesitant. "Do you think she'd go that far out Cravs? An' if this all happens, an' she does get locked away, how she gonna know that...err I mean, How is she not gonna suspect somethin'? She does know who ya are an' stuff, might send some of her lackeys after you, us, your clan."

Cravendy Hound picks up the carafe and tops of Rising's glass absentmindedly...pouring until it overfills. Somethings itching at the back of Crav's mind. "Do ye go to these black markets often? Riylli, do ye...are ye wanted?"

Cravendy Hound: "If we could get Rot to go to one of these black markets, it could just work. But I agree with Risin', it seems risky, and it could come back to bite ye Riylli."

Rising Lotus wasn't paying attention until it ran over her hand. "Hey, HEY!" she quickly reached her hand over to push Crav's hand back enough until she wasn't spilling, flicking her soaked digits in the woman's direction before sipping from the very top of her glass.

Riylli Aliapoh: "I-I do not!" She said quickly. "It's just... Before I started my adventurin' work... My clan didn't exactly have enough gil for medicine and stuff. So... We'd go sell pelts and stuff there... Gridania wouldn't let us sell with them, so we didn't really have a choice... But we never did anythin' bad! All our stuff was caught fair and square, no poaching or anything!"

Cravendy Hound: "...Oh, blast it." Cravs looks around for a towel to soak up the mess.

Riylli Aliapoh: "And if she gets caught up in a raid, theres no way she could blame that one me! We'd just... have to figure out a way to time it somehow... I'm sure someone in Heartwood must have connections, right? All we need to know is when, then we just gotta set up the deal!"

Cravendy Hound lets out a sigh. "Well, Riylli, ye sound used to dancin' round the Wailers. But if ye ever end up tossed in gaol, Risin' and I would be 'appy to pay the bail. Right?" She glances over at the other Roegadyn

Cravendy Hound: "We'll need a real good bait to lure Rot all the way to Gridania /and/ to a black market."

Rising Lotus "I 'spose it sounds like the most...thought out plan we've had all night." she shrugged, sputtering into her drink a bit at mention of paying Riylli's bail. "What? I mean, sure...long as it ain't way expensive or nothin'. How much it cost to be black market sellin'?" she cocked her head as she pondered what they should try to sell. "Well, what she like outside of her normal dealin's? Does she collect anythin'?"

Riylli Aliapoh crosses her arms. "They could never catch me." She mutters, turning away as she let the other two discuss bait

Cravendy Hound: "If the bails too expensive then we could..." Cravs punch a fist into her hand, and then cracks her knuckles. "...but, quietly."

Rising Lotus: "We'd need to pick a bit first before we go out an' steal somethin'." she glances around Crav's room. "...or maybe borrow somethin'? I'm sure we must have somethin' 'round here folks would want to get their hands on."

Riylli Aliapoh turned her head back. "H-Hey! Even if the wailers are mostly a buncha racist assholes, ya still can't do stuff like that! I said they won't catch me, the shroud is my territory remember? Even the Keeper's they got in their ranks wouldn't be as fast as someone who lives out there"

Cravendy Hound: "Anyway, 'ow we gonna lure Rot to the market? Sell stuff so cheap that she 'as to go check it out? Or, maybe if we find someone she trusts, and convince 'em to bring 'er there."

Rising Lotus grumbles "We need to get somethin' she's interested in! That'll bring her in, maybe tell someone she knows 'bout it so she'll come all this way." she took a long drink, mumbling into her drink about repeating herself.

Riylli Aliapoh: "Rising's got a point. Somethin' around here should spark her interest. She sells spice you said..? I bet Luma has some of that!"

Rising Lotus: "Or maybe somethin' really out there...folks with lots of money like weird dumb things."

Cravendy Hound: "Interest is one thing, trust is another...Rot's gonna be cautious, especially outside of 'er territory." Cravs crosses her arms and leans back as she tries to rack her brain people she could pull a favor from. "...Do ye think Momori might know Rot?"

Riylli Aliapoh: "Well... She seemed a bit sketchy, but I only ever met her once or twice. You guys'd know better than me"

Cravendy Hound chuckles a little when Riylli brings up Luma. "HAh! Bakin' and usin' spice is different from sellin' it! But...ye know. Haila might 'ave somethin' cool to sell."

Rising Lotus sneered. "I don't like the idea of ownin' her any favors...but aye Haila might have somethin' she'd be interested in. Or maybe some Gobbie stuff, sure some of that weird metal junk probably is expensive."

Riylli Aliapoh: "But he'd still HAVE some! And probably some rare Golmore stuff too since he's with Haila! I bet that'd get Rot's attention for sure!"

Cravendy Hound: "I'd gladly owe a favor to Momori if it means we can get Rot to come, cause I'm still not sold on the whole 'us sellin' crap to lure Rot' front. Wouldn't random people also want to buy shit?! What if she doesn't come and we just end up makin' a profit?"

Cravendy Hound blinks at at the mention of Golmore. "H-huh?! What in the bloody 'ells is Luma and Haila gettin' into...Bah. The less I know, the better."

Riylli Aliapoh: "Well... First we just gotta find out when the next raid is comin'. Once we know that, then we can figure out a way to convince Rot to show up on that particular night. Dangle some bait in front of her she can't resist! I can make sure it don't get sold to anyone before she arrives so she gets caught red-handed"

Rising Lotus "You know how she is, you sure you want that? Probably end up.. takin' one of your limbs or somethin' after sayin' she jus' needs a hand with somethin'.." she rubs her forehead " After the other day when all that happened I jus' wouldn't trust her."

Cravendy Hound opens her mouth, about to say something to go against Rising's concern...but can't find anything to say. It was true - the lalafell was objectively shady and untrustworthy. But it was those same qualities that made her think Momori would be able to pull the strings necessary to get Rot to show up.

Cravendy Hound: ".....Yeah, well, if she takes my 'and, then I can get a cool robot one."

Rising Lotus pounds her fist on the counter. "You ain't losin' your damn hand if I can help it!" she exhaled through her nostrils sharply. "Ngh..well if we are gonna go through her...maybe I should be the one to ask. She don't know much 'bout me, don't need her usin' your reputation in Limsa against ya." she drummed her fingers on the counter while she nursed her drink.

Riylli Aliapoh raises an eyebrow, but tries to stay on task. "Well... If one of you gets Momori on board, and the other gets some exotic spice, I can focus on finding a seller at the markets we can trust. Then we just need the info on the next raid's date! Momori claimed to have ties to the alliance, so maybe she has connections in the wailers as well?"

Cravendy Hound wags a finger at Rising. "There's no point in worryin' about somethin' uncertain! Damn lalafell might not even be able to 'elp us, so...Let's start by figurin' out about the raid and gatherin' stuff to vendor. The frog ooze can be our first product. I gotta get rid of the stuff somehow."

Riylli Aliapoh grins, clearly rather pleased with how this evening had turned out. "Gimme the toad ooze, it'll be real popular at the market since it makes milkroot crazy potent, so it'd make a great bribe to get a merchant on our side!"

Rising Lotus grumbles more as she finishes up her drink. "Well if we are gonna talk to her let me know an' I'll find her an' ask her..while avoided kickin' her 'cross the room." Her face was looking a bit flushes after she finished her second (and a half with her sloppy top off from Cravs) drink.

Cravendy Hound points at a barrel in the corner with her shoulder. "Ye can pick it up whenever. Just don't open it...apparently, agin' it makes it more potent, as well as smelly."
