hi everyone. you lovely humans. i really suck at writing messages like this but for the love i have for this blog and the people that support it, i shall continue on. god knows if i said ‘i’m bad with words,’ i’d be lying, but some words i’m better at saying than others. so, here it goes.

thank you. i just want to say something as simple as thank you because it goes a long way, especially considering corona took everyone’s lives and twisted it in the most unpredictable way. thank you for supporting me on this blog, it means a lot. i’m on here, spending my time to write for this platform just because i enjoy doing so, and i’m glad to share it with people who are so enthusiastic to receive content. without you guys, without my followers, i wouldn’t feel that sense of accomplishment after writing. because as much as i’d like to say i don’t care about interactions, i do, just like any other writer. it means a lot for you to say something as simple as ‘i enjoy reading your work’ because it makes me feel like i’ve managed to make someone’s day better through my writing, and that’s always what i’m going for.

to put it plainly, 2020 was a shitshow. as much as i’m an introvert, there’s only a certain point till which we all crave human interaction. and just like everyone else, i missed it, i still do. i miss it. but as much as i’d like to lock up the year in a box and forget about it for the rest of my life, i can’t deny that i’ve changed a lot. it sounds cliche, and yes, i physically aged, but i grew. i know people say ‘get rid of toxic people in your life’ and i always thought i should, but 2020 was the year that i did that. i’ve managed to see the world in different perspectives that i hadn’t thought about before, even if i was boarded up in my house most of the time. but regardless, i don’t want to go through the same emotions i felt in 2020, so i’m hoping that 2021 makes me smile more than cry.

anyway, i want to end this off by reminding everyone what i usually say to myself on the first day of every new year. it’s not something i say very often, though i swear, you all definetely say it to others than you do yourself, right? you never really think that it’s important to give yourself that feeling of satisfaction. but you accomplished something. you got through it. you did well, even if you think you didn’t. tell yourself: i did well, and i love you.

Will this be serious and heartfelt? No, because ew emotions. Jkjk, I’m just ehh with words. I really don’t know how to express that I am grateful for your existence other than saying thank you for existing. Thank you for allowing me to talk to you and thank you for taking time to reply back to me. I don’t think you understand how much I admire you. Most of you, if not all, are older than me, therefore I view you as a cool older cousin (that’s just the vibe). I value your opinions, they’re always insightful whether or not you realize it. Your thoughts are always something I love to hear (or read jfdklsa) about. With that in mind, I hope that you know that you can talk to me about anything at any time. Of course, time zones will cause me to reply a few hours later, but nonetheless I’ll still reply. Even if we’ve strayed a part and it’s been 432810 years since we’ve talked, I’ll still reply. Something that I’d just like to mention because I worry about it sometimes is the fact that I’m a minor. I’m young, I have so many things to learn. I don’t want that to hinder you from coming to me when you need to rant or if you want someone to talk to. I am here to listen. Send me a ten page essay and I will read each and every page. kathy my bb. Due to your current theme and bc I’m always down for sum badboy college au :) I wanna say a bad boy hyuck au? But in a college setting. you two first meet by accident bc your friend is in a frat and you had to be part of a project together so you walk over to the dreams frat house only for hyuck to answer the door. Now batboy hyuck tends to not be caught off guard but it’s you the person he’s been secretly pinning for most of the year so he kinda panics and gets really red. No worries chenle is there to tease him. But you still have to get your project done (little do you know this is all part of mark, jeno and renjuns plan tp get haechan to finally talk to you). So you end up waiting at their house bc rennin is supposed to be there in like ten minute, boy doesn’t show up. bUT you just spend time with hyuck and he asks you out by the end of it. Ree, my sweet bean !! My first thought when it comes to you is college au’s lol because you so good and amazing at writing them !! buT we WERE TALkINg ABOUT ROYALTY AU’S !! So royalty au w jeno omg. okie dokey, so you are both royals kinda. it’s a little bit enemies to lovers au whereas the second oldest (brother being first) you aren’t allowed to reign so bc of tradition (bad tradition) you have to marry into royalty of sorts. introducing lee jeno son of the lee’s who though not the strongest country are known for their activities and just tourism because their country is beautiful. you are shipped off to nct country to spend some time with your future husband. Now you don’t really hate jeno but you hate the idea of being shipped off to marry hence those feelings causing hate and aggressions towards jeno who is just like trynna be a nice and understanding bean (like he doesn’t want this either, and he’d just broken up with his s/o ). Fast forward three months and you slowly come accustomed to the place, learning about its government, and jeno begins to also warm up to you. Though you still don’t talk too much it gets better and you bond over the internal struggles that both of you have and slowly start to develop feelings for each other. but you still wanna have a say so your families agree that you won’t just be married but that you’d have power in both kingdoms kinda like an ambassador and im gonna stop here bc this is very long im soRRY.

Now I’m basing this off your username and the fact that we talked about among us lmao. Less go. So space au! With chenle !! For some reason (idk why just go along with it) there have been people dying in the spaceship. So the space ship crew the adults decided to make an investigation but don’t include anyone that aren’t “adults” but chenle isn’t having it as one of the people who died was his cousin. Now you two have best friends for a really long time so naturally you support him. So you two along with bb jisung who dragged along much to his protest of this being too scary for him and because he knew that chenle was in love with you so no way was chenle letting him out of his sight. Janna likes to hurt me w jeno but I don’t blame her bc has been just ok. anyways, sports au with jeno !! im thinking dancer au !! You guys have an assignment for your choreo class and are assigned partners that specialize in a diff style than you do. Jeno gets high key nervous and stressed af bc a. He’s an introvert and is awkward around new people and b. Kinda has a small crush on you, well on your style of dancing :) so you two are paired up, lets say your majoring in contemporary/modern dance and he’s specializing in acro and hip-hop. overall it’s just a cute lil thing and because the project is a whole trimester long ( so like 3 months ) you guys get pretty close and right as you end your performance on the day you do it on front on the whole school the ending is like a twirl type thing, and umm he leans in or you lean it and boom.

Elle !! She’s the sweetest angel ever !! So it only makes sense  for a Johnny holiday au !! it’s an established relationship and basically just a fluff of you two setting up decorations for the holidays, (idk if you celebrate xmas so ahh sorry) but like putting up a tree and lights, getting hot chocolate jamming out to xmas music. I can see Johnny trying to get you to slow dance like even during a hype xmas song and it being very cute and intimate only for him to just start like jumping up and down right before you kiss. Anyways it would be filled with cuteness and fluff and stolen kisses and occasionally taking care of mark or jae.

A Comfortable Christmas was the first one (ofc i’d post christmas drabbles in january even back then... the procrastination lives on and on... and Shooting Arrows in a Storm was the last one! ending 2020 with angst i guess, heh

i really like 1:16AM, even though it’s short! i think that’s when my writing started becoming a bit more angsty and... flowery? a style i like more

Last song I listened to: Currently listening to Röyksopp! Their album Junior is my favorite :) Has some really creative alternative poppy synths and cool features from indie vocalists. 

Last movie I watched: Hmmm, I haven’t watched a full movie in a while, but recently I rewatched many of clips from The Holiday (while plotting an au based off it, only to realize Mads @neonun-au had an identical idea hahaha! I love this twin brain moment) and 500 Days of Summer (I adore this movie and its realistic take on the toxicity / selfishness of motivations behind romantic pursuit, so refreshing for its genre). 

Currently reading: With a full-time job, I don’t have time to read books, so I just have a lot of fic content to read! All of my friends decided December was the time to unleash full-length NCT fics (I say with glee). 

Currently watching: Just NCT vlogs and lives! Honestly, watching the 90′s Love dance practice like five times per day hahaha.

Which new trope would you like to try writing? 

As always I’m going to keep up the good vibes with my really lovey-dovey guilty pleasure daydreams, but I’ve recently been thinking it would be nice to dive deeper into some of my hurt-comfort plots. I’m talking like revitalizing my old Kick it dojo (maybe in a 1 year since Kick It hoorah?), UN Village, and Renjun breakdown drafts ;) 

Which trope do you want to write again? 

I always will imagine confession, first kiss, and first time scenes, from here until forever, and I will always write them!! Nothing can stop me!! Also I want to get back into writing pwp for fun fhagsdkfj like meaningless, self-indulgent smut just for the hell of it from time to time, because that’s just so ~freeing~ 

Which draft are you most excited to post? 

Right now I’m working on a winter romance that carries the same development/pace as Pearlescent, so I’m really thrilled to get on with it, as Pearlescent was such a joy to create from start to finish! I’m always most excited for my current draft; I never make myself write something I’m not in the mood for. 

Is there any new genre you want to explore? 

I feel like a lot of my writing is relatively grounded in reality, very present in its actions, but it would be fun to pursue something that has a little more mystery or ambiguity, just all about the ~vibe~ rather than all of the sensations of the current moment. Perhaps a bit more figurative. ALTERNATIVELY: something heavily plot driven. 

Do you have a favorite line in any of your drafts up to now? 

I might :) But all I can think about for some reason right now are my two crack/humor drafts full of sexual innuendos :) whoops :) I’ll spare you

Have you decided on any creative goals for 2021? 

Yes!! I want to finish releasing the remainder of my coming soon list, and maintain a frequency of posting at least once per month, no matter how large or small, meaningful or frivolous. In addition, I’m preparing to host a collab for my 2k follower celebration, whenever that milestone arrives! I’m also in a collab that will release in August hosted by @xiaocvlts, so I’m looking forward to that as well! 

Describe your journey on this blog last year in three words! And three more words for what you hope for 2021! 

Last year: excited, transformative, triumphant (in that order; character development alert). This year, it’s going to be uplifting, empowered, inspiring!! I will think positivity into actuality!!

who did you first notice in nct and why: This is going to sound fanatic, but it was always Haechan from debut! For years it was this attractive disembodied voice, especially in MFAL, and then I saw his dance form in Highway to Heaven and realized it was the same dude all along :’) then I came to learn that he’s the playful, witty one and I was a goner, new ult.

favorite laugh in nct: It has to be Mark or Haechan, it has to be. Them at the same time, preferably.
