This part has provided and honestly confirmed an insight that's been implied occasionally, but never openly stated as much as this moment.
Arcanists are less durable.
It's mentioned a handful of times how it's important for combat between arcanists to be quick and efficient. While they can be physically strong even beyond human standards, their limits are far shorter in comparison. They're far more prone to taking physical and mental damage quicker with their quick healing/recovery to make up for it, but not change just how fragile they are.
This is very insightful too as to why arcanists would be more inclined to fight using arcanum instead of physically as much as possible. Their arcanum gives them an upper hand where their physical stamina is lacking.

Reverse 1999 Theory: What is "Perception" and how does it work in arcanists? (Ngl I'm very proud of this one. Bare with me and I'll blow your mind! This game is so good!)
Vertin canonically has uncanny perception and a deep understanding for arcanum even amongst arcanists, despite her lack of skill. Arcanists are very sensitive, or rather, vulnerable to emotions. There is another arcanist known for her perception we can look at for more clues.
Tumblr media
Mesmer Jr. also has a "acute perception", much like Vertin.
Tumblr media
In Reverse 1999, Perception functions like a 6th sense in arcanists. But how does it work? I looked up to see if there is a connection between magnetic fields and emotions. Turns out there is A LOT. Specifically the magnetic field radiated by the heart.
Biomagnetic Communication Between People (source).
We have found there is a direct relationship between the heart-rhythm patterns and the spectral information encoded in the frequency spectra of the magnetic field radiated by the heart. Thus, information about a person’s emotional state is encoded in the heart’s magnetic field and is communicated throughout the body and into the external environment.
There is so much cool information in this article I'd love to gush about, but we're here for lore. Remember my psychube post that I never shut up about? It's actually missing very important information that I didn't add at the time because I could not figure out how it worked.
Polarization:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The different frequencies are triggered by different kinds of emotions and we can see the heart being affected by the electromagnetic fields. My theory is that this is the key to arcanist perception. This is how they "sense" emotions. They are picking up on these frequencies. For a real life example from the same article, look at these graphs showing how the influence of emotions:
Tumblr media
Most people tend to think of communication solely in terms of overt signals expressed through facial movements, voice qualities, gestures and body movements. However, evidence now supports the perspective that a subtle yet influential electromagnetic or "energetic" communication system operates just below our conscious level of awareness. The following section will discuss data that suggests this energetic system contributes to the "magnetic" attractions or repulsions that occur between individuals.
Arcanists sense these waves and it can cause distress in them. Mesmer Jr. is a prime example of this. Other people's emotions get to her.
Now how does this tie into our beloved Timekeeper?
What if the reason Vertin has to stay "stoic" is because her emotions can influence the others around her and because she is extra susceptible to other people's incoming emotions. She needs to stay calm even in mental distress. Mesmer Jr. is also like this. She may come off as abrasive and snappy at times but she is described as a "an indifferent and refined machine" (Chapter 3: An Opened Sandwich). These two share a lot in common. They are both victims of trauma yet must operate in many emotionally taxing positions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They even say "engraved in the heart" (although this could simply be word choice it really fits)!
Both Vertin and Mesmer Jr. struggle everyday to keep the their feelings at bay. Neither of them is "used" to this life but they have to keep up the facade for their sake and possibly for those around them.
Tumblr media
The main story doesn't give us as much insight into Vertin's head but the traces do. She is always holding back, just like Mesmer.
Side note, do you remember the heartbeat we heard as Schneider was reversed? It raced. Interesting how later Schneider shows up in one of her dreams during Artificial Somnambulism. This could be an example of HF Polarization which generates strong and temporary mental images with very powerful emotions (assuming the heartbeat was actually Vertin's as she watched Schneider vanish). EDIT: This part is the most speculative as it could Schneider's too and the scene would still make sense. that 'assuming' is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.
This also adds an extra layer to Vertin's interactions with others. She tried to get through to Druvis and Schneider, but as for Forget-me-not and Arcana, she didn't bother. Maybe their feelings of revenge and hatred are so tangible she knew it was lost cause. However, Druvis was laden with grief and loss. She was not a malicious person. Schneider was desperate and motivated by love for her family. Vertin even mentions she knew Madam Z was not part of Constantine's game by the "look in her eyes" and never blamed her for the loss of her friends.
If anything seems wrong or if I missed something, please let me know! I'd be happy if I could refine it further.

Ecommerce
Ecommerce has evolved in many ways since its start, and it’s changing the way we live, shop and do business. Let’s dive into the history and the future of ecommerce.
7 Retail Strategies to Overcome a Growth Plateau
DOWNLOAD GUIDE
What is Ecommerce?
Ecommerce (or electronic commerce) is the buying and selling of goods (or services) on the internet. It encompasses a wide variety of data, systems, and tools for online buyers and sellers, including mobile shopping and online payment encryption.
Most businesses with an ecommerce presence use an ecommerce store and/or an ecommerce platform to conduct online marketing and sales activities and to oversee logistics and fulfillment.
I'm ready to start building or already have my own ecommerce store.
TRY BIGCOMMERCE
I have questions and would like guidance from an ecommerce expert.
TALK TO SALES
To fully understand ecommerce, let’s take a look at its history, growth and impact on the business world. We will also discuss some advantages and disadvantages to ecommerce, plus predictions for the future.
Types of Ecommerce
Generally, there are six main models of ecommerce that businesses can be categorized into:
B2C.
B2B.
C2C.
C2B.
B2A.
C2A.
Let’s review each type of electronic commerce in a bit more detail.
1. Business-to-Consumer (B2C).
B2C ecommerce encompasses transactions made between a business and a consumer. B2C is one of the most popular sales models in the ecommerce context. For example, when you buy shoes from an online shoe retailer, it’s a business-to-consumer transaction.
2. Business-to-Business (B2B).
Unlike B2C, B2B ecommerce encompasses sales made between businesses, such as a manufacturer and a wholesaler or retailer. B2B is not consumer-facing and happens only between businesses.
Business-to-business sales often focus on raw materials or products that are repackaged before being sold to customers.
3. Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C).
C2C is one of the earliest forms of ecommerce. Customer-to-customer relates to the sale of products or services between customers. This includes C2C selling relationships, such as those seen on eBay or Amazon.
4. Consumer-to-Business (C2B).
C2B reverses the traditional ecommerce model, meaning individual consumers make their products or services available for business buyers.
For example, the iStockPhoto business model in which stock photos are available online for purchase directly from different photographers.
5. Business-to-Administration (B2A).
B2A covers the transactions made between online businesses and administrations. An example would be the products and services related to legal documents, social security, etc.
6. Consumer-to-Administration (C2A).
C2A is similar to B2A, but consumers sell online products or services to an administration. C2A might include online consulting for education, online tax preparation, etc.
B2A and C2A are focused on increased efficiency within the government via the support of information technology.
History of Ecommerce
Ecommerce was introduced about 40 years ago in its earliest form.
Since then, electronic commerce has helped countless businesses grow with the help of new technologies, improvements in internet connectivity, added security with payment gateways, and widespread consumer and business adoption.
Ecommerce Timeline
1969: CompuServe is founded.
Founded by electrical engineering students Dr. John R. Goltz and Jeffrey Wilkins, early CompuServe technology was built utilizing a dial-up connection.
In the 1980s, CompuServe introduced some of the earliest forms of email and internet connectivity to the public and dominated the ecommerce landscape through the mid-1990s.
1979: Michael Aldrich invents electronic shopping.
English inventor Michael Aldrich introduced electronic shopping by connecting a modified TV to a transaction-processing computer via telephone line.
This made it possible for closed information systems to be opened and shared by outside parties for secure data transmission — and the technology became the foundation for modern ecommerce.
1982: Boston Computer Exchange launches.
When Boston Computer Exchange launched, it was the world’s first ecommerce company.
Its primary function was to serve as an online market for people interested in selling their used computers.
1992: Book Stacks Unlimited launches as first online book marketplace.
Charles M. Stack introduced Book Stacks Unlimited as an online bookstore. Originally, the company used the dial-up bulletin board format. However, in 1994 the site switched to the internet and operated from the Books.com domain.
1994: Netscape Navigator launches as a web browser.
Marc Andreessen and Jim Clark co-created Netscape Navigator as a web browsing tool. During the 1990s, Netscape Navigator became the primary web browser on the Windows platform, before the rise of modern giants like Google.
1995: Amazon launch.
Jeff Bezos introduced Amazon primarily as an ecommerce platform for books.
1998: PayPal launches as an ecommerce payment system.
Originally introduced as Confinity by founders Max Levhin, Peter Thiel, Like Nosek and Ken Howery, PayPal made its appearance on the ecommerce stage as a money transfer tool.
By 2000, it would merge with Elon Musk’s online banking company and begin its rise to fame and popularity.
1999: Alibaba launches.
Alibaba Online launched as an online marketplace with more than $25 million in funding. By 2001, the company was profitable. It went on to turn into a major B2B, C2C, and B2C platform that’s widely used today.
2000: Google introduces Google AdWords as an online advertising tool.
Google Adwords was introduced as a way for ecommerce businesses to advertise to people using Google search.
With the help of short-text ad copy and display URLs, online retailers began using the tool in a pay-per-click (PPC) context. PPC advertising efforts are separate from search engine optimization (SEO).
2004: Shopify launches.
After trying to open an online snowboarding equipment shop, Tobias Lütke and Scott Lake launched Shopify. It’s an ecommerce platform for online stores and point-of-sale systems.
2005: Amazon introduces Amazon Prime membership.
Amazon launched Amazon Prime as a way for customers to get free two-day shipping for a flat annual fee.
The membership also came to include other perks like discounted one-day shipping and access to streaming services like Amazon Video and members-only events like “Prime Day.”
This strategic move helped boost customer loyalty and incentivize repeat purchases. Today, free shipping and speed of delivery are the most common requests from online consumers.
2005: Etsy launches.
Etsy launched, allowing crafters and smaller sellers to sell products (including digital products) through an online marketplace. This brought the makers community online — expanding their reach to a 24/7 buying audience.
2009: BigCommerce launches.
Eddie Machaalani and Mitchell Harper co-founded BigCommerce as a 100% bootstrapped ecommerce storefront platform.
Since 2009, more than $25 billion merchant sales have been processed through the platform, and the company now has headquarters in Austin, San Francisco and Sydney.
2011: Google Wallet introduced as a digital payment method.
Google Walletwas introduced as a peer-to-peer payment service that enabled individuals to send and receive money from a mobile device or desktop computer.
By linking the digital wallet to a debit card or bank account, users can pay for products or services via these devices.
Today, Google Wallet has joined with Android Pay for what is now known as Google Pay.
2011: Facebook rolls out sponsored stories as a form of early advertising.
Facebook’s early advertising opportunities were offered to Business Page owners via sponsored stories. With these paid campaigns, ecommerce businesses could reach specific audiences and get in the news feeds of different target audiences.
2011: Stripe launches.
Stripe is a payment processing company built originally for developers. It was founded by John and Patrick Collison.
2014: Apple Pay introduced as a mobile payment method.
As online shoppers began using their mobile devices more frequently, Apple introduced Apple Pay, which allowed users to pay for products or services with an Apple device.
2014: Jet.com launches.
Jet.com was founded by entrepreneur Marc Lore (who sold his previous company, Diapers.com, to Amazon.com) along with Mike Hanrahan and Nate Faust.
The company competes with Costco and Sam’s Club, catering to folks looking for the lowest possible pricing for longer shipping times and bulk ordering.

The unsolved mysteries of the world illustrated through stamps and coins: part 1
Unknown, unheard and unsolved, the mysteries of the world are one most fascinating enigmas for mankind. These events do not have any scientific explanations and are a wide string of mysterious webs with complex and untraceable origins since aeons.  People who have witnessed these phenomena believed in it, but for the rest of the world, these are just fancy stories told to entertain local tourists. We can only experience these events, a mere explanation won’t justify them. Many countries across the world have acknowledged these mysteries of the world in their own fancy curious ways. They have illustrated these mysteries on stamps and coins to allure the interest of the people towards these unexplained happenings.
These marvels series is divided into a set of sixteen classified events across the different countries. It is divided into two parts, part one covers the Scottish mystery, fate of Amazon, lost island, etc.
So, without fail, let us embark on the adventure of the unknown through the help of philately and numismatics. Where you all will come across many questions! Yet, it will tease our explorative and curious nature and leave us wanting to know more about it.
    The Scottish Mystery: Nessi
A freshwater loch in the Scottish Highlands is lazily welcoming the first ray of light, suddenly there is the sound of splashing water and you can see a big shadow like animal swimming in the lake. This shadow is non-other than the endearing resident monster of Loch Ness, the adorable Nessie!
The lore of this Scottish creature is one of the most entertaining stories of the modern era. Nessie appeared on the souvenir sheet (image a) of Maldives Island, they issued this stamp in 1993. This sheet represented Nessie in a plesiosaur form, an ocean reptile during the age of the dinosaur.
This lovable creature of Loch Ness is so famous that royal mint has also illustrated it on a nickel plated steel 10 pence coin (image c). This coin was issued in 2018 and featured Nessie on its reverse side. This coin is the part of 26 designs featuring and celebrating British life.
This beautiful silver coin seen in image b depicts Nessie in a very ferocious form. This stunning 1000 franc Burkina Faso was issued in 2017. It was the third coin released in the mythical creature series.
The lore of the resident monster of Loch Ness became famous in 1933 when a couple passing by the lake saw a creature playing along with the shore. Many searching parties explored the area around the lake, but the evidence of such a creature’s existence was never found. Till date, it’s a mystery if such a creature exists in Loch Ness or it was just an illusion, we will never know.
The second story of this adventure is The Ghosts in old castles:
The stories of Ghost are quite common among the different societies and cultures across the globe. These stories are told to entertain people during a cold night in the front of the bonfire with an added benefit of roasted marshmallows.
Amongst all these tattle tales and the rumours of the ghost of London tower, the story of Anne Boleyn’s ghost is the most enduring. It’s also the most travelled ghost in the history of ghost lore’s, due to its supposed appearance in various old castles across the United Kingdom.
The mysteries of the world series of Maldives post issued a souvenir sheet (image d) illustrating the lady of London tower in 1993. The London tower is the place where Anne Boleyn, the Second wife of King Henry VII of England was executed for treason.  It is rumoured that she is seen in many places with different attires like a blue dress or wearing loin cloths and staring down from a window, and sometimes strolling in a garden and so on.
The stamp in image e that Canada Post issued in 2014 brings alive the Ghost bride of the Banff Spring Hotel. This stamp depicts the unnerving image of women staring straight at you, it is said that this bride Ghost died on her wedding day. The Canada Post has issued a series of the stamp depicting various haunting lore from the different place in Canada. This country is a fan of haunting stories and mysteries; it’s like a popular culture there.
    The next mysteries of this grand journey are;
The lost island and the great triangle:
It’s a captivating thought, that is Atlantis real or it is an imagination of Plato, there are so many questions about Atlantis without any answers. This lost Island of Atlantis is the most debated and interesting subject discussed between the historian and history fanatics. The existence of Atlantis is one of the biggest mysteries of the world.
This island is beautifully depicted in the gold 5 dollars (image A) of Fiji in 2006. This coin was the part of Famous landscape formation series. The obverse of this coin depicts legend ‘Atlantis lost Island’ with a broken temple in the centre.
The souvenir sheet (image b) of Maldives depicts this lost Island of Atlantis with a stamp depicting the bust of Plato.
The image c depicts yet another great unsolved mystery of the Ocean, the Bermuda triangle! This stamp was issued by the Maldives Post. It is the part of the Mysteries of Universe series issued in 1993. This famous region is suited in the Atlantic Ocean and is famous for the loss of many ships and planes in this area.
The accidents that occur here are unexplained and no one knows about the fate of the lost planes and ships.  In 1998, Cooks Island issued a triangle shaped sterling silver three dollar coin (image d), and in 1996 a gold 60 dollar triangle shape coins that depicted the Bermuda mystery.
    The end of this long analysis is coming and with it comes the second last mysteries of this fabulous journey;
The disaster of Hindenburg and Ghost ship Marie Celeste:
On May 6, 1937, the German Zeppelin Hindenburg exploded into flames and crashed while approaching its mooring tower in Lakehurst, New Jersey. There are many plausible causes of these disasters, but the real reason for this tragedy is still unknown. This tragedy took many lives and remains as one of the mysterious disasters till today.
The Maldives Post issued a souvenir sheet (image a) in 1992 depicting this tragedy also known as the explosion of the Hindenburg. The second stamp (image b) depicted by Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in 2000 depicted the flames of the airship. This airship was depicted on the airmail stamps of Germany, the gold foil stamp of Chad in 1983 and also of Greece, Finland, Italy, etc.  The tragedy of this airship is quite known and unanswered till today.
The second mysteries of the World in this image is of Ghost Ship called Marie Celeste also known as Amazon, it is depicted on the sheet stamp of Maldives (image c). This ship was found adrift in the Atlantis Ocean without its crew.
This ship was also depicted on the gold coin (Image d) issued by Canada mint in 2016. It was the most famous wooden sailing ship, one of the first vessels built at Spencer Island. Yet, it is known as the Mary Celeste the inexplicable mysteries of the high sea. When this ship was found lonely in the wide sea without any crew member on board, the circumstance in which all it’s happened in unknown. None of the crew members was reported or found again, their fate remained is unknown to the world until today.
  At the end of this adventurous journey, the last mysteries are;
The being in the Himalayan Mountains and the unknown spaceships:
One of the greatest mysteries of the Himalayan Mountains is the hairy white hominid inhabitant called Yeti. It is claimed by many mountaineers and trekkers that they have seen Yeti. Many stories around the world talk about a long-haired being roaming in the forest hiding for the modern men, adds more spice to its mystery.
Maldives post has issued a souvenir stamp (image a) depicting the footprint of a Yeti on snow. This stamp is a part of the mysteries of the universe series. The second triangular stamp (image b) was issued by the Bhutan Post issued in 1966.
There are many songs of yeti describing it as a lonely figure hiding from the modern world. This song also warns Yeti to hide and run and be a mystery. It good that this song tells yeti to hide because let’s face it, what will this world be without mysteries like the Yeti’s!
The last mystery is the greatest of all, one which is a dicey argument.  The sighting of the UFO across the globe, the mystery of UFO is like Ghost stories hard to believe, but fascinating to hear.
UFO’s have appeared on many countries stamps like the souvenir sheet (image c) of the Maldives, issued in 1993. This stamp is based on the story of Kenneth Arnold; he saw nine discs shaped aircraft moving at tremendous speed in 1947 over Washington State. The second stamp (image d) was issued by Tanzania Post in 1999 based on the same story. Maldives Post also issued a sheet in 1992 based on the report of four army officers flying near Columbus, Ohio who collided with Unknown Vehicle.
Different countries in the world have issued stamps depicting UFO-like Turkmenistan, Germany, Equatorial Guinea, etc.
The mysteries of the world are one of the fascinating subjects for study, debate and research. These are the never-ending topics with many possibilities. We never knew where we will reach and what waits for us there. These incidences are famous because they are not seen by many and do not have any proof of its existence. Some of these incidents have taken place without any proper explanation.
These mysteries are like the games of assumptions. It’s like a game of dice we never know what new facts or theory we will read about these different mysterious occurrences. These mysteries are lore do not have morals at the end because there is no end to this stories.  Maybe these stories are not yet complete there more things to discover, we may never know.
In this part only eight mysteries of the world are discussed, more will be coming to engage you all in this exciting exploits. Stay in touch and wait for the next great adventures with the mysteries of the world.

Arcanist's "Perception" & The Unseen World
Hello! I'm back at it again with a fascinating look into analyzing new information from the recent event in global that help solidify certain headcanons and theories I have about arcanist genetics/behavior and how much more they're different from humans.
It focuses on the Meditator's Realm and how it supports something I've already had assumptions on and that is:
Arcanists can tangibly see and interact with things others, mostly humans, can't. This apply to other arcanists as well even if some can theoretically perceive them.
This is a long read, so take your time.
Let's start with what I mean by their perception creating tangibility on what an arcanist can see and interact with. Arcanists are highly sensitive to strong emotions and their thought process works differently on how they manage it. Using Kaalaa Baunaa as an example, we can see how she manifests stress and anxiety as a literal monster stalking her with the proposal papers as its "anchor" or main source of the strong emotions:
Tumblr media
This is one of the many ways arcanists "perceive" emotions that makes sense to them and through Deep Meditative Thought (Gnosis), they can compartmentalize it into a more coherent structure that would be more similar to how humans deal with strong emotional response without it manifesting into strong "hallucinations."
But are they really hallucinations?
Tumblr media
Not quite. While the emotional state can be seen as delusions, they're very much real to arcanists for one specific reason: Their core. I forgot the actual term they use for it (it could actually just be Gnosis honestly), but one of the biggest biological difference between humans and arcanists is that arcanists apparently have some kind of stone in their brain that's theorized to be the deciding factor of how they can use arcanum and "perceive" wild things.
But the "delusions", according to humans, are actual solid things the arcanists can interact with. They're tangible and real, but invisible to the naked eye with only a particular set of individuals being able to "see" them. These unseeing things becomes what's known as "myths" or "cryptids" to humans. But even arcanists find it hard to perceive these things as they're not specialized in it.
We can see this in Tooth Fairy.
Tumblr media
While other arcanists can see the tooth fairies in her jar (which has unique properties meant to contain them), the "other fairies" that surround her constantly and more freely are invisible to them both in sight and hearing.
This leads me to believe that each arcanists see many "unseen things" differently and purely based on their skills and capabilities, but have the potential to "see" what other arcanists see either with the right tools (anchor) or enough practice.
People who try to "perceive" these things without proper training or equipment to "observe" them carefully can lead to a lot of mental distress, even insanity. Commonly humans because:
Tumblr media
Humans are creatures that go by the motto of "Fact over fiction" or "Seeing is believing", but when actually facing the truth of things, they buckle under the pressure.
But that doesn't mean arcanists are immune to these effects either.
Tumblr media
This is one of Baby Blue's "items" that she brought back from "Wonderland" and it's unstable and imperfect. Even UTTU's arcanist staff slowly lose the sense to properly "perceive" the item if they look too long both because it's incomplete and it's an "unseen thing" that only Baby Blue has fully deciphered in her head. It's a tangible, solid shape to her, but a confusing distorted attempt to mimic the real thing to others. It could also be due to the fact it's not from their world, but from "Wonderland", a place slightly different from their own.
But how did she manage to bring it into reality that even untrained arcanist eyes can "perceive" it with only minor consequences of lengthy observation to it?
This is where the Meditator's Realm comes into play.
Tumblr media
It's described as a Realm that "mirrors" reality that can be entered through a special meditative form and connects the Deep Thought (Gnosis) of arcanists to it, allowing them to explore and interact with it to some degree.
Tumblr media
Kaalaa Baunaa even compares it to dreaming, but more specifically she's referring to what humans call Lucid Dreaming. It's a form of astral projection where the soul disconnects from the body after entering REM sleep. A deep meditative state achieved through sleep. This is further supported from Baby Blue's interview about "Wonderland":
Tumblr media
The implication is staggering as this could mean that even humans can enter this realm through lucid dreaming, but can't achieve as great of an influence there as arcanists who are naturally born to view everything in reality as different. The Meditator's Realm could be proof of a parallel world anyone can access with enough skill and resources.
Like the Manus Vindictae.
Their goals for wanting to reverse the world is still unknown, but with the new insight about the Meditator's Realm, we can speculate that how the Storm operates is through the collapse and bridging between "Reality" and a "Mirrored Reality." And with the Manus' intention of "bringing the world to the right course of history", the possibility of them selecting one of these parallel worlds and attempt to merge it with theirs by "erasing" parts to later glue fragments from another into it is more and more possible.
And an arcanist's ability to "perceive" the unseen realms becomes a very prevalent key to surviving a Storm.
Tumblr media
Because with this, they can see the "in between" and the moment "reality" and the "mirrored world" starts conflicting before the Storm takes everything away due to the unstable consequences of bringing two worlds together.
They're still not immune when the Storm actually arrives, but just simply being able to "see" the signs gives them an advantage in braving it.
TLDR; Arcanists not only think differently from humans, but can see and interact with things far beyond the scope of "reality" that even other arcanists find hard to understand without training or an anchor.
The Meditator's Realm could be potential proof of parallel worlds and could be how the Manus dictates the course of what era they want to reach. As well as the unstable collision between "reality" and the "mirrored world" could be how the Storm operates.
Thank you for reading! Hope this fascinates you into thinking other theories about the Meditator's Realm and what could this mean for the world lore and arcanists.

UTTU Catalogue's Categories
Tumblr media
There's a lot about UTTU that still is unknown and they operate strangely. I've seen some conversations about it, but out of everything that's making me lose my mind is the Category Covers.
The implication of Categories creating a diverse subculture (and potentially subspecies) of arcanists within the arcane community aside, the covers literally tell us the very essence of the arcanists categorized within it are. All hidden by the fine print (seriously they're hiding the words and shrinking the letters and blending it into the colors on purpose, it's so hard to see)
The clearest one I can read full is for Arcanists; "The two-faced are among them. Born to Suffer." It's a strangely poetic way to describe how arcanists, in human society, are viewed to be ill fated people. Thus, they're born to suffer for their nature.
There's also Awakened; "Backdoor listing, welcome to the phenomenon world." Which is interesting since we know the arcanists listed in this category have a far more bizarre and even unknown way they're born and became arcanists. A form of "backdoor" approach to being born an arcanist. A Phenomenon, if you will.
The Beyond is a little hard to read near the end, but it states; "Under the surface, I know nothing but the fact of my ignorance." And who is in that category? Jessica. There's also words covered that make the word WHO and a cut off line that says "Cannot spe? spa?" Does it refer to the fact that Voyager doesn't speak?
The Mixed is even harder to really read for me, but I can make out is the half the phrase of "Where did the rationality go... -----" like it's questioning where they went wrong in the gene process to not be 'logical' enough for human society, but just 'irrational' enough to stand among arcanists yet not fully belong. A lovely commentary on mixed races.
Lastly, the reason I'm writing this whole thing, is for the Infected. Why? Well, one, we now have an official arcanist categorized to it, Ezra Theodore. (This has now been debunked and instead replaced with a far more infuriating revelation here.) And for the unofficial...
SLAMS TABLE
IT'S SCHNEIDER, YES, THIS IS ANOTHER OF MY LONG DELULU RANT ABOUT HOW WE GOT SCAMMED SO HARD DURING BETA AND LOST OUR CHANCE AT A PLAYABLE ITALIAN MAFIA GODDESS. I'M MAKING MY STANCE, BLUEPOCH PLEA--
Anyway.
The caption for this category is ominous, threatening even, being; "We know who you are and we will visit the visitors." And for those who don't know why this is important. This category pertains to one of the most fascinating cases.
Because it's for humans that can use arcanum.
Not that they have an arcane bloodline, no. They're pure blooded human that can use arcanum. And that spells a fucked up implication that could mean all sorts of things. One being human experimentation. And UTTU knows something and are making sure people in this category understood that even if they can use arcanum, they're not arcanists. Like many arcanists, they're keeping the line between humans and arcanists very clear. Even calling the category "Infected" like it's a virus, a plague. Something dirty that entered their veins.
UTTU is fascinating in this regard and I hope to see more about them in the future the more times they have these flash events and maybe even someday fully explored more in depth to its lore.

Aracnist's UDIMO
There's not many conversations about it and what people mostly chalk their UDIMO (animal/item suitcase form) up to is that it represents the arcanist as a person. Like symbolism to their personality.
But I also like how it also reflect how they're raised and what their upbringing is like.
The main ones being people raised under the Foundation, or taken it at a young impressionable age, are all dog UDIMOs. Sonetto, Horrorpedia, Medicine Pocket. Arcanists that are likely taken in by the Foundation before their arcanum has fully manifested. They're all dog UDIMOs so far. (It could as be a jab at Pavlov reference to having experimented on mainly dogs, which is fucked up) And even arcanists like X is a lil lab rat UDIMO.
I find it fascinating that UDIMO has so much more symbolism to them than just their nature as a person, but also reflects their upbringing and overall viewed by a greater narrative.

I find this fact interesting because we know from the Uluru Games that there's various different lineages of arcanists that house a particular skill, but how they pass down their arcane skills could vary from mentorship, reincarnation like Spathodea, or even resurrection like A Knight.
This note itself speaks to how the arcane community generally believed for a long time that arcane skills don't have a general pattern of being attained through genetics up until the scientific discovery of DNA and how that laces with Gnosis and how arcanum works in an arcanist. (Take note it says they now view arcane skills to "also" be inherited through DNA)
Which makes it more fascinating to think about how prestigious arcane families like the Bouanich and Mesmers would definitely have stronger chances of genetic inheritance of skills while people such as Druvis, whose family likely has no background history of arcanists in their bloodline from how sensationalized it is for her to even be one (Whoops, correction here! What I meant to imply is that there isn't explicit confirmation that she gained an arcane skill similar to her family lineage. Just that her arcane family is renowned for their consistency), inherit their skills by some other means that isn't hereditary.

The Wheel & The Rock
Time for another theory crafting and discussion on the world of reverse 1999! This time, I want to tackle something that's brewing up more and more as the story goes on.
That's The Wheel's connection to the Storm and possibly one of many catalysts to figuring out how it works.
There'll be discussions about what Chapter 5 has revealed to us, so keep that in mind. This topic is extremely long, so please take your time to read!
Let's start with The Wheel itself and what we know so far and what new information Chapter 5 brought to the table.
Tumblr media
The Wheel is something located within the suitcase, specifically in the only place that never seems to change its form no matter how much the Wilderness shifts its appearance; The Lake.
We aren't given too much of a description about this lake, but we can assume it's exactly the body of water this wheel is submerged in, surrounded by fog. And it seems that this "Storm" lake holds none of the properties left to "sift" out anyone. Unless it's being counter balanced by the fog surrounding it.
A fog that apparently has a hallucinogenic ability like that of Apeiron's inner cave of secrets.
Tumblr media
While Vertin is immune to the fog in her suitcase.
Tumblr media
She's not to the fog of Apeiron and required a means to snap out of it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which brings up the conclusion that Vertin ends up thinking about, but with something missing about it.
Tumblr media
Someone already owns the cave, therefore controls that rock. And it bends to their will only while others are repelled through means of illusions and inevitably,
Tumblr media
Fall into a trap.
This could explain how Vertin is immune to the wheel's fog. Because she's the owner of the suitcase, thus the owner of the wheel and the fog surrounding it. And how the wheel even exists could also be solve by entertaining a certain idea.
The space in the suitcase is Vertin's arcane skill.
We're often told that Vertin's not the best at arcanum, but she's still able to use it. Meaning, at some point in her time as the Timekeeper, she's able to unlock her arcane skill. And to have her ability to be purely a support spell that creates a safe space than a combative attack fits her perfectly. If you consider it this way, everything inside that space reflects her personality and being. It can explain how they can expand the space for more rooms for her team, how the wilderness bends and shifts differently to her will. It's acknowledge in a Wilderness dialogue with Door:
Tumblr media
If many things within the suitcase is reflected by who Vertin is, then it's possible that it has also reflected her ability to be immune to the Storm. That it represents as a reflection of her soul. Amidst all the surroundings at constant change, at her core, the wheel, is a never changing monument resistant to the Storm.
So that means another question has popped up. Who made the rock? It could be assumed that its place of origin is through the existence by someone or something. After all, just like the Manus masks, it's possible to create an item that can repel the effects of the Storm.
Which leads me to pitch this idea:
Tumblr media
It's made by someone in Apeiron thousands of years ago. I don't see it a possibility of the rock being a new thing to the people of the island, it's far too ancient to be recent. But this "model" 37's mother has made could possibly not just mean their theorem on calculating the Storm, but also the ability of this rock to show the island's people its "truth".
Why do I consider that?
Because Vertin's wheel has its own ability aside from creating that fog that repels the Storm:
Tumblr media
Its ability to summon arcanists.
I'll talk about it in a different post since this is getting way too long. Look forward to me going crazy conspiracy theorist on unilogs and its implications!

Note
To add on to your uttu post- I thought backdoor listing was a strange term so I googled it. From the top result : “In finance, the term “back-door listing” refers to an alternative strategy used by private companies that wish to become publicly traded” Backdoor listing might be a more generic phrase for just “alternative way to become an arcanist” here, but maybe if I knew more about investment I could find more parallels. ANYWAYS sorry for rambling in your inbox I just find arcanist categories interesting
That's really good insight and honestly not far off from what r1999 likes to do with their terminologies! Sometimes it's hard to read and comprehend a lot of the lore because of how diverse the scope they use to express many things. For that, I give bluepoch props for their research, but man having to do the same amount of research just to understand it gets hard at times.
Thanks so much for the information!
