uhh so the only city ive been to is chicago actually. (went to dallas when i was 4 and ive been in atlanta once for a two-hour layover they dont rlly count) so like idk? but chicago. i like how many people are there, not in a physical-crowds sense but like the amount of people you can and will see in a day. the anonymity of it, kind of? like how i could see the same person twice in a day while downtown but probably not even realize it. i dont think i’ve had the same bus driver twice but also i could have. i’ve never really taken a good look at them. and theres so many. but then also how quickly you can start to recognize the people around you. i often saw the same woman waiting at my train stop in the mornings, even when we werent there at the same time as yesterday. also like the buildings. from my knowledge, chicago and new york are the two tallest cities, but new york is all tall buildings, while chicago has a more clearly defined downtown area with all the skyscrapers and offfice buildings, and then outside of there, most buildings in the residential neighborhoods are at most 4 or 5 floors. and like all the houses looking kind of similar but all still completely different. my house was built in 1906 i think(around then tho), and my neighbors house was built later, more in the 50s, and they looked fairly similar on the outside, but inside, theirs had been all renovated and had white baseboards and new floors, whereas my house still had the original floors and original built in china cabinet with glass panes made of lead and the original dark stained baseboards and doors
