more of stone x old!man!reader plsplspls

Stone walked over to your house a day after you gave him brownies, with the empty plate your brownies had previously been on and a fresh batch of laddus that he had made to return the favor of you bringing him brownies. He took a deep breath before knocking on the door.

You opened the door, pleasantly surprised to see him there. "Hey, Stone," you said, smiling up at him. "Please come in."

You stepped aside so he could come in and he did so, entering your cozy three-bedroom house you had. You eyed the container of laddus, never having seen laddus before.

"What type of sweet did you bring?" you asked, curious. "I assume they're sweets, they smell like sweets."

"They're laddus," Stone explained, respectfully taking off his shoes after handing you the empty plate and the container of laddus. He set his shoes to the side, out of the way. "It's made up of besan (gram flour), ghee, powdered sugar, ground nutmeg, ground cardamon, and saffron. I wanted to return the favor of you bringing me brownies."

You smiled and set both the plate and the container down. "Thank you, they smell delicious."

You saw him shift on his feet, clearly having not expected to be inside your house.

"Come, how about you join me in eating these laddus?"

You had asked simply to make him comfortable, but also to keep him around. You didn't want him to leave just yet.

Stone seemed apprehensive at first but he then drew closer, helping you open the container. "Allow me," he murmured before picking up a laddu and turning to you.

You expected him to just hand it to you, but instead he fed it to you, bringing his hand to your mouth.

Stone didn't know why he was feeding you, all he knew was that it felt nice. He took in the way your graying hair glistened in the sunlight that shone through the windows, the way your weathered eyes lit up at the taste of the laddu and closed in enjoyment.

"Taste good?" he asked when you ate it all, not noticing he had drawn himself even closer to you until you opened your eyes. He was so close that his breath hit your cheek, and the realization made him step back just a bit.

"Sorry, hadn't meant to be so close."

God, what was he doing? He had just met you, he couldn't let the calmness that surrounded you and the wisdom that exuded from you make him melt so easily. But he found himself yearning to be close to you, to allow you to take care of him.

"No need to apologize," you said, a gentle smile making its way onto your face. You then picked up a laddu and brought it to his lips, oblivious to the way his breath hitched.

He had never been fed food before, at least not that he remembered. He had a feeling his mother had taught him how to eat with his right hand, the way Indians traditionally do, before she had left when he was three, but he had no recollection of it. And God knew that his father would've rather poisoned his food than feed it to Stone.

Still, he opened his mouth and took a bite of the laddu, letting you feed him. He felt smaller, in a good way. Like he could let go when he was around you. That he was safe here.

Together, you two ate the laddus and when you were done, it was time for Stone to go. You thanked him for the laddus and made sure he took back his container. When he left your house, you felt like he had never looked so peaceful as he had when he left.

You liked seeing him relaxed and at peace. You'd do anything to keep him safe, you promised yourself.
