glenn wasn't sure why the mayor had decided to rent out the cornfield as a corn maze for this year's halloween event — the townsfolk have never been very keen on him, what makes the mayor think they'd want to willingly get lost there ?

" do i really need to help you test this ? i - i'm really not that great with directions ! " not a complete lie, but more of an excuse than anything else. the thought of being stuck in a corn maze for hours on end didn't exactly bring joy to glenn's heart. he'd much rather just watch over his fields like he usually does.

@rar0ld, continued from here // this man was a liability if he ever saw one. of all the people he's met in this town, rarold was surely one of the most .. unpredictable, to say the very least.

glenn listened to him with growing dread, hoping the man wouldn't ask him to do some outrageous favour that he hadn't the patience for. he leaned against his countertop, fingers idly tapping as rarold continued. he didn't pay too much attention to what he was saying until suddenly, rarold was grasping his leg and sobbing onto him.

" UHHHH ? "

WHAT THE FUCK WAS HE DOING ??   glenn immediately leapt back when rarold grabbed onto his legs, wailing in the middle of his store. eyes darted from side to side, hoping no one would walk in. he knew rarold wouldn't stop until he agreed, so he reluctantly blurts out.

" FINE, FINE !!  i’ll help you find your stupid cat, just get off me ! "

talk about sad and lonely .. he glanced to the clock hanging on the wall, eyebrows furrowing together. normally he wouldn't take his lunch break for at least another hour, but he figured he may as well get this over with now. with a heavy sigh, he extends his arm, leaning away as he gingerly pushed on rarold's shoulder to ease him off his leg.

" i suppose i can take my lunch break now, b - but we can't be out for more than an hour ! just .. give me a moment to lock this place up first. "
