Raaaggh I've been gushing over the Springjara trope and I need to talk about it,,,

I keep forgetting that there was more to their relationship before Spring disappears. Every time I think about it I come up with more ways to expand on it. The timeline is set about a year after Spring is given the title of the third, so he's had plenty of time to get to know people in the complex. Jara obviously is one of his closest buddies at the time, although they didn't have much of a chance to interact a lot. During Jara's emo secluded moments (bc he's a baby without his mans) the memories of being so close to expressing himself to Spring linger a lot longer than he want. It just tears him up. All those tender moments between them that were so close to crossing the line between friends and lovers, and all the times they both wanted to admit their feelings. It's so horrible on Jara, but the urge to illustrate all of it is just too stronggggg
