NattiKay fursuit 3.0: digitigrade edition is in the works 👀 still in the planning/materials gathering stage atm but hoping to start on the actual work within the next week or so. If all goes according to plan she should be ready in time for AWU in a few months!

NattiKay 1.0 was made in 2017, followed shortly by 2.0 in 2018. I'd wanted a digi suit even back then but I was new to fursuit making and figured digitigrade might be a bit above my level, so I stuck with plantigrade. Welp, since then I've upgraded almost every part of 2.0 at least once (at this point it's probably more like 2.7 or smth lol)...EXCEPT for the wings and bodysuit, which is still that same plantigrade one I made in 2018, so it's been in use for nearly six years now. The most recent upgrade was her current head, which was...I think two years ago?

SOOO...after getting inspired by seeing some of @happyfoxx-art's WIPs, I've decided...it's finally time. No more 2.2, 2.5, 2.8. It's time for 3.0!! Gonna make every single part fresh!! And finally gonna try to upgrade to digi style legs!! Been wanting to for years and now the time is right!!

I'm a little apprehensive because I know it's gonna be a ton of work and I'm wary of getting burnt out (has happened before, usually because of rushing to finish before a con) but I am DETERMINED to pace myself and take my time and do it RIGHT even if that means slow. I'm starting early enough that there should still be plenty of time to get it done before AWU without feeling rushed, and if I'm gonna put in all the time effort to make a whole new suit from scratch instead of just a replacement here and there I want it to look GOOD. Been looking up tons of tips and tutorials and such and definitely hype! I'm trying to temper my expectations because of course my execution is not gonna be pro level BUT there's definitely a lot of potential and it should at least be decent!!

I will admit I'm "cheating" with the head by using a premade base this time though. Found a really adorable expanding-foam-cast one for sale and I'm hoping the fact that it'll be all smooth and symmetrical will help with the furring, especially around where the muzzle connects to the head, which is a spot I've always struggled with sculpting and furring in the past. And I suppose if I end up not liking it for whatever reason I could always go back and sculpt my own anyways. We shall see!

im trying to think reallt hard of like. a signature i could leave on my drawings for identification but i have literally no idea how to go about it. ive never signed my art before... i cant use my url cause i change my urls every five minutes. considering just writing "juice" as ill likely keep this name for longer but i guess id need my signature to be recognizable. do i need to make a logo. is this what this. am i in graphic design class again

In a turn of shocking events absolutely stunning no one more than myself, I might actually enjoy cooking and not only that, be good at it

#it’s like a switch just flipped or something it’s crazy #cooking genuinely used to be in my top 10 most hated activities #but these past couple days I’ve been loving it? #I wonder if the secret is that I’m ACTUALLY cooking #as in like making things from scratch and not relying on premade frozen and stovetop meals #like on Saturday I made a ran of ribs #(made bbq sauce from scratch and everything!) #and then shredded the meat for tacos #they were delicious! and I loved the process of it! #they were so yummy I brought the leftovers to work for lunch the next day!!!! #I’ve *never* done that before #last night I made pasta #and while the pasta was premade (I don’t think I’ll ever reach a point where I’m making pasta from scratch regularly lol) #(I would like to give a shot eventually though) #I made the sauce myself and actually grated fresh Parmesan cheese instead of using the powdered shit #and it was so yummy!!!! #today a friend is coming over and I’m gonna make her fried rice with some of the leftover rib meat #I woke up this morning and first thing made French toast and bacon #not frozen French toast like I actually turned the stove on #tomorrow night I am planning on making Turkey meatloaf with glazed carrots and some peas #what is HAPPENING #this used to be HELL for me and now I’m enjoying it #and food tastes???? good???? #this is insane who was gonna tell me food could taste good?????? #I used to hate food and only ate when I needed to #is this what cooking from scratch does???? it makes it taste good????? #mannnnnnn #but anyways yes I’m loving it I’m loving the process and it’s tasting good #I haven’t had a horrible accident where something tastes awful yet #(I expect it will happen eventually haha but so far!!!)

We should bring back that thing some websites used to do where whenever you made a post you could also list a bunch of random details alongside it, like the mood you’re currently feeling while writing the post, what you’re eating, music you’re currently listening to, what device you’re writing the post on, some random emoji, your personal motto at the moment, etc. It’s like additional character lore 

#I think you can do this with facebook still like you can put a current mood 'feeling XYZ' BUT you have to choose from their list #of premade emotions. You can't just type your own. #and you can't add a bunch of random extra details for no reason #Also DID websites actually do this? I might just be thinking of one or two. specifically I htink on deviant art (which I rarely ever #used except for one small period when I was like 14 yrs old and thought it would be Professional to post art there lol) #when you made a journal post type of thing I think you could put information like this. And I THINK you could maybe do something similar on #the journals on gaiaonline?? maybe also myspace but I remember so little about mysapce or if they even have a journal #type function. I MISS websites randomly having journals as like..a thing #like you had your normal post feed and then also a diary type place. It has taken me 22 fucking years to get good at building in the sims but oh well. Here we are

#yes you read that right yes i’ve been playing the sims since i was 6 yes i’ve been mostly putting my sims in cardboard boxes that whole time #i don’t like how the premade lots look and i don’t really like downloading them either so i just. end up building my own crappy #little houses #but then i watched a video today where someone was showing off their sims 2 neighbourhood and it sent me over the edge #i was like i am GOING to make something that cute if it kills me #so i watched some building tutorials and picked up ideas. and i think they actually worked for me?? #the advice was: don’t use autoroof (which had been my brother in arms for the past 22 years i’m ngl); focus mostly on the exterior #(the interior is going to be pretty acceptable regardless of what you do; is what they said) and make the house a bit smaller than what you #think it’ll need to be. and also use references #so i looked up inspiration (searched ‘starter homes’ on pinterest) and i built a really cute little house 🥹 #the theme of the neighbourhood is american dream. or middle america style. white picket fences and siding rather than bricks #lots of plants and lots of trees and fairly simple but cute builds #i’m going to challenge myself to get the neighbourhood looking how i want it before i make sims and move them in (which is normally my #favourite part. in fact normally i make sims first and then build houses for them and the houses are always rubbish 🥲) #personal

Probably not in the new story because he's a butler but I'd like to know how well Silver can cook. I've been curious about that since Sonic Channel revealed that Blaze can't cook because she winds up burning everything.

I always figured Blaze ends up burning everything despite being a pyrokinetic because she is too impatient to wait for the food to be ready, and since Silver also doesn't seem like the most patient person out there... But he cannot control flames other than having the ability to open up the burner in full, and that is something other people can put a stop to. I think that he cannot cook at all when he first came to the past, since his ruined future did not allow for any actual cooking nor had any ingredients to cook with in the first place. Amy notices and gets the jump on him immediately to provide some lessons! With her guidance, I think he can become a halfway decent cook; he definitely should not go and experiment without supervision, but he can recreate the things he's been taught decently enough without setting anything on fire. But I do think it takes him some time to really develop the necessary skills, as well as the knowledge that More Fire does not lead to Food Is Done More Quickly. And I can see him be the type who prefers quick meals like protein bars or things that need to be heated up in the microwave over cooking from scratch when he's on an adventure and has no time for relaxation.
