twitter randomly putting me back at the top of my feed when I'm hundreds of tweets down vs tumblr randomly setting me back 4 posts and letting me go on my merry way

#stupid text post #twitter will also not visibly refresh but suddenly im seeing all the same posts again #I will actually switch from 'following' to 'for you' just to get something fresh over there #but the quality of posts has been degrading recently and also only shows me posts from 2 days ago on the following tab #tumblr not sending me to the top of my dash is wonderful #but its not off the hook- when i do actually refresh i have to scroll thru everything ive reblogged the past day #before i get to the new stuff #maybe its bc i dont follow as many active users as i used to? #both sites feel like theyre slowly dying or at least just getting worse #but i refuse to get on tiktok in any significant way so i dont really have a replacement #i guess i get a lot of notifications for reddit that i sometimes skim but its not the same as reading something #pre-vetted and screenshotted onto my tumblr/twitter circles
