What’s a book you can’t stand? For me, it’s Open City by Teju Cole. Don’t care that it has awards, I’ve tried and failed to finish it 7 times. Hope everyone’s staying safe! Have you ever had a hard time letting go of a scene or a line even though you knew it didn’t fit with your story? I definitely know I have. Even though Kill Your Darlings has been popularized as synonymous with killing off characters in a story it really is a more practical bit of advice.
