Maybe she tries with books first, but the kind she tried to read are... a little more useful in marriage rather than courting, and the bible doesn't help that much either. Rollo will have to resort to looking up other stuff, like magazines and tv shows. That's the moment she makes her biggest mistake. Because, what kind of content do you think Rollo will consume and deem acceptable?

And I really hope that the existence of a preachy tv series that critiques every single popular thing among young people as quickly as possible, but also tries to appeal to them in a "how do you do, fellow kids" way, is a universal experience. I want to believe Rollo watches unironically the french equivalent of "La rosa de Guadalupe".
