One should do the pitru paksha puja at home with pooja samagri bought from the puja items online stores. Read this to know more.
Tumblr media
The Hindu culture is associated with numerous religious festivities and celebrations. Each of these occasions has a specific ritual attached to it and is done with online puja samagri. The fundamental reason behind doing these rituals is to satisfy the almighty God or even the dead ancestors or relatives One such puja occasion is the Pitru Paksha Puja, a period of 15 days when the Hindu people pay homage to their ancestors, those who have left the face of the Earth. Usually, the occasion begins two days after the pious Ganesh Chaturthi festival (after the visharjan). One also knows this by the name of Mahalaya Paksha. The days honour these lost souls who have stayed so close to the heart of their beloved family by giving them food offerings and puja saman.
Sarvapitri Amavasya is the last of the Pitru Paksha. On this day, if one does not know about the death of any deceased soul, they can perform their Shradh on this occasion. Another ritual known as Tarpan, done with Indian puja items, include feeding all the Brahmins and doing pind daan to please the dead ancestors. The offering given consist of ghee, honey, sugar, ice, and the milk fo the cow. On the day of Tarpan, an offering is made with water mixed with grass, barley, white flour, kusha grass, black sesame to reduce the effect of the evil Sarpa Dosha.
The Pitru Puja Ritua:-
One should try to perform this puja without any negativity in mind; otherwise, the ancestors will not be pleased. One should keep a fresh mind and also carry peacefulness of the mind while performing this ritual with pooja samagri. Firstly, one is required to keep a wooden stool in the south direction, covered totally with a holy white cloth. One has to spread some black sesame and barley seeds on it, as a part of the ritual after buying all ingredients from the puja items online store. One can also place the image of his ancestor in front. Kusha grass can also be utilized as an alternative since it is believed to contain Vishnu particles.
The principal significance of this ritual done with puja kit is to invite the ancestors, by chanting their name or surname - '' We, the entire family invite you to our home during this period of Pitra Paksha.''
One is also recommended to add some raw cow’s milk, sesame, rice, and barley before the image to satisfy his/her soul.
The mantra chanted during this puja is -
“ये बान्धवा बान्धवा वा ये न्यजन्मनि बान्धवा:।
ते तृप्तिमखिला यान्तु यश्र्चास्मत्तो भिवाञ्छति।।”
The pinda preparation process -
This gets done with ingredients bought from the pooja stores at affordable prices. Prepare the pinda with rice, milk, gangajal, and honey. Now, one makes a ball by mixing all pooja things and then place it just before the image. One can also keep it on a leaf, usually a banana leaf. One knows the ritual or procedure by the name of Pinda Daan. After the ceremony gets completed, one can offer this to a cow as it is hailed very holy. All this should be done with great devotion.
One can also buy pooja items from “PujaShoppe,” a popular divine store selling spiritual items.
