I doubt I’m the only person to notice this but… what is going on with those turquoise beads Joshua wears around his waist?

His outfit is otherwise predominantly the red and black of House Rosfield. You never see Clive, Elwin, Annabella, or even Jill wearing beads like that - nothing to suggest they’re part of Rosarian culture or his family livery.

There is only one other person I’m aware of wearing anything similar. And they’re practically an exact match:

… that’s the Emperor Sylvestre Lesage. Dion’s father. And those colours are very much part of the Sanbreque/Lesage livery.

I am dying to know if there’s any character design commentary out there from the developers about the decision to give Joshua those beads. It seems like a very deliberate choice. It makes me genuinely wonder if they’re supposed to have been a gift from Dion, when they were children - given the strength of Dion’s reaction to Joshua turning up alive, and Joshua’s certainty that Dion would join him, it feels like that “I met him once” must have been more significant to both of them than it sounds.
