Listen To Petra Jasmiina's As She Shares Her Bitter Sweet Feelings On "Summer Dress" From the moment you press play you are greeted by the lush vocals of Petra Jasmiina on her latest Summer Dress where she did everything herself from scratch to finish and I must say I am really impressed with the outcome a perfect fit for an artist her caliber. In Summer Dress, Jasmiina’s voice is the light, the acoustic instrumentation is the dark but Bold beats lurk in the background, however, the pure emotions oozing from the song can be felt with each note she sings. It's not just about listening; it's about feelingᅳas if each lyric and note are paintings on a canvas. Petra Jasmiina realized her passion for music early in life, singer-songwriter and producer Petra Jasmiina was writing lyrics as a 9-year-old. Isn't it strange? Although she was born in Finland she started writing English poems right from the start. Fast forward to when she was in her mid-twenties, that was when she kickstarted her musical career in NYC. She lived in many different countries, but it was in the indie music scene of NYC where she became known as a unique voice among many artists. Summer Dress is a bitter-sweet song that pulls at your heartstring and stealing ypur attention and before you realize you end up putting it on repeat. The instrumentation is nostalgic which gives the song its eerie feel to help express the emotions of the singer Listen to Summer Dress below https://open.spotify.com/track/2LMaMDw8NrTEm6GXVJn1rr?si=698420f0477d4da7 Follow Petra Jasmiina on Facebook Twitter Spotify Soundcloud Bandcamp Youtube Instagram

Christine Sako
Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN, Christine Sako spent some harsh winters bundled up indoors with a guitar and a notebook. Learning to play guitar right before the onset of her high school years in 2002, it didn’t take Christine long to figure out the best way to handle teenage angst and heartache was through writing music. Slowly but surely, she started making meager recordings to share with friends and anyone who would listen. Having finished school and knowing Minnesota winters were too much to take on, Christine packed up her essentials in 2012 and drove halfway across the country to San Diego, CA. Since then, she has been writing and recording with the inspiration that her relocation brought her. Her latest single is ‘Sediments’."'Sediments' is about the emotional foundation that builds up over the course of a long relationship and how the ending of that relationship does not immediately or ever completely dissolve what was created,” she says. ”Even though there is wear and erosion over time, the little bits that once were part of the rock that amassed over time still exist in whatever capacity the new space allows." Listen below.
Petra Jasmiina
‘YCHM’, the new single by Petra Jasmiina, celebrates independence, individuality and buying your own darn roses for Valentine’s Day. This fun, sassy splash of electronic pop combines a catchy hook with an important message of self-love and learning to enjoy your own company. Petra Jasmiina, a Finnish singer-songwriter living in New York City, is known for her fresh, unique indie pop sound and witty lyricism. Her debut EP, Cygnet, introduced her as a bright new artist in the New York indie scene, and has since opened doors to legendary music venues such as Pete’s Candy Store and Pianos. The artist names Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding and Halsey as her biggest influences, and one thing they all have in common is the skill to weave an important message into the fabric of a fun, light-hearted pop song. These are exactly the makings of ‘YCHM’. This collaboration between the Finnish singer-songwriter and Vietnamese-American electropop producer Wind Meets West tells the story of rising above a bad break-up and learning to love being on your own. Some light-hearted sass, and a beat to make you want to dance with yourself make ‘YCHM’ the perfect Valentine’s Day antidote. Listen below.

KIPANI
Kipani is an artist based in Upstate New York. Her popular single ‘Above’ marked her acceptance into the indie pop community. She released her first EP, Take a Minute, in June 2020. It is a project exposing vulnerability, personal struggles, and insecurity, all meticulously masked with an upbeat pop edge. Since then her and her band have been making waves across Upstate New York. ‘Admit Defeat' is the first single release of the new year and it's also the first release off Kipani's full length album, Mediocracy, dur to drop this summer. “This song is all about that overwhelming feeling that you just can't get a break,” she says. “It's haunting in its arrangement and captures honest raw emotion. The crescendo towards the end evokes the final breaking point of just giving up and ultimately making peace with "admitting your defeat".” Listen below.

Girls Like Us
London trio Girls Like Us were formed in 2018 and are inspired by 90s grunge, the riot grrl movement and feminism. Their latest single ‘Not Your Baby’ was written by singer and bassist Amelia and was recorded and produced by drummer Blue Geen. Collaborating back and forth on separate sides of London they managed to individually record their parts from their homes. The band say: “The song is about getting away from a very toxic relationship, being in a dark place because of the impact of this and finally establishing the fact that you’re not their “property” and don’t belong to them. It’s kind of about breaking free.” Apart from playing together in our band, both Lauren and Geen work in sound production and Amelia puts on events under Cigarette Pie. “Everything we do in life is revolves around music and creativity. I think that’s why we gel so well together. We also love getting drunk so that’s also another reason haha.” Listen to ‘Not Your Baby’ below.
Niamhy Mac
Niamhy Mac is a Scottish 18 year old singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. She recently released her debut EP Don't Wish Your Life Away which consists of five songs which she wrote and performed entirely by herself. She is an unsigned artist, and her dad helps her produce the songs, therefore she gets full control of her ideas. She is influenced by a variety of genres such as alternative rock, punk, folk and her roots of Scottish traditional music, all of which is evident in her songs. “In general, the message of the song ‘Pacify’ is advising people not to overthink,” says Niamh. “I wanted to deal with it in a relatable, compassionate way. Since it is something that I struggle with, as does everyone at times, I made this song as a gentle reminded to myself and others.” Listen below.
