ㅤ"That…” he started, head tilted up as his eyes squinted, feigning that he was actually considering the statement, which was very clearly a threat. It was a good one, actually, because he definitely worried more about putting his friends into dangerous, reckless situations than himself, but that was a future problem and he intended to be around to help deal with it. The implication from Kylo Ren was also that he intended for Poe to be around to suffer circumvent the threat. “Sounds like a slow process. Listen, I have places to be, so when you fire that up, you just let me know.”

ㅤ"Oh, there's nothing easy about it. Dumb has a broad spectrum and it takes some serious experience to get asked dumb questions and match that energy with an equally dumb answer," he offered, tone a little too dry to be convincingly matter-of-fact. In fairness, he wasn't really trying - they both were a little too close to the same wavelength on this particular issue for pretending.
ㅤ“Natural talent’s a thing, but everyone keeps telling me I can’t get by on talent alone.” His eyes did not track where BB-8 had gone, but even if he had, the droid would have disappeared almost immediately into the crowded outpost and Poe was either going to manage a somewhat peaceful exit from this conversation or he was stalling to give BB time to pull something together; that depended on the bounty hunter. So much for a quick, easy little supply run.
