I was rewatching the “this ends when I grant them my forgiveness not the other way around” speech again (because whoah NELLY) and I just noticed flint literally mouthing the words “what does it matter” in shock after Miranda says it. I don’t even think he’s mad in this scene, I think he’s hurt and confused and genuinely scrambling to try and figure out what Miranda is talking about. What the FUCK do you mean what does it matter!? My entire narrative is built on what happened! I’ve created myself in the image of my grief for thomas, at my rage at the empire!? How can you look at me and ask me why it matters, it is everything!
Flint could’ve never been saved. Miranda tried, and she died for it
