Timbuktu Campground @ Echo Bluff State Park is one of the nicest campgrounds that we have visited. They have full hookup sites on concrete pads that are spacious. The location is convenient to many historic venues & sites to visit. It’s a very peaceful & relaxing place to stay. There isn’t any cellphone service, but they do have Wi-Fi. There’s wildlife & wild horses in the area. Situated along a scenic route. It’s a perfect place to set up camp if you’re a nature lover. Plenty of hiking, canoeing, and outdoorsy stuff to do. Echo Bluff State Park is a magnificent place to visit with cabins, a restaurant, gathering room, playground, lookout bluff, access to Sinking Creek, & trails. Last year, while I was pregnant and Covid had us in shutdown mode, I worked with my dad to republish his book Big Boy. After talking with the family I took on republishing my Grandma’s books as well. I’m doing this in what little free time I got- I still plan on some hikes this year and I plan on getting my poor neglected blog back online. But I’m excited about the #penningtonbooks project (as I call it). We created a little company called @jpbrandbooks last year and this year eight books will be released- including this one! It’s one of my favorites. I plan on using a different photo but wanted to show a draft I was working on. I’m hoping that later this year I will be able to put out a revised edition with updated information.
