I want to preface this by saying thank you to the handful of people who reached out to me with kind words. 

Truthfully, its been an exceptionally hard few months. I’m still feeling the pain of losing my abuelita in April, the voice actor of my comfort character and muse in March, and not being able to completely graduate in May. I’m thankful that the administration still let me walk during the ceremony, but I have quite a bit of work to do on my thesis document (and defend it, as well) before I’m finished. 

On top of that, returning to the workforce and job searching have added additional stress. 

During this erratic time, my instagram somehow managed to take off. After one of my reels went viral with now over 100K likes, I somehow managed to get over 7K followers. I’ve gotten dozens of commissions. But the attention only makes me incredibly conflicted. 

My art is getting more attention and interaction on Instagram in five days than I received here on tumblr for the past ten years. Because likes on Instagram actually help artists. That disparity alone made me tempted to just kick the proverbial bucket and avoid posting any art here. 

With that said, I still miss my roleplay partners. Especially the ones who have stuck around despite my hiatus and major dip in activity. In all honesty, my writing partners are the only things keeping me here. 

I will be returning to tumblr, but slowly and tentatively. Truthfully, I’ve lost a lot of faith in this site for supporting artists and the motivation to write has dwindled due to the workload still needed for my thesis. But I do plan on tentatively staying-- at least for the people who were there for me.
