When the girls and I look outside our beer box, who knows where we will end up! Saké you say?! 👀 Heck yes! 🙋🏻‍♀️ Much thanks to Saké One for sharing a taste, and opening our eyes to the vast and varied style and nuances of saké. It was also interesting to learn that #sake or #japanesericewine is produced similarly to beer, with starch converting to sugars, then fermenting into alcohol. We paired both the Momokawa Organic Mint Cooler (recipe below) as well as the Momokawa Diamond, with an assortment of charcuterie and accoutrement. The tart and dry cheeses complimented nicely with the apple and pear notes of the Momokawa Diamond Saké. Has your experiences with saké only been served warm? Mine too … so it was a delicious experience drinking them chilled! SAKÉ MINT COOLER ¼ cup club soda ½ tsp lime juice ½ tbsp simple syrup 3 oz Momokawa Organic 6 mint leaves 3 cucumber slices In shaker, muddle 5 mint leaves and 2 cucumber slices. Add lime juice, simple syrup, Momokawa Organic saké and ice. Shake Shake Shake then pour over ice and slowly stir in club soda. Garnish with mint leaf & cucumber slice … enjoy! 🍶🥒🌱 Take a look at @sakeoneoregon and everything they offer, and if you are near the Forest Grove Oregon area then have a visit, take a tour, or even participate in a DIY class … all while sipping delicious saké!
