Episode Zero is everything I could have wanted out of FFXIII worldbuilding

#final fantasy xiii #it's not perfect (serah in particular becoming a l'cie is extremely uneventful considering how much of an impact the event has) #but it's great seeing the characters interacting with the world for a change #i did remember liking this setting and i guess Ep 0 was the main reason why #Vanille & Fang's chapters in particular are great #so much Pulse lore! #and Rygdea my beloved #he's surprisingly prominent in the novels xD #not bad for a character who design wise only has a head xD #the one thing I really want to know though is who is Cid's Sanctum mole #I feel like it's either Rosch who is very clearly not super onboard with the Sanctum's plans despite loyally carrying them out #or Dysley feeding information to his puppet l'cie #i really wonder when it was that Cid became a l'cie #i wish the supporting cast had more to do in the game #they had great designs and their own motivations but only showed up for a couple of scenes to antagonize the heroes
