Here is my role reversal AU where the Kittisawats are the powerful mafia family, and the Theerapanyakuls are the poor brothers cousins trying to survive. Also they’re all sex workers. 

Tankhun is the overworked and overstressed eldest trying to take care of his family. Korn is a sick old man, likely to die any day now, and Gun is their shady, unreliable uncle who takes advantage of his brother’s failing health and the boys for his own gain. He’s part of a low-level gang; robberies, muggings, minor car theft. Nothing that would get the attention of actual organized criminals. A scumbag. 

Kinn and Vegas are the primary supports. Tankhun does his best, but he’s got his own trauma to work through. Kinn is the bartender fucking patrons for extra tips; Vegas is just a prostitute, and he doesn’t try to hide it. He also deals drugs on the side, and sometimes is forced into helping with Gun’s crimes. First as a lookout when he was young, then as an active participant. Kinn and Khun both fight with him about his methods. Kinn, because he thinks Vegas is reckless, getting involved with his father like that. He won’t be able to avoid the police forever if he keeps engaging in violent crime. Vegas thinks none of them can afford to be scrupulous with their morals, and none of them can deny that he delivers. 

Tankhun, a former prostitute himself, until he was kidnapped and… had a bad time… scolds Vegas for being so reckless with his own sex work. He’s terrified of anyone in his family going through the same things he did. Now he’s agoraphobic as hell, terrified of strangers, and only manages to pull himself together for the sake of his family. He still does sexwork, but now he’s just a camboy; there isn’t much else he can do that doesn’t require him to leave the house, when he’s a college drop-out with no qualifications or marketable skills. 

Kim’s bright plan was to become a YouTube sensation, get famous, and make it so none of his family ever has to work again. It doesn’t pan out quite that way. He does have and maintain a channel for his music, sharing recording equipment with Tankhun, but it’s small time. He does have a significant amount of subscribers; between that and his patreon, it’s not enough to live off of, but it’s enough for him to put himself through school. Anything extra he gets goes towards his family; Tankhun always tries to protest, but Kim can see the way some of the tension leaves his eyes when he doesn't have to worry about the month’s bills. Unlike the elder cousins, the closest Kim ever comes to sex work is playing his guitar shirtless on his patreon. Maybe a couple times people have offered to pay him for ~extra services~, but he just can’t bring himself to do it. 

Macau is still in high school. He tutors people for extra cash (read: does their assignments for a hefty fee) and helps Kim edit his music/videos. Wants to be a DJ someday. The two of them are close, as the babies of the family. Closer than Kim is to his own brothers, but the same can’t be said for Vegas; he and Macau are thick as thieves. 

One day Kinn gets a job as a personal bartender. He doesn’t bother trying to hide that he’s working for Porsche Kittisawat, and Kim isn’t shy about calling him a kept boy. He doesn’t begrudge his brother the choices he makes, he just wishes Kinn didn’t have to make them. Kinn puts up a good front, but Kim knows the craves the intimacy of a lasting relationship. He’s desperate for something real. To love and be loved. Kim is too jaded to stake any belief in finding something like that. 

Then he meets Chay. 

Chay is actually a fan of his. A very generous fan who regularly makes sizeable donations. Kim owes his upgraded recording equipment to Chay’s generosity, though he has no idea who his online benefactor is. 

Kim is local talent. Sometimes he gets called to play small shows every once in a blue moon. Kinn is pretty good at pulling the strings to get Kim booked at his club, courtesy of Porsche, who’s really making the offer on Chay’s behalf. It’s how Kim ends up meeting Chay. Not that he makes the connection. 

Chay is in the crowd, watching him with more interest than he thinks he’s earned. Kim thinks it’s regular attraction, the kind he’s used to. Used to it dropping off when people get to see the real him too; his pretty face isn’t enough to make up for his ugly life, especially when his personality isn’t enough to act as a buffer. Kim buys him a drink after the show anyway. They talk, they flirt, Chay admits to being a fan, which is nice. Kim’s never been recognized before. 

They start seeing each other. Kim still doesn’t connect Chay ro Kinn or to his favorite subscriber. Thanks to Kinn (and Chay’s) efforts, he keeps doing shows. Gets booked for better clubs as he proves himself able to handle it. He doesn't want to know what it cost his brother; he hopes it’s not too much, and Kinn always assures him he’s fine. He seems to mean it, and Kim is just selfish enough not to question it if it means his dream coming true. He starts promoting his shows online, and Chay is there at every one. Pretty soon that leads to seeing each other outside of shows, too, then going on dates. 

It’s building towards something. But before they can fall over that edge, Kim finds out about everything. The mafia, Chay’s subscription, Chay getting him these shows. All but paying for him. Kim is devastated. He knew better than to trust Chay from the start, it was too good to be true, and now look at what’s happened. 

He goes to his family. 

Tankhun, shrewd as ever, tells him it doesn’t change anything just because he knows now. Vegas, ruthless, tells him to use Chay for everything he’s worth until the money dries up. Macau thinks it’s romantic; that Chay admired him from afar, only for them to meet by chance and fall in love. Except they didn’t meet by chance, and Kim isn’t in love. 

Kinn understands, though. Kim didn’t expect him to. He didn’t give his brother enough credit. He thought Kinn would be like Vegas and Khun. Instead he tells Kim to follow his heart. He knows Kim isn’t like them, isn’t built for the kind of life where he can set aside his feelings and use someone else for his own gain. He’s too much of an artist for that. 

Kim tells all of this to Chay, who says that he doesn’t want to buy Kim, either. If Kim doesn’t return his feelings, that’s okay. They can go back to the way they were. They can be friends, or Chay can just be an anonymous name on a screen. He wants to be with Kim, but he doesn’t want to pay Kim to pretend with him. 

It’s exactly what Kim needed to hear.

She catches the attention of Akito while frequenting one of the live houses and they decide to team up after seeing the determination in each other. An's hunt for a partner has started to increase outside the typical crowd she hangs around with and she comes across Nene practicing alone around school.

They become a proper group when An and Akito see just how big Rad Weekend was and agree that they need more help. It's a bit of a struggle to form either a cohesive band or singing group as Shiho can't really sing while the other three can

With Saki newly out of the hospital, she wants to catch up on as many things as she can and what better way to do that then to start hanging around the amusement park for a bit. Emu notices her being upset after none of her childhood friends come with and decides to cheer her up with a show. Saki decides to help Emu out in return and later asks Airi if she wants to join after finding out about her breaking away from the idol industry. Mizuki gets involved when Emu decides she wants a new costume designer.

Airi decides theater acting can't be all that different from being on stage and wants to bring hope to people, but she's soon reminded of all the skits she would be forced to perform, while Mizuki is left wondering if this is the image they want for themselves

Kanade still posts her music online, but Honami is a bit more involved this time after admitting she used to play the drums. She sticks around with Kanade more often when Kanade insists that she could use the extra sounds in making music. While Touya may have stopped practicing classical music, he hasn't completely broken from his fathers hold just yet to start singing. He takes to scrolling online when he comes across one of Kanade's songs and decides he wants to get back into composing for a bit. A similar situation happens with Haruka after she decides she can't be on stage anymore, except she still posts her singing under an anonymous name

They start forming a group after Kanade starts taking notice of their works and wants them to join her and Honami even if they don't want recognition at the moment

Euphoric Echoes

After Saki's hospitalization, Shizuku becomes increasingly worried about Tsukasa's increase in independence, which eventually leads her to find out about Ichika's when she starts to leave the idol industry on her own. She then starts seeing the same signs in Mafuyu after she meets her and decides to try one last time at inspiring hope in people.

They take a softer, acoustic approach to music with Tsukasa's piano and Ichika's guitar. Mafuyu still writes lyrics for Shizuku to sing. It's a little difficult to always meet up though with Mafuyu's mom, so Mafuyu tries to take advantage of either tutoring Ichika or Shizuku's popularity to get out of the house a bit more

Playhouse Collective

Rui has completely given up on trying to act like a 'normal' person and has elected to start taking the night classes where he occasionally runs into Ena. One day, Minori and Kohane are passing through when they notice on of his guerilla performances. With Minori facing another rejection letter, Kohane tries to encourage her with inspiring hope to people elsewhere. Minori decides on hunting down Rui to ask if she could join him when he refuses her. Becoming inspired by him herself, Kohane becomes determined in helping Minori catch his attention.

After they become a trio and Minori gets the idea to start posting videos and streaming, Rui enlists the help of Ena with her social media experience. Ena hadn't exactly been planning on joining a theater/idol mix, but if there's a chance for her art to get attention then she's willing to consider to proposition

i’m going to bed but looking for a little advice. i basically learned all the open chords on guitar as a kid, and kinda stopped there. i’m struggling to like. improve guitar because the sheer Amount of chords that exist is massive. and trying to look up chord charts and shit doesn’t get me very far. where did you go after learning the basic open chords? what did you pursue. i play random chords all the time on guitar but nothing is confident and i never actually know how the thing i’m gonna hit will sound and i want some like. structure. to some degree.

idk anyway if anyone has any advice that would be cool, i’ll check replies on my work break tomorrow i sleepy af.

Speaking of, what do you like to think Max does after the Bay Ending?

I tend to headcanon that she doesn't stay in Arcadia Bay.

She tries to stay in town and finish school so Chloe's sacrifice has more meaning, but it's extremely difficult to be around Blackwell after everything that happened.

So during winter break she drops out and cites watching Chloe die in the bathroom as the reason. This leads her to her parents door and she moves back in with them and tries to leave Arcadia Bay behind her.

During the first few months she isolates and journals her thoughts non stop. It's a way to keep grounded while also sorting out her own emotions about everything. Eventually she goes and sees a therapist that she really clicks with after her parents REALLY pushed for her to get some kind of mental help.

I tend to think she drops her dream of being a photographer in this ending. Mostly because photos are a huge source of trauma now and she can't really discuss that with anyone. Instead she focuses on music as it's an outlet for all the emotions she's feeling.

It takes her a few years to get back on her feet fully. There's a lot of up's and downs in between that, but she is eventually able to move on and live like Chloe would want her to.

She gets a music degree from an online collage and a job as a guitar tutor for kids. It's fulfilling work and she really throws herself into it as everyday becomes a little easier. After assuring she has a steady income she gets her own apartment where there's a cute neighbor that lives next door. She's not sure where that will go if anywhere, but life is strange enough for her to be open to it.

That got a bit fanficy in the end, but Max moving forward from grief means so much to me. I really like to think that eventually she does great things with her life and everything is able to work out with time.

when was the last time you cried? - this morning!! nothing 2 be concerned about i got woken up by the fire alarm (also nothing to be concerned about it just needs the battery replaced) and was so tired & upset i started crying, which happens. more often than i would like. hm. maybe i named myself after the wrong afton kid

do you have kids? - nope!! i do like interacting with them though but only like 3 max at a time JFJRJFNG

do you use sarcasm a lot? - irl yes, online only sparingly. & i make it very exaggerated not usually deadpanned or anything so people can Tell (which of course nobody needs except for Me but i digress)

what sports do you play/have played? - did soccer when i was a little kid (Hated It), was on a swim team for a while, and did marching band for the longest (which is my favorite and yes it counts as a sport and you cannot say it doesn't until you've been in marching band. cunt)

what's the first thing you notice about other people? - typically clothes and then hair! i have a relatively mild (but still pretty bad compared to ppl without it) case of face-blindness, and i CANNOT tell people apart by their faces at all unless they have smth like a bunch of facial piercings or a scar or smth Noticable so i tend to look at other things first.

eye colour? - ??? hazel-brown ??? no idea tbh but at least partially brown

where were you born? - arizona/usa. same town as my mom actually (despite her moving like 7 times in between her birth and mine)

what are your hobbies? - listen to music and pace around my room until i pass out. and painting, writing, drawing, various other arts n crafts, guitar, percussion when i have the chance (rn i only have a practice pad :|), and mobile games of heavily varying quality.

do you have any pets? - not atm but i used to have two cats (both still alive just in different household) that i still consider my little kitties :] i have 150+ pictures of them on my phone if you ever need cats i Got you

how tall are you? - 5'11" now!!! was hovering around 5'7"-8" for the longest time but i recently had a growth spurt and now im only the SECOND shortest in my family (out of six)

favourite subject in school? - by the material probably math! it is sometimes difficult for me to get a concept but once i do it's Easy. i also do have an advantage (parent has math degree and is good at explaining) but i try and make up for it by helping everyone else as much as i can jfjdndjf. by the Class def band/music class if that counts. both of my music teachers have been both very scary yet very nice to me and i loved their classes so so much and i extremely enjoy playing instruments with other people (when they behave)

dream job? - sorting pokemon cards in a comfortable chair as a day job with a 4 day workweek, being a freelance renowned fiction editor on my own time, with occasional music-related gigs (tutoring, repairing stuff, playing in concerts, etc). i give you no shit if i could do that for the rest of my life and get paid well enough to live on my own or with roommates i like, have a cat, and have enough time and energy to homecook a meal 3-4 nights a week i would be so happy. that's all i want in life. "oh you would get bored doing the same thing day in day out" no i wouldn't "how" autism.

he didn't really have a plan for his life, and all his parents really wanted out of him was just for him to go to college. an acceptance to duke university was sweetened by some scholarships, and whatever those didn't cover was easily made up for by the wads of cash his family had. taka had started smoking weed not long after landing in the US, but she branched out into new drugs while in durham, north carolina, for college.

acid trips were unpleasant every time she tried dropping; and she didn't like injecting anything to leave marks behind on her pretty body. but she soon found a bad habit in cocaine. she would sniff a few lines, party for several hours, go home and do homework, go to class, and go to modeling shoots, and do it all over again. somehow, using sheer ambition probably, she finished college within 4 years, even with a double major and a couple semesters spent studying abroad.

bouncing around the US for a year or so; living with his aunt in japan for a couple years; and then landing in anchorage for the next adventure around 2016

these days, taka keep busy in any way she knows how: too long with her own thoughts can be dangerous and make her itch to return to her cocaine habit. but they've done a good job of staying clean. taka doesn't need to work for money—his mother sends him gobs of money to curry his favor, and his father and stepmother have nobody else to spoil—but he does work to stay busy, spinning tunes at the boom boom room; modeling for small indie publications and brands; and gaining some traction as a music producer.

with more money than one person should ever need, taka gives a lot of it away. there are a few charities she routinely makes generous donations to; but she also likes to take care of her friends. she'll buy her closest friends whatever they want, buy their groceries, offer to pay rent or even let them stay in her house, offer to pay their medical bills... seriously, what is one lonely person gonna do with all those digits in their bank account? besides, spending money is the only way she knows how to show love.

A reverse KinnPorsche (PorscheKinn ?) AU

I thought about this yesterday during shower (the best place for crazy ideas) and then @lovetoreadrose posted a request about it. This is based on the characteristics of the characters from the series and not the books.

Also, prepare for some necessary OOC.

Porsche is the rising head of the Kittisawasd family in the mafia world. He is known as the bodhisattva of the underworld (for being merciful) but his enemies know that if they ever see the rumored tattoo of the fiery phoenix on his back, even hell won’t save them.

Kinn happens to see it right in the first night they meet. (and later a major pleasure point during sex)

Chay is a cinnamon roll, guitar lover but not good at playing it. Porsche is looking for a trustworthy tutor for him, one that will not have his throat open during a change of strings but hasn’t found one yet (later Kinn -> Kim).

The 3 Theerapanyakul brothers live in a small on the outskirts of Bangkok, with the house (not a large one but comfortably spacious) that was left over by their parents.

Tankhun suffers from PTSD from his parents’ death in a car crash (he and Kinn were both in the car as well and Tankhun is the one who instinctively protected Kinn from any incoming shards and anything colliding in his direction) and has long developed social anxiety due to it. He has an online bakery though (the kitchen being his sacred place in the house), which Kinn fully supports. He is very extravagant and that is reflected in his cakes and pastries. He is also an underground, popular love guru (unknown to Kinn, and later even gives advice to Porsche).

Kim plays guitar and writes music for local productions. It’s not a money job but Kinn approves of it because he just wants him to be happy. There is a large age gap between Kinn and Kim, and Kinn really loves his brothers. He just doesn’t show it often.

Kinn is a music performer/bartender at night while managing a small youth hostel (not his obviously), later revealed to be a place where shady business happens. Kinn is used to it.

Kinn and Kim sometimes play together at night. Both brothers are normally being flirted by other people. Kinn also earns extra tips here. It is one of these nights that Porsche catches eye on Kinn. He asks Kinn to tutor Chay but the latter refuses and they start on the wrong foot because Porsche can be patronizing, saying he doesn’t earn enough at the bar and Kinn also sarcastically telling someone with too much good taste as Porsche would never understand the music of peasants.

At the back of the bar (same night), Porsche is attacked by a group of thugs and he and Kinn, although clumsily and still in their argument, fight together and somehow in unison, and get rid of those thugs.

During the fight, Kinn loses his watch (instead of being taken by Porsche), and because it was a gift from Tankhun, Tankhun makes a fuss about him losing it.

Porsche contacts Kinn again because of the watch and says he will only return it if Kinn meets him in the compound. There, Kinn sees Chay “playing” the guitar (more like murdering the guitar), and out of frustration, just teaches him how to hold it properly. Somehow, there are more attackers (because the security in the house is not good) and Kinn ends up protecting the younger mafia lord, breaking his arm in the process. Chay offers him compensation but Porsche wants to hire him.     

Porsche doesn’t trust anyone since all people either just want to use him or usurp him.

Pete should be Porsche’s main bodyguard but is more of a best friend.

Arm and Pol became good friends with Kinn, because Arm is as sarcastic and Pol is just oblivious to both men’s jokes about him.
